Blinds To Go

Great quality for the price. Love that u can get all the controls on the right, due to the position of the window.

I wanted this to be better, and our experience started off well. Once in the store, the associate who worked with us was friendly, and patient. It also seemed like she was looking for ways for us to maximize value.
We’ve newly moved into the area, and our sellers decided they could use blinds from 14 windows of our house to be used in their new home. Not cool. So, the young lady at the counter took our basic measurements to get a general quote, and helped us pick out the different valances, pull strings, etc. We got the quote, she reassured us of their price guarantee, and we decided to go with them. The blinds looked nice.
It started to go south when she suggested that installation would be easy, and that we really wouldn’t need the services of the independent contractor that they recommend for those seeking help with installations.
Next we returned home to refine our measurements to within a ¹⁄₁₆^th of an inch to ensure good fit. Dutifully fulfilled the task and called in with refinements. That took forever. Tedious, but an understandable step. The contractor could have done that, for a fee — can’t remember what it was, but even at $ 60, it was probably worth it.
The blinds arrived quickly. However, there were three that would not fit in either sedan. Also, when opening the first box, it had the wrong hanging hardware — a topic that we covered amply with both associates. After fighting for too long, I realized that these were not going to be as easy as I hoped. When my wife picked up the first batch of blinds that would fit in the car, the first associate greeted her, thanked her, and gave her a coupon for the next order [split the order next time], and indicated that we could use that if we retained the contractor.
Bingo. Contractor could bring the remaining, large blinds. I could save the aggravation. And, we had a coupon to save money.
We call for the contractor. Turns out the coupon doesn’t work after all. Understandable, I guess, as it only applies to blinds ordered and it couldn’t be applied to our first order. However, this is different from what she indicated the day before. Contractor arrives, and does a great job; however, he discovers several more problems with the order, including several blinds that were not working. [I later discover another blind not working.]
Fortunately, the contractor offered to return the broken blinds and pick up replacements and other missing parts, for no extra charge. He was very friendly, and seems to have done a great job. He worked quickly, too. However, I’m concerned about the initial quality of the products, and the accuracy of the order, as well as the poor communication by the store associates.
Not doing that again.

My experience at blinds to go was great! I am a returning customer and would not go anywhere else for my blinds. They are very knowledgable and the items were shipped quickly and to the correct specifications. Pricing cannot be beat.
