I’m a career dental hygienist originally from Florida who happened to be in Whitefish when I broke a tooth. I knew that the tooth could use a crown but might not have to have one if there was no decay under the remainder of the existing filling. I intentionally sought out a smaller practice with conservatives signage. This office is right across from the post office and I just walked in and inquired. Nothing fancy but I wasn’t looking for fancy. I was looking for unpretentious and non-​greedy quality care. Many practitioners now consider pushing the most expensive options on patients as quality care because after all aren’t they helping them prevent any possible surprises? But I don’t choose to drive around in an armored tank and not every tooth needs to be crowned that has a large filling. In fact, the filling that lost a piece had been in there for 30 years and the tooth could’ve used a crown at that time. The difference in price of the filling and the crown is several hundreds of dollars. Getting dental work done is never lots of fun but Dr. Atchenson was gentle and it was painless dentistry. He and his staff did a great job at a fair price and I’m greatly appreciative.
