Caribou Coffee

An iconic stop for those of us in White Bear Lake — the original Caribou Coffee for our area. We have enjoyed many hot and cold drinks here over the last 20 years. Always well run, and one is always welcome. This does tend to be a bit crowded, which is to be expected.

I really like this Caribou! I like it so much that I even would consider driving out just to do some work here because its really quiet. I like the fireplace and the staff is super nice. They don’t seem to put on the gorilla sales and marketing tactics as much as other Caribou’s do. I would like to see their sales and see if this method works better for sales of Amy’s Blend or Lamanitta, or whatever their coffee of the month might be.
I am a huge Caribou fan, a daily patron of a Caribou somewhere, and it gets a little old at some of them so THANK YOU WBL Caribou for giving me a little break from all that.

Very friendly staff and fast service. This caribou is fairly large and very comfortable. I really enjoy going there to just relax, drink some coffee, and get some work done on the computer.

I stopped here before a work appointment and I found the food, coffee and staff to be great. The staff was friendly and offered free refills while I was working.

This place is great because I love their coffee. The staff here are really friendly. I have never actually sat down and drank my coffee here because I am usually on the go, but it’s a nice little area and I want to rest my dogs at some point. As some reviewers have stated, it’s one of the smaller stores, but I am not sure that I have been to too many «large» caribou coffee places. Hands down I am a huge fan though.

I love Caribou and wish they had it in CA. The coffee tastes better then Starbucks and the options are so much more original. I got a mint cooler and it was like drinking the best Ande’s mint I ever had. Please come to CA!

I would say this is your average Caribou. Mostly tables and chairs — only two big comfy chairs to sit in. Baristas were friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. There is also a nice little fire place and outdoor seating!

I favor Caribou Coffee over any of the other coffee chains out there since I like to get the lite coffee drinks and they have more variety than other chains. This caribou is a little smaller than others. Also there is no meeting room. So I got my normal Northern Lite Vanilla Latte and my Hubby his regular dark roast. Both were tasty. I was talked into getting a cinnamon chip scone as my Hubby has been getting them downtown when he gets a coffee at work — unbelieveable the little sneaker! So he told me I had to try one. They were pretty good. A little dry but I guess the ones my Hubby has tried were moist or so he told me. The cinnamon in the scone reminded me of the little red hots. I would definately try again. Also this coffee shop is located right next to the cup & cone ice cream shop so it could be a nice little treat. Who doesn’ t like coffee and ice cream! And White Bear Lake lake walk is on the other side of Hwy 61 so you could grab a cup and take a walk.
