They don’t even deserve 1 star. I recently moved to Morristown from Boston and obviously needed to have cable installed. My boyfriend and I moved into a complex that offers Cablevision as the only service you can use. We moved down on a Saturday and scheduled to have the appointment as the last appointment of the day, they said that would be totally fine. We get a phone call at 2:00pm saying that they are there — we obviously were not there. The technician told us to call the office and they will send someone once we get there just to give them a call and it should be no problem at all. We get there around 3 and call right away — they inform us that they will put in a call to the dispatchers to get someone to come and that we will 100% receive a phone call in 15 mins to let us know that they are on their way. An hour goes by, no phone call, no cable guy. We call again, they give us the same speech as before. Long story short, 4 hours go by and no cable guy, no phone call… nada. I eventually call at 9:45 to get something scheduled for the next day(they are open 24 hrs a day) and the customer service guy on the phone said that they wouldn’t be able to schedule us for a Sunday installation — i was beyond annoyed at this point and asked to speak to a manager. After debating with the guy on the phone for a while he said that he would be able to put us on the«all day appointment list» which means we would have to be home from 8am to 10pm, i said fine because we would take whatever we could get. I was promised 100% that we would be on that list and i would get a phone call. Guess what — i call the next day just to check to see if we are on the list, we weren’t. We call 3 more times and everyone promises that they will give you this«so called service» and you get NOTHING. I finally was able to get an appointment three days later for installation. For those looking for Cablevision service in the future — if you have trouble and can’t get service like we did, call an account manager and stay away from the customer service lines. they are trained well to promise you the world and make you feel better on the phone, but they never follow through. Once i spoke with an account manger i actually got some sort of service. stay away!
