5 stars for being the most sastfying mexican spot in uptown. They deserve more business for their fulfilling, well-cooked, good quality food. The employees are on top with their service and are all about making their customers happy. They hook it up with the chips & salsa. I would recommend this joint to anyone who loves MEXICANFOOD.

Champagne Brunch on the weekends is delicious and you can choose from omelettes or fresh cracked eggs to Menudo or posole. The bolillo bread is soft and you can tell that it is fresh. The staff is very amicable and pleasantly attend to customers.

Sooo good. Worth the price for a Sunday brunch Had a Lil bit of everything menudo, pozole, flan, ceviche, chilaquiles, chile relleno, cheese enchilada, sausage, and if you want an omelet and more We didn’t wait long to be seated. Service was good/prompt.

Carne Asada Plate was delicious. Salsa and chips were tasty and the rice pudding for dessert was a great way to complete a dinner. I recommend this local eatery.

1 star for not being opened on Mondays even after it says that it’s open today. Seriously, update your hours of operations.

Really nice people hospitality A for effort. Really rushing on food. During brunch buffet, omelettes and chorizo w/egg are not good at all. The man poured a whole allot of oil into a 8inch(ish) pan then deep fried the omelette. poor food A for effort :)

I don’t understand how this place is getting so many good reviews but this place has seriously gone down hill since the previous owner left. The food is inconsistent and it really not that great tasting. There are definitely better Mexican restaurants in Whittier. I recognized one of their ex-waitresses at another restaurant and she agreed with me that this place is the pits!

Spot is in a nice place in uptown Whittier. The food is good and the service is amazing! The owner is super cool and nice. They have champagne brunch and buffets on the weekends Pozole and Menudo for la cruda! Their caldo de res is good! Good for big groups after church spot! Bring your Tia, Abuelita and even your cuñado! There are TV so you can watch the Sunday games while eating con las familia!

Had brunch today on Sunday. …good food, but a little pricey. .$ 36.50 for 2 buffets &2 jamaicas… shouldn’t the drink be included? ??I guess not, because they charge $ 2.75 for each.

This place has not failed to continually feed my cravings! And they offer brunch all you can eat. My 5 is because when I eat here the staff is very kind, the enchiladas remind me of grandma and the Chile Verde is delicious.

I would have to say this is a so so Mexican food place. I cannot quite put my finger on it but seems it is missing a little something. I like to come to their Sunday champagne brunch because it hits the spot and now, no limit champagne for $ 16.How can you beat that? ;) There is a variety on the brunch from made to order omelets, fruit, typical breakfast foods, tacos, pozole, menudo, ceviche, beans, rice, flan. I came in today for ceviche and not too impressed, it was tasteless and warm, actually disgusted me so had to keave but manager was very nice and let me know it was just made and he apologized Beans and rice were a little bland. The chips and salsa they give is not good. Service is good though.

No wait on a very busy Sunday at 2pm… red flag!!! Came here on Dia De Los Muertos Festival and not a single person was waiting to be seated. Even at that rate I had to wait about 20 minutes to get seated. Should have left but the other place across the street had a 2 hour wait. Need to use the bathroom? Ha! Don’t make me laugh! Yeah… you are better off squatting outside your car! They were out of toilet paper in the women’s and men’s restroom!!! The lady in front of me gave her daughter napkin… want to know what is more ridiculous than this??? Brace yourselves because I am about to tell you!!! I went to the front by the cash register and I informed the lady working it that the bathrooms were out of toilet paper… she pretended to look for some under the counter… and I actually was dumb enough to believe she was really looking for toilet paper… so I left to go stand in line again… waited 4 minutes that lady never came back!!! So I went back to the front where she was doing some other stuff and I was very angry at this time!!! Try holding it in for 30 minutes on your period! Yeah!!! Quickly realizing I was not going to go anywhere this time… she walked to another room on the other side of the restaurant in the back and handed me a gigantic roll… ugh…yeah it was at this moment I realized she was pretending to look for toilet paper the whole time!!! Really??? you are gonna keep a line of people waiting for toilet paper??? Service was very bad. Took forever to take our order. Took even longer to get our food. And well drink refills never came… in fact no one ever came to check on us. I was very tempted for the first time in my life to dine and dash! Yup cuz no one would have noticed!!! But my friends and I did not dine and dash… we paid our bill. I left no tip… but my friend felt bad not leaving a tip so left an overworked teenage busboy a tip… and from his reaction he knew he didn’t deserve it. Be back? Ha! Don’t make me laugh!

Sunday champaign brunch with good friends is pretty much as good as it gets in my opinion. Uptown Mexican café is the perfect spot. Let me start of by saying it is a little hard to see from the street. It’s on the greenleaf strip right next to the movie theater. Keep your eyes open or you might miss it. I have been here a few times and I am happy to say that I have never waited. Now for the good stuff, the food! It is 12.95 for Sunday brunch which includes champaign and orange juice. Which was flowin at our table. The food is really good and very tasty. They have a huge variety of choices including beans, rice, enchiladas, chilequilles, potatoes, chicken fajitas, steak fajitas, tamales, pozole(the bomb), menudo, omelette bar and so much more. I especially like the pozole. It is very clean if you know what that means. The service is fast and friendly and the comp chips and salsa are good too. I have only come for brunch so I will have to try lunch or dinner but I imagine it is just as good. Really nothing bad to say at all. Maybe their margaritas will knock it out of the park and make me update to 5 big ones. I definitely recommend you stop by.
