This hotel was horrible !!! It smelled horrid is so run down as if it’s been abandoned inside and outside. The room door only had an old fashioned chain for security I saw a rodent trap in the room. Nice touch. I rebooked to another hotel and was in a cab within 15 min do NOT stay at this hotel. The attached nursing home and Tombstone Hurse Co were also a nice touch as the nursing home was attached to the hotel. The Hurse company was just an added plus for ambiance. Worst hotel I have ever experienced and I travel for business often I don’t even want the give it 1 star

I can’t believe this is SO run down and still open!!. Upon reaching our room we found our door open!!! We cautiously entered but we were tired from a long flight to exchange rooms. We happen to stay here because a friend told us of a hotel nearby. I don’t think she knew how bad it was. It’s so delaptitated!! We didn’t know how outdated it was but we were thankful to rest our tired bodies that we fell asleep. We hoped nothing would crawl on us, but upon laying down, my foot started to itch.. From finding a pest control box on the desk with residue to the lamps cord and lamp flickering. The carpet was soiled as was one bed too. My child didn’t even want to sleep on the bed but instead sat up in a chair to sleep. I’m truly surprised this«hotel» has not been evaluated properly. This would never be allowed on the West Coast. Don’t stay here!!!

Beside the fact that you can’t find it, across the street from the big awning and marquee for the Esplanade Assisted Living Home, is the actual hotel.(Across from the municipal parking garage, where you can park for $ 9 a day on the 7th and 8th level. We wound up here because we were attending a wedding in Scarsdale and were too late for reservations in the Crowne Plaza(around the block) I have no regrets. My room had a full kitchen(bigger fridge than home) microwave, stove, sink, pots & pans. The bathroom was tremendous with a walk in shower that could fit 3 or 4 people. lol. We had the AAA rate and paid $ 125 a night. Well worth it. Nice big king size bed, not enough pillows but they brought some up when we asked. East check in, easy check out — although the desk wasn’t manned, when we telephoned they directed us to the assisted living across the street to check out. Not at all inconvenient — it was on the way to the car. We had a 2nd floor room, windows facing the street and the noise level was bearable. Had to close the curtains because the well lit parking garage made it daylight all night. Not a modern flat-screen wifi hotel experience, there was a 20″: in the cabinet and a plug it in internet wire. I was very comfy there!

This place is steps away from every teenage club in the city. Has clearly not been touched since the 1980s. I asked if they had wireless and the woman looked at me like I was insane. She said I could buy Internet for $ 9.99/day but would have to use their cord. Does my computer even take a cord?! What year is this??? Rooms are ok and include a stove/fridge/pot/dish set. The whole building is very hot, though. No way to cool off without opening the window and letting the drunken cackles of teenagers and club music regale you well into the night. I’m writing this at 1am for a reason. Way way way overpriced. You can stay at the crowne plaza down the street for the same price and they live in this decade.

So this place currently is or used to be a nursing home. Obviously all the tenants died and they decided to rent out their rooms as hotel rooms. Please don’t book here unless you want to feel like you’re dying. Smh.
