This was our second visit as we are from out of town. Wish we could get there more often. Everything we had was wonderful. Started with an appetizer sampler platter. Our party of 4 all had separate entrees. Very nice sized portions and all were delicious. Service was very good as well. My only suggestion would be for them to have smaller salads. My husband and I split a Caesar and it was stil way too big. It was very good though. Can’t wait to get there again!

I’ve been going here for years and always get the curry and hummus. The curry is absolutely amazing. It’s not quite like a Thai curry, but more with a Mediterranean feel. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have never had anything that I didn’t like. The price points aren’t bad for what you get. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Wichita.

We stopped in to Lunas for a late lunch this weekend. I ordered their pasta diablo and my partner ordered the carbonara. We also ordered cocktails. My partner’s melon margarita was served in a salted pint glass. I’ve had a few margaritas in my time and only in the least desirable places have I been served a margarita in a pint glass(plastic cup for equally professional consideration). Lunas has a full bar BTW. I’m not sure what they’re thinking. On to the pasta. My diablo was delicious. I’m used to this dish served with standard penne and a healthy amount of spicy sauce. Luna’s recipe doesn’t offer much sauce and it packs a skinny version of penne. That’s not to knock their dish. It works and I’d order it again. Their carabonara, on the other hand, did not meet the mark. By that I mean, what they serve does not meet the definition of what carabonara is suppose to be. The dish certainly does have some variations depending on where you go but Luna pushes that boundary beyond an acceptable format for the title. Luna serves a plate of macaroni with peas and mushrooms for their version of carabonara. It’s not way off the mark, but I don’t think it should be called carabonara. It’s an okay dish. They serve it a little on the spicy side. But they should consider calling it something else. Like what it is: macaroni with peas and mushrooms! In the end, the manager didn’t charge us for the dish. The service was polite, professional, and courteous. The interior is stylish and comfortable and it looked like they have outdoor patio seating for when it gets warmer. I’d like to stop over again for some cocktails and appetizers on a warm sunny afternoon.

They have a really good chicken schwama they serve which I always get. I have had their pasta once but always go back to the chicken shwama. They have really good fries but i prefer their fatoush salad. Great atmosphere and typically busy for lunch and dinner. For dinner you may need reservations but during lunch they do a great job getting people in and out. I have never had bad service here. I make my own hummus and I really love their hummus but ask for all pita bread and no pita chips to go with the hummus.

The must order item of this restaurant is the pita and hummus. I’ve always loved hummus and have tried it at multiple places. This place is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The pita is soft and has good texture, the hummus I cannot even describe. I got the hummus shawarmah to be specific but I assume all the hummus and pita are pretty good. With that being said I will go onto the entrée. I got the seafood trio. It was basically a plate of rice topped with all sorts of seafood. The scallops and mussels were especially good. My friend got the lobster ravioli, which was very creamy and the ravioli pieces were pretty large. The service was great too. Didn’t have to wait much at all. The waitress gave me more pita when I asked to take the rest of the hummus to go. So long story short, get the pita and hummus.

This place is always worth it! Bella Luna is one of my favorite places to eat in town. Being a poor college student I do not often go out to eat due to my financial situation, but when I do, this is worth the splurge. The hummus and pita are by far the best in Wichita. When I do not have the chance to go to Bella Luna, I find myself searching for hummus and pita that would maybe come close to what is offered there, but I always end up slightly disappointed that I did not just order some from Bella Luna directly. Great flavor and texture. Another great dish is the Carbonara with shrimp. This was life changing for me. Great flavors and the shrimp had a slight kick which made it even better. As far as customer service goes, this really impressed me the most. The servers were very polite and did the job quietly without making us feel rushed to leave. I was genuinely impressed with that. Overall, I love this place. Great food and service, and the owner is super nice too!

Bella Luna is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Wichita. The service and quality is consistently top notch. Just the other night my gal and I went in on a Monday and we had our food within 5 minutes of ordering! I always start with hummus & pita, they have some of the best hummus in the city. I typically get the Pasta Carbonara with chicken. The serving sizes are large and it’s usually enough for a leftover snack or meal. They give mint chocolates with the checks, I always forget so it’s a pleasant surprise. Speaking of the checks, it’s very reasonably priced, two meals and an appetizer for only $ 40 with a tip!

One of the things I look for when going out to eat other than the food is how quickly I get my food. I love it here. Service is always exceptional, even on busy days. I love coming here with friends for dinner. I usually either get the prime rib eye steak or chicken curry. You know what’s the best feeling after devouring a platter of deliciousness? Not being able to move for awhile because you’re just too full. Thank you, Bella Luna Café.

Recently moved to Wichita from KC and have been going to this Bella Luna about once a week. My husband and I absolutely love the food and enjoy the $ 4 martinis during happy hour. The staff are great and the prices are reasonable.

Bella Luna is one of my favorite places to eat in Wichita. Sure it’s crowded and busy sometimes, but worth it. We’ve always had great service regardless, even on Thursday nights when I’m there with 8 girlfriends for the awesome martini special. My favorite is the chicken curry, it’s perfect, zippy but not too spicy(I am not a fan of really spicy food) just full of flavor. I miss the college hill location but I’ll still drive out to Rock Road, it’s worth it.

Love the food but service is always hit or miss. This past Saturday was a major miss when i wanted pasta, i was alone and the seating person sat me at a table right next to a couple who was obviously there on a date. Now im sitting on the adjoining booth. I asked to move and she said, i cant because of wait staff and walked away, as did i to another restaurant. Service needs improvement.

Sunday lunch for my husband and I before I skip off to work. We are always pleased with the quick service and great food. It makes for a nice light lunch. My favorite is the pasta carbonara and Greek salad. Hits the spot.

I’ve been working in the food service industry for 28 years. I think I know a little about good service and good food. The majority of career I’ve worked in Washington, DC. When I tell you Bella Luna Café is first class please take my word for it. The food is excellent. The service is Disney like. Speaking of consistency, Bella Luna Café is the place to go. All the dishes are authentic. You will feel like you are only missing the belly dancers. I urge you to give Bella Luna Café a try. Perfect place to make a lasting impression on a new or familiar date. James

My favorite restaurant in town. I love the environment and their service. Their food has the same quality every time. Had the Gyro sandwich today and it is delicious :)

I was visiting from out of town. A friend suggested that we meet here for lunch. I was a little early so I decided to sit at the bar and wait until my friend arrived. I walked over from my hotel so my reason for sitting at the bar was so that I could get something cold to drink bc it was very hot outside that day. The bartender literally watched me sit down and left. I continued to sit there hoping someone would offer me something to drink. After 10 minutes, he came back and continued to just ignore me. Finally, I got his attention and asked for a glass of iced tea. I should not have to ask for something to drink when I am the only person sitting at the bar in a restaurant with a bartender directly in front of me. We then sat at the table and our experience with the waitress was completely different. She would not leave us alone. It got very annoying. Towards the end of the meal, I felt like she was trying to rush us out of there. As for the food, Meh! I could go to 5 other restaurants and get the same thing. Nothing special. It wasn’t bad, but I was not at all impressed.

I heart the tomato soup here; I will get it every time. Even the bread it came with was fresh and soft. The soup was a side for my chicken schwarma, which judging from the photos, is very popular. I dislike breast meat, and this was no different. My husband thought it was good though. I’d like to try their mushroom soup next. I’ve had the hummus, but it didn’t really leave an impression on me.

Bella luna is really great take on Mediterranean food with so many options! I’ve been here quite a few times and I always get exceptional service! The last time I ate here was about two weeks ago for a work lunch. We had a group of 7. Our server was extremely kind and respectful. We ordered hummus for the table which was delicious as usual and I ordered a falafel wrap with pasta salad on the side. good lord, it was so yummy! and a really big portion. Overall, It’s a really good place to eat. Pricey Albeit but so worth it.

(Thought I write a review while I wait for my food.) Eaten here a few times now. Love how they have a weekly special menu item and most of the time it’s tasty. I would not recommend getting the pork chops when they are the speciality item. Friendly staff and hospitable manager. Can’t say I ever had a negative experience at the location of Rock Rd or the Central location. Food is reasonably priced, so you won’t break the bank unless your treating a table of four of your closest friends. My favorite dishes would have to be the Seafood Trio, Rueben on Rye, Bella Maggi House and the Gyro(pronounced«Hero»)

Bella Luna, I like you, but today I like you a lot less. Why would you roll my burger patty in salt before you cooked it?! I ate salt for lunch today. I already have hypertension, but since I ordered to go I couldn’t bring it back. I literally chewed on salt crystals. Needless to say, I don’t like to waste money so I ate mine and my partners. Usually I am happy with this place, but today I am sad. My doctor is not gonna be happy that I took in a years worth of salt in one day… And yes I am a bit salty.

As you read through Bella Luna’s reviews you may notice a theme: rave reviews from out-of-towners who come here whenever they’re in Wichita, as well as Air Capital ex-pats who make it a point to visit every time they’re back in town. Count me among the latter. It hits all of the right notes in terms of execution and affordability. I’ve lived in LA, and New York, and these days I call Austin home. I’ve brunched in Manhattan and I’ve snacked on sushi prepared by James Beard award-winners. Still, Bella Luna is the restaurant I often find myself pining for. In all of my travels I’ve never found a place quite like it. I wouldn’t even call Bella Luna«Mediterranean» food, at least not in the authentic sense. The hummus is just short of sublime — I don’t know what they do to make this stuff so ridiculously creamy, but I’d give my left arm for the recipe. And they give you a HUGE amount of it — enough to make a meal out of. In fact, one-third of this«appetizer» is sufficient to sate an 8 year-old child. I know, because last time I was here I took my 8 year-old niece, who ate nothing but hummus and barely made a dent in that plate. The seafood trio, stuffed flounder, and chicken lasagna are delectable. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night craving that spicy caesar salad. The bloody marys are some of the best I’ve ever had — ANYWHERE, and the abundance of drink specials will make the hardest of hardcore lushes happy. Come. Eat. Return every single time you’re in Wichita.
