Absolutely perfect! My family and I love this place. We bring all our family and friends when they come visit.
We love to purchase alot of bread and freeze what we aren’t using right away. They really know what they are doing. They have the best bread we have ever had.
My husband and my children and I brought my sister in law and my nephew there Saturday. It was their busiest day ever. We ate sandwiches and soup. I loved my sandwich so much that I went and got a second.
They make sandwiches as you order how you want it. They have a large selection of breads, meats, cheeses, condiments, and other toppings.
We have always had a wonderful experience.
Definitely a must to eat here and purchase many groceries to take home. I especially enjoy the cookies.

My family and I just ate here in the new building Saturday for lunch. I’ve eaten here and bought groceries many times over the years. The new building is amazing. This was absolutely their busiest day ever with the new building and the festivals going on, but they still managed to feed everybody and sell the groceries to. What a crowd that day! They have enlarged the seating and dining room and there were enough tables to accommodate the crowd.
The bread and butter is number one to me here. I also love the cheese and candies. There are canned soup and dry soup. Everything is so much above commercial quality it is not even comparable. The bread will mold in a week as it is supposed to, but will last in the freezer. Makes you wonder what they put into commercial bread to make it last so long. Organic meats, pickled food, and high quality chips and sodas. Or try the house made cookies and cinnamon rolls. Fried pies yum. I especially like the ham and bean soup. Jams, jellies, crackers, and my favorite, peanut brittle!
They serve mostly soup and sandwiches for lunch. The meat and cheese are great quality, but the bread is what really brings me in. I always get a cup of that amazing ice cream at the old store and was disappointed Saturday to find that there was no ice cream. Hopefully that is just part of getting moved in and set up and the ice cream will be there soon.
There are buildings for sale and all kinds of other stuff. They have a new playground for the kids and even a miniature farm. They are Christian based. Amish I think. Real good people.
Backermanns you are doing a wonderful service for your community and have become famous for miles around. Keep up the good work, you are doing it right.

Outstanding place for lunch with cold cuts homemade baked bread and good old fashion sides. My wife had the Ruben and said its the best she has ever had. I had a roast beef sandwich, incredible.
If your driving by make a stop, well worth a visit and it’s a little grocery store with lots of homemade jams and pickled foods.

This is a great place to eat lunch!!! I suggest the Ruben on homemade Black Forest Rye Bread!!! A big stack of homemade Bread and Butter pickles on the side! Freshly brewed sweet tea and fresh Strawberry Pie with Ice Cream!!! Yum! Before you leave take home Fresh Sour Dough Bread and a Steak from Yoder farms herd of grass feed beef for dinner!
