I have definitely eaten at my fair share of teriyaki joints. This one is my favorite. Generous portions & really good food. I’ve eaten here twice & tonight will be my third. It’s better than flame broiler & Waba grill for 2 reasons. Portions are bigger & the quality of the meat is better. I am very picky about meat. (especially beef) I generally order chicken when eating out because I can’t stand when beef has fat & gristle on it. This place has great quality beef & chicken. (haven’t tried the fish yet)
I love that I just call ahead to place my order & swing by to pick it up on my way home from work. I’m getting spoiled. :)
Great little place to get your Japanese food cravings satisfied. Next on my to try list is the steak burrito. Whaaaat? Burrito at a teriyaki place? Yep!

Great food with generous portions. There are two tables outside and inside seats a dozen or so. It’s not elegant but it’s clean and the service is great. The washroom is not public is its only downside.
The Teriyaki Bento is my favorite. The chicken is grilled unlike teriyaki I’ve had at other places.

Decent japanese fast food. Ordered beef teriyaki bento box and chicken veggie bowl with brown rice.
The bowls are most similar to Flame Broiler but with more veggies. The chicken teriyaki was flame broiled and had a light teriyaki topping. The quality of the chicken was good, slightly dry though.
The bento box was large! It came with a generous portion of teriyaki beef over a bed of rice, 2 potstickers, 2 shrimp tempura, 4 california roll sushi, a green salad, and a miso soup. The miso soup was bland. The teriyaki beef was ok-​the meat was thinly sliced and tender. It was a bit too charred for me. The tempura and potstickers were ok-​both fried. The salad was overchilled, and basically tons of iceberg lettuce, a cherry tomato and a cucumber slice-​would very much prefer mixed greens. The california roll slices were big! They were ok, made up of mostly imitation crab. The box also came with wasabi and ginger for the sushi, and an orange slice.
Overall, I give this place 3 stars. Its small, clean, service was ok, and food was ok.
Tip 1-​if you order the bento box, share it with another person or plan to have it over 2 meals
Tip 2-​tired of or not able to eat white rice? Np. Order brown rice for a small additional fee
Tip 3-​love avocado? Add ½ of a thinly sliced avocado for an extra $ 1.50

For $ 12 generous portions and great flavors. It’s like a party in your mouth. Everything tastes fantastic. We are definitely coming here again and looking forward to next time.

ANB is more for people who like a little less sushi and a little more cooked-​foods. It’s a small place, can seat roughly 10 people, and the cleanliness is decent.
The food itself was good. Nothing tho write home to, but if you’re really hungry, they hook you up with a lot of food. Both chicken and meat could be seasoned a bit more, but that’s just my personal preference.
Presentation is awesome. Made the food taste a bit better than it actually was. Overall a nice place to grab a lot of food for a little bit of cash.

One of the best terriyaki plates ever. If you like huge California rolls come here. Tempura, miso soup taste just like the ones at maki yaki.

Best Teriyaki in Whittier hands down. I usually order the chicken bento box and it’s so much food. It’s enough to feed two people. The miso soup has enough tofu and not too salty, it’s perfect. The salad with the ginger dressing is really good. It’s a great value for the price too. They also have Arizona drinks. There is a ton of parking available and all the workers (and owners!) are super nice. I would definitely recommend this place.

i guess i went on a bad day. i mean i came in 30 mins before they were closing. i ordered tempura shrimp and chicken teriyaki. sadly i didn’t get to try my chicken teriyaki. my tempura shrimp must have been bad or not cooked properly because i threw up 15 mins later after eating it. i went to the doctors the next day and he said i was food poisoned. i will never come back here again. they were probably in a hurry to make my food and get me out the door because they wanted to go home. but i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. and what sucks is that their tempura was super crispy. and i love it when it’s crispy :(

great affordable food! service is great. Just needs more advertising :), I was stuck going to subway, because i had not seen this great place hidden on the corner, maybe a sign on the street, besides the big sign on top! but ANB Japanese grill has great food.

Thought i’d try out this place since I was in the area and I am so glad I did. I’m usually pretty picky when it comes to teriyaki, but this place is AMAZING! I had the chicken & beef bento box, it was a good choice. The bento comes with a bit of everything like california rolls, shrimp tempura, fried dumplings, and a salad. The meat was cooked very well, teriyaki sauce was not too salty like other places which was perfect, the California rolls were very fresh, and the salad came with delicious homemade dressing. I will definitely be going back!

The food is good. It’s not too pricey. The place is very small but they have some outdoor patio space. I usually just get it to-​go.

This hole in the wall is delicious! I recommend calling your order in advance because the wait is lengthy unless you have time to spare. The most economical plate is the one they have displayed in the order area and its a great value for what you get. (Teryiaki chicken, soup, tempura, California rolls and salad for $ 10.49)
The bad part is that there’s no air conditioning and it gets crowded during lunch time, but totally recommend this spot otherwise!

Clean eating at its best! My boyfriend and I were debating on what to eat after the gym and came across this hidden gem on Unilocal.We couldn’t decide on which protein so I got the salmon bento special and he got the steak & chicken combo. The portions are huge! You can easily split this into two meals. It comes with two fat pieces of shrimp tempura, two pieces of gyoza (fried dumpling), 4 pieces of California roll, salad with ginger dressing, and miso soup. They also have brown rice which is a huge plus for me. The salmon comes with this garlic herb sauce which is to die for. I must say the quality of their food is what gave them 5 stars. It also helps that their staff is very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place because you won’t be disappointed. I’ll be coming back for more!

ANB Japanese Grill is the best teriyaki joint in my opinion! Other restaurants such as Flame Broiler or Waba Grill only offer basic sides such as steamed vegetables and salad (BORING!). When ordering from ANB their combo plates come with tempura, gyoza (fried dumplings), 4 pieces of California roll, side salad with a light ginger dressing AND miso soup! It definitely makes a great portion for my hungry stomach.
This place is great for those looking for a post-​workout gym meal. If you’re not a fan of white rice, it can be substituted for brown rice. Without a doubt, order your plate with the sliced avocado! For the great price, the portion and taste never fail me. They staff is super friendly as well. I’ll be back here soon!

This restaurant is hidden and wouldn’t look like much from the outside and I live around the neighborhood for 6 yrs and I finally went for the first time… omg let me tell you, I was missing out… bomb food and they even have brown rice!

When you arrive you’ll question your decision as the business is located in a small strip mall next to a shoe store. However, the food for the price and quality simply cannot be beat!
The bowls are all very hearty and well priced.
I’ve been back several times now and everything is always fantastic.
