I recently held a Superbowl party at my home and needed to stock up on some beverages… more specifically beer and alcohol. I rarely take time to leave reviews, but my experience with the staff at main market has brought me here… My party planning stress was brought down to nothing when one of the guys working there helped me select all the beverages from beer to hard alcohol… SOMANYCHOICES! I was ready to accept that it was going to be an expensive party BUT my total was half of what i expected. I would HIGHLY recommend buying your drinks from the Main Market ESPECIALLY when you are entertaining so many people, you will save a ton of money and really get your moneys worth as far as selection goes… and the cherry on top was the friendly faces there.

Main Market is a few blocks from me and is a great little neighborhood market to get little things you may have forgotten at the market. I tend to go for the occasional produce item or spice. They have an entire meat section that I have yet to try. Prices are extremely reasonable(I just bought 2 jalapenos for 20 cents) and the staff is nice. Since it’s within walking distance, I will definitely continue to go there.

Main Market is reminds me of the neighborhood stores I have seen in places like Mexico and Thailand. I go there mainly because it is the closest place to my apartment to buy beer. That being said, the guys who work there are friendly and polite. The prices are better than a chain convenience store and they have more real groceries items(produce, spices, canned goods). They sell meat there, but i have not tried it and can not review it. The produce selection is a little limited and it seems like they only get shipments about once a week. That seems to be pretty typical for this type of store. It can still be a good place to grab a bunch of cilantro or an onion for dinner. I’m sure I will keep going back. I like the idea of being able to walk to a store and buy food.
