Used to be my favorite little spot with the BEST iced tea. I drove by today and it was closed with a big«For Lease» sign and on the window, in paint, it read, «Rest in Peace, Darla. We will miss you.» :(

Heard that the owner Darla recently passed away, gone too soon. We haven’t been here since we moved to the Inland Empire but we’ll always remember her radiant smile and the way she took care of us. Darla you will be missed by many, we all love you.

Good place for a family breakfast before/after church, service was quick and the staff was very nice. I had the bacon, eggs, and potatoes which was solid, my son really enjoyed his strawberry pancakes, and my wife said her kitchen sink omelette was very good. They also make a great homemade salsa that goes well with the potatoes. They also have a pet friendly outdoor patio. We’ll be back soon

Great place to have brunch and not too expensive either!(Brunch is basically always expensive so don’t expect a good brunch to be dirt cheap, haha.) This place has a nice outdoor seating area that is great when the weather is not blistering hot or really cold. On a nice, moderately warm day, it is great to sit outside and chat and they have umbrella’s that provide some pretty nice shade. My friend and I both ordered their special coffee which came in the oh-so-famous mason jars. It was a delicious, but be warned – if you don’t like sweetened or flavored coffee with creamer, do not order it! It is pre-made and I know some people like their coffee black so…(I like my coffee black too, but am not opposed to a little sugar ;)) It is a huge mason jar, so be warned… It’s a lot of caffeine and I was bouncing off of the walls. I got the kitchen sink omelette and my friend got the fitness omelette – both were delicious and well made. Their potatoes were a little salty but well flavored as well and it comes with avocado! Comes with your choice of bread and jam too, so that’s always cool. The one thing I liked about this place is that you can stay talking for hours. They won’t bug you and will only stop by to offer you a refill on your water and if you want your check. The last breakfast café I went to(Caramelo Café in La Puente) has a horrible tendency to rush their customers out and basically kick them out«nicely»(as they claim) after an hour of eating and dining. The service here is awesome and they do a great job. Love it and will be coming back next time I decide to indulge in brunch!

I came here for a Sunday brunch so it wasn’t too crowded. It’s a friendly mom and pop restaurant. I ordered their special ice coffee served in a mason jar and let me tell you, it was the size of a venti. I had their delicious Denver omelette egg white style with their homemade blueberry muffin and fruits. My friend enjoyed their eggs benedict with potatoes. They have a lovely designed outdoor patio, but unfortunately, it was too humid to enjoy the weather outside. Their service on point. Our server Linda was so sweet and a joy to be around. I would definitely come back for seconds!

Came here looking for a nice breakfast/brunch on a lazy Sunday. My boyfriend was looking for a breakfast sandwich & I was looking for a good burrito. We both ended up getting what we wanted :) The staff was very friendly & the iced coffee served in the mason jar was pretty good. Will definitely be returning again soon!

I love this place! The food is to die for, and the woman who owns it is the sweetest lady ever. The breakfast burrito… My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Every visit I tell myself to order something new, but I keep resorting to the breakfast burrito and black beans because I can’t imagine anything being able to top it! The blueberry tea and the iced coffee are great. Its also a plus you can brings your pups here! Service is always great from the female owner. My only complaint that the owner must not know about, the younger guy who works here every once in a while, with the glasses and facial hair,(who has to be related to the owner or else idk how he got hired) always closes the restaurant hours before they are supposed to close and totally rushes you out the door! I have seen this happen multiple times. Upon sitting down, he stops by every 30 seconds and says, «are you ready?» He either is being forced to work there or just doesn’t care. Twice he has rushed us out over an hour before they closed and then locked the door and left. Ive shown up on mornings(and I have to drive a bit out of the way) when they were supposed to be open, to find it was mysteriously closed, most likely because he closed the shop early. I am saying this because this being a ma and pop place, this guy cannot be good for their business. He deters me from coming and eating here because I don’t want to drive all the way over here to see they aren’t open when they are supposed to be.

Surprisingly DELICIOUS!!! I ordered the plain ol Sausage and Eggs, the sausage was great The over easy eggs were cooked perfectly! The house potatoes were the best I’ve ever had! Cooked thoroughly and crispy. The biscuits and gravy were great! Good quick serivce, no wait on a Saturday! My husband got the Sink Something Omlette and he said it was really good. We will be back!

This place is not really Simply Delicious, more like simply edible. The eggs Benedict were okay, but was swimming in Hollandaise sauce and the egg wasn’t fully poached. The pancakes were thin and doughy with no flavor. The butter was ice cold so it was hard to spread on the pancakes. I could have made a better breakfast at home. The only thing we did like was the dog-friendly patio and menu(although my spoiled dog didn’t eat her food). Server was polite, but not friendly and there were only a couple other patrons in the restaurant. We won’t be returning, unfortunately.

I was really wanting to like this place since its close to my house but unfortunately I don’t think I will be back. The interior of the restaurant and seating set up is awkward. The staff were dressed in random sloppy clothes… what’s the saying«dress for the job you want»…they didn’t appear to take their job serious because they looked like they just rolled out of bed! The food was meh! That’s the only thing I can think of… it was tasteless and bland! The coffee was horrible! The eggs and potatoes were bland and boring. The multi grain pancakes were so dry they actually crumbled… I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pancake crumble! And to top it off it was way too expensive! We ordered multi grain pancake combo and French toast combo with two regular coffees and our bill was $ 36!!! So two stars for cleanliness and how quickly our food came but that’s it!

So apparently this place is open 8am — 3pm(the sign on their window even says so). I get there at 10am on a Tuesday(literally just 20min ago) and it’s closed. No joke, as soon as I get back into my car a truck pulls up right next to me and a groggy looking man who apparently just woke up steps out. I figure this is just another disappointed potential customer. But nope! The man unlocks the café door and walks in. I figure«ehh I’m already here, might as well grab food». I walk to the door, but apparently the man locked the door behind him. Based on their unprofessional-ism I would not waste my time to come back and try their food.

This place has a «Doggie Menu» that is dangerous to dogs. Although I like that this place is pet friendly, they should re-think their menu options because they are essentially poisoning these dogs that are getting fed this«dog food». First, dogs should not be fed human food. Second, if pet owners insist on feeding their pets human food, they should at least avoid foods that are harmful to dogs. Dogs are not allowed to have any sort of dairy(these menu items have the option to add cheese. this was a foolish decision). Dogs don’t have the enzymes to break down lactose. Dogs are also not allowed to have any onion, garlic consumption(not sure what they grill the meats with). This may lead to your pet needing a blood transfusion because the onion damages their red blood cells. These are just a few of the MANY foods that are harmful to dogs. This is why dogs should always be fed dog food and nothing more. If you have any pets please research before making the foolish decision of ordering them something off this«Doggie Menu» or before feeding them any human food for that matter. This«Doggie Menu» is a good idea BUT I would suggest the menu to be re-done to have something along doggie treats that are safe for dogs. Giving 2 stars because I felt that this was done in a careless manner. Otherwise, everything else is great.

This restaurant is just okay nothing to special to be honest. I had to season my food a lot which is never a good feeling when you’re a foodie. Cleanliness: This place was pretty spotless. Very tiny inside with an inconsistent design scheme. The outside was fairly big and also had a very strange table set up. All in all these things weren’t to troublesome; since they allow dogs on the property I didn’t expect much of a ‘modern’ design. Staff: This restaurant has been around for a fairly long time and in is no way ‘new’ so I have a hard time understanding how a business that has claimed to be around since«0’7» has only 5 people staffed to work on a weekend. When I arrived at the restaurant there were a number of people sitting with no food or drinks even though they had ordered. My whole experience took an hour and a half to complete. Staffing issues are crucial. Food: The iced coffee here is very sweet and delicious here it was a huge success. The pancakes were wonderful nice, thick, and sweet. Sausage patties were surprisingly delicious for their appearance. The eggs were a HUGE miss absolutely no flavor in the omlete and as a side dish. I attempted the Kitchen Sink breakfast, it was alright after I seasoned my entire plate including my potatoes which looked great but tasted sad. I don’t think that this place was too bad just I would strongly suggest that if you want to check it out go when there not busy. Otherwise it’s not worth the hour wait.

I’ve only been here once but I plan on coming back many, many more times. I ordered the breakfast burrito with the pomegranate blueberry iced tea. Both were delicious. The burrito came with salsa, a small bowl of black beans, and was filled with country potatoes, eggs, sausage or bacon, and cheese. It was delicious and filling– and it didn’t make you feel guilty or heavy. Which is a huge bonus for me. Their entire breakfast menu looked delicious to me and I can’t wait to go back and try more selections! My only complaint is that this place closed way too soon!

Quite possibly the most deliciously balanced breakfast burrito is served here!!! Normally I like my breakfast burritos w/hash brown over home fries potatoes… HOWEVER, these potatoes are perfectly prepped to a crisp that it accommodates the fluffy tortilla, eggs and crispy bacon PERFECTLY. The kicker for me is the home made salsa that is served side of table, I required two salsa bowls to gulp down my burrito, that’s how good the salsa was… sweet, flavorful and savory! The Burrito at 6.99 isn’t going to be as cheap as your DOUBLZ(nor as big)… but it’s definitely quality and comes w/a bowl of black beans! YUMMY and HEALTHY. My wife had the Fitness Omelet served w/egg whites and it was delicious, again, not the largest(I always associate omelets and breakfast burritos w/HUGE) but definitely of quality. I will definitely be back to try the chili cheese fries and the iced coffee. Definitely a must try for Whittier :) P. S. Dogs are allowed in the patio!!! :)

Would give this place a 2.5 based on my first and possibly only visit. Came in with my boyfriend on a Sunday morning. There were a few tables occupied and the guy told us to sit anywhere. The guy took our drink orders and gave us menus and a lovely woman took our food orders. I ordered the Fitness Omelette w/fruit and a blueberry muffin and my boyfriend ordered the eggs benedict. We also ordered their specialty iced coffee after seeing some good things about it here on Unilocal. The blueberry muffin came first. It was good. not too dry and pretty yummy. Our iced coffee came out and I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t in a mason jar like the pictures depict. I liked the first couple of sips. it had a nice spice flavor, but after that it got way too sweet for me!.. wishful thinking maybe? I saw my boyfriend’s dish and it was drenched in hollandaise sauce. The eggs were also over-cooked as it did not have a golden runny yolk. the yolks were solid. As for my dish, I did not feel like I was eating a «fitness» omelette due to the oil on my plate and globs of cheese. So, the positives from this visit were the blueberry muffin and very nice woman who served us.
