Best idea is to check out the gym for a few free days yourself, then make your own decision. I see this as good«cardio» gym, it has a little bit of everything but a ton of cardio equipment and a ton of space(although the female only space seems to be not fully utilized). The place is clean and the crowd fairly normal, biggest issues are lack of water fountains(I really don’t want to buy a bottle of water everytime I’m there) and lack of recycling(that’s just embarrassing). The staff is friendly and helpful and they have free tanning all for under $ 20/mo, really can’t beat this chain in the Lehigh Valley.

I really like the gym. Other than some cosmetic issues and the occasional equipment breakdown, the gym fits all of my needs. A VERY big perk to going to the gym is that they have an EXCELLENT kids zone with very nice staff. I am a mother of 2 young children. The gym allows 2 hours a day for childcare while I work out. My kids end up begging to go to the gym. I have a great trainer in the morning and can get a 2nd workout on heavier days at night and am able to bring my kids at both times. I would love for the gym to get better weights, kettle balls, and medicine balls in the future.

I’ve been going to Gold’s for several years now. I’d started going to the Allentown location but moved to the Whitehall location due to a change of residence. I like the Whitehall location much better, even more than the new Allentown location. I’ve recently started going to the Les Mills Combat and Pump classes and found them to be extremely beneficial. As with anything, you get out what you put into it. I also go to spin classes during the cold months that I don’t go out on my bike. My complaint about the classes is that maybe they should add some additional classes later in the evenings to thin out the herd a little bit. The spin classes and the Pump classes get to be quite full and there gets to be a shortage of equipment. I’ve found the general staff to be friendly and helpful. The instructors do a great job. The treadmills are usually in ready condition with a few occasional exceptions. Same with the weight machines. The locker rooms are sometimes a bit smelly and lockers themselves are sometimes broken. If I could wish for something, it would be to tear out some of the useless stores inside the mall and add an Olympic size pool. In summation, I would say that I do like the premises. For as many people as go to the gym, no one seems to bother me and the few interactions with others(I’m quiet and tend to keep to myself) have been friendly and courteous.

I only go for the Les Mills classes, and they are awesome! I love them all! If you are looking for classes that will get you into shape, then the Les Mills classes at Golds are it! It may seem difficult/strange at first, but just stick with it as it does get easier. I’ve seen a lot of people take one class & never return. It’s such a shame they give up so easy. All the instructors are wonderful & will motivate you to achieve success!

So the big reveal of the new club we were all waiting for was a big fat disappointment. There are hardly any classes scheduled, the place is hot and humid, the lighting is bad, the sound system sounds terrible, and there is an overall creepy vibe about the place. Definitely NOT worth the wait. I finally cancelled my «VIP» membership.

This place gets a 5 b/c of the spin room itself. Compared to Gold’s Gym Bethlehem, this room is an icebox. The Les Mills classes are amazing(offered at both locations). You must try CXWorx. Genna is the best instructor ever!!! RPM(Cycling) is always pretty packed, there’s no signing in like they do in the Bethlehem location. All of the bikes are in commission as opposed to Bethlehem’s 7 working bike out of 25 stationed in the sweat box in the back corner of the gym. I’m exhaggerating, but hoping you get the point. It’s an all around great gym. Support is there when you need it. Although I do agree with some previous comments, complaints do seem to fall on deaf ears. You know what, I changed it to a 4… It’s still a great gym.

New location is a big disappointment. Poor air conditioning. Humid. Locker rooms are already disgusting and dirty. Layout is a bit bizarre
