They’ve closed!!! Apparently, someone didn’t pay thier rent, and the White Plains Sherriff had to come ’round. And in the process; –The doors are padlocked –There was a property seisure letter posted in the window –All the chocolate was removed! What am I going to do when I need a(legal) fix after work?! *sad-face*

It is so refreshing to find a chocolate store around here that isn’t Godiva, and isn’t in a mall. Everything is made fresh, in-store. They have all sorts of truffles, chocolate-dipped fruit, fudge, etc. Their frozen hot chocolate is to die for. Unfortunately, they don’t have cappuccino, and they only have 1 table and 2 chairs. Otherwise, I think this place would be more popular. Also, it’s not in a great location – most people don’t even know where 50 Main St. is, until you tell them it’s the building with the statue of a man on the steps. ;) This store isn’t exactly in the building, but it’s in a little plaza connected to that building. The building itself is at the corner of Main and S. Lexington. The best place to park is in the Galleria, near Sears. There’s an exit onto the street(or rather, an entrance only for cars, but an exit for pedestrians!) that takes you right out onto S. Lex, between Martine and Main; just walk out of there, turn right, cross the street at the light, and there you are.(You’ll see the store as you’re walking over.) This is a franchise, as opposed to an independent store; but that’s good enough for me. I have yet to try all of the truffles, and may post updates as I try them. ;) So far, my key lime truffle was only OK, my chocolate-dipped peach slice was yummy, and my mom said the fudge was very good. Also, as I mentioned before, the frozen hot chocolate is INCREDIBLE.
