Best Indian food in the area. Amazing quality and service. Thank you to Abdul for always taking care of us, and we will always come back.

Went here with coworkers from work. Tried the Kerala platter which was a recommendation from my co worker. The food was delicious and was offered in a sizable portion. The chicken tikka and the okra were my favorite from the platter. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic South Indian food for a decent price.

I was so glad to find Indian Café! Great selection of South Indian favorites, like idli, sambar vada, and dosa. I have much more to try, but so far everything has been very good. The food is authentic, appropriately spiced, and comes with the traditional accompaniments. The owner is very friendly and they seem to have a faithful clientele. If you love South Indian food, this is the place to go in White Plains.

This place is great. The owner is extremely generous with his time and portions. I usually can’t decide between the tandoori chicken, goat, or chicken tikka, but when you come for lunch you never have to.

I work down the street from India Café and stop in for lunch whenever I need a plate of comfort. I always get the lunch box which is a great deal with naan and a drink for less than $ 10. The portions are very generous and the food is always delicious. There are a couple of other Indian restaurants nearby but India Café has them beat by far. TIP: They have a coupon on the counter right now with a code for $ 10 off $ 15+ order when you use

Quick service, friendly staff, great food. Ordered the chicken tikka masala, channa masala, paneer tikka masala, batura, roti and naan. Place doesn’t look impressive but it is the best Indian food place in white plains and the surrounding area! Very pleasant and they deliver to SUNY Purchase, which is good to know.

Not a place to go for celebrations but definitely a place if you don’t wanna cook at home and want to eat spicy indian food. Ok so 4 stars because we order from here very often. Food is good and reasonably priced. Egg roast is specialty Samosa chaat is yummy Chhole bhatoore is nice We never ate there inside the restaurant. We always pick up food from here. They give 5 or 10% discount on Unilocal check in so that is good.

Excellent food. Ordered Kerala Chicken curry, chicken kabobs, tandoori naan. All of them were delicious and very authentic. Although the order took 10 mins extra but no regrets. I want to go back again.

I had never eaten indian food before I came here earlier this year, at the urging of a co-worker. Man, had I been missing out. Now I try to come here once a week. Sometimes for the lunch special, other times for a meal to take home. The food is absolutely delicious. I try to get something new every week. So far I have not found anything I disliked. The portions are very generous, and if you order a full meal you will have enough food for at least 2 servings.(all of it re-heats very well!) The chicken is juicy and huge chunks of white meat, the rice is full of veggies and you get plenty. And the naan bread. Or even better, the garlic naan! A couple of my favorites are the Chicken 65, Chicken Tikka Malai, the chick peas and cauliflower chilli I’ve tried others while not in the area, but this is hands down my favorite spot for indian food. So so good!

I now feel remiss for not getting here sooner. This is an excellent, excellent value. Came with the spouse, we both had the $ 9.00 lunch special. This is served from a steam table — there were three protein choices — butter chicken, chicken curry or tandoori chicken, presented as large chunks of breast meat. There were at least four vegetable choices, eggplant, channa masala, mushroom and what looked like onion bhajis. I am not sure of the exact protocol, but we each choose two of the chicken dishes and two vegetables. These are plated by the server onto a tiffin tray, with rice. Excellent fresh, hot naan arrived later, along with the samosas and samosa chat we also ordered. The butter chicken was the killer, with a depth of flavor that I have not experienced in the US. The other chicken dishes were very good, as were the savory vegetable dishes. We didn’t have room for the crisp samosas and had to take them home, so we concentrated on the chat, which topped with chick peas and more veggies, was almost meal sized in itself. You don’t really need a starter at lunch, the special will suffice. A dosa, going to another table, looked great if you need a vegetarian option — although the vegetables on the buffet should work well. Will return for lunch in and take out dinner. The décor is nondescript and it feels like a place in Queens. Not a place for a first date, unless said date is a bargain craving foodie.

Don’t let the unassuming name, location, and interior fool you, this place packs some of the tastiest and most authentic(read: not flat flavored and packed with too much cream in every dish) Indian cuisine in the area. In addition to Indian restaurant staples that we’re all used to(come now, I know you’re tired of getting tandoori or tikka masala every other meal), they also specialize in a number of South Indian(especially Kerala) dishes that you don’t always find everywhere. Food preparation time is very reasonable, and it usually takes 20 min for me to get my takeout prepared unless they’re extraordinarily busy. Did I mention that they make a killer Masala Dosa? Anyways, definitely come here, or give them a call, if you’re ever in the white plains area!

The portions are huge! Maybe I didn’t get the memo about the family sized portions for entrees, but I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was a little put off by the $ 12 price but when I opened my(heavy) take out bag I was shocked to see that there were two containers, each the size of the One I was expecting. One filled with basmati rice, the other with heaps of chicken and sauce. This absolutely hit the spot and was exactly what I was hoping for. Based on some of the seasonings you can find in the rice as well as the sauce, this is an authentic restaurant with probably some of the best Indian cuisine that you’ll find in the area. Can’t wait to eat my leftovers, and come back for more soon!

Good indian authentic food. Small place to eat. Not good for 5 – 6 members group. Food taste is good. Delivery takes time. For lunch via online you gets option to select curry. However via Unilocal or at the store you don’t get the choice.

Finally! Indian food that tastes like being back in India without the layers of grease. Went here on a whim and so glad I stopped by. Ordered online and my food was ready within 15 minutes(and projected time was 10 – 35 minutes), so that started me off on the right foot. I spoke with the gentlemen in the front only to find that one of them is from Kerala and when asked, he said that his masala dosa was the real thing. Obviously I had to test that claim, since I’ve missed having it for breakfast for a few months. My mind was in such a happy food place that I almost can’t describe it – that’s how authentic the dosa was. I have found my new Indian place, and absolutely recommend it to anyone!

Finally a good Indian restaurant in Westchester. Went there for the first time for the buffet. I know the owner from other establishments so it was pleasant to be greeted by a familiar face. The food at the buffet was exceptional. I ordered out today. You have to try the chili chicken which was amazing. Chicken tikka masala was amazing. Chicken biriyani was done very well and instead of plain rice I got Saffron rice which I tried at the buffet the first time. It’s a must have! If your looking for great Indian food without over paying for it like other establishments in the area go here!

This has got to be the best kept secret in White Plains. The food(both Chettinad and Malabar cuisine) is exceptional. Perfect balance of tangy and spicy. There are many unique dishes like Nadan fish curry(made with a special tamarind) along with Mussels and Calamari fry.

This is one of the best Indian places I have been too! I enjoy the food very much. Always fresh, warm and mouth explosion of spieces. There is a wide range of options to choose from and a great vegetarian selection. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. The customer service is amazing. If you have no idea what you want or even what to get they help make suggestions. The staff is always warm and welcoming. I am from out of town and when I come to White Plains I make sure I come here everytime.

A friend lives in the area so he brought us to this new restaurant when we were visiting his house. Apparently there is a large Indian community in the area(who knew!) The place looks brand new and the ambience very pleasant: wooden tables and new fixtures. It’s a very small place that I’d suggest for a date. We’ve seen a few people come for take out as well. The food. I rarely eat Indian food but do love my naan and curry and other goods. I’ve ordered a few staples: samosa, chicken tikka masala, rice and naan. The bread is freshly baked — hit the right spot! Nothing is better than dipping freshly baked bread into that heavy sauce. The menu has tons of vegetarian options if you are into that kind of thing(I am not:)) I quite enjoyed my food and the prices are definitely making this place an affordable choice. I had a couple bites of what my friends ordered but can’t recall what exactly it was. My Indian friend gave this spot kudos: natives giving high praise to a restaurant is a definite plus. The only downside I can think of is the size of the place. It’s only a few tables so fills up fast. I rarely get outside the city so not sure if I will even be back here but if you live around definitely check this place out.
