I’ve been here a few times since it’s really convenient for me in terms of location. Honestly, it’s not half bad but not the best chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. I’ll also add that Chinese food isn’t my go to meal and I have it at most 3 times a year so I’m by no means an expert but it’s for those random must have days or for Christmas takeout in which they are open. I remember coming here for Christmas day and they were pretty busy since all the Jews in the area order Chinese takeout. It’s definitely a family run business which is nice to support. I came in and placed my order and within 15 minutes it was ready. It’s pretty cheap for the area so that’s a plus and the people working here are also friendly so they get a star just for that. Now onto the food, I got a bunch of stuff from fried rice to Mongolian beef to sesame chicken and all was how you say eh, kind of forgetful. Nothing I’m craving but nothing I would hate to have again next Christmas. The best part of the meal was their crab ragoons, they were amazing, I am still thinking about them in April that’s how good they are. They are a must get if you order in from here or you can just come out to get them because they are so good. The egg rolls also weren’t bad but definitely number 1 thing is the crab ragoons. I hope they stay in business because they’re nice and they’ve been around for a while, but I wouldn’t say they have the IT factor when it comes to suburban Chinese food.

Sesame chicken is available in hot or mild! Chicken with broccoli is excellent! Nothing but fresh food served up well. They are super-flexible about how they prepare you food if you have special requests! Affordable lunch and dinner specials are just the tip of the iceberg of the giant menu that holds so many delicious choices! We’re hooked on Wah Feng! I find myself constantly craving their wonton soup. This place is a must try!

Very good takeout Chinese – ordered half a dozen entrees and sides for our family and out of town in-laws and all were good. We were feeding a group ranging in age from 11 – 60 and everyone enjoyed the quality of what they had. Good potstickers, beef and chicken dishes, and noodles. Fast, clean, fresh, and reasonably priced. We have been on the lookout for a new regular Chinese takeout spot and this is it!

Good crab Rangoon and orange chicken. Sesame chicken didn’t taste like what it’s supposed to be. Overall not bad at all!

Looking for a cheap meal? well, Wah Feng is it! about $ 7 for a lunch item and it comes with an eggroll and can of pop. I usually order the Mongolian beef and it’s generally a huge portion for just $ 7 and it comes with fried rice. I’ve also tried some of the noodles here, but it’s definitely not a favorite of mine. Beef Chow Fun was just pretty bland, but it was a huge portion, but for $ 7, it’s a deal that’s hard to beat.

We have been going here for a very long time. The soup is just what the Dr. ordered when someone in my house is sick. It is a family owned business and they are the nicest and most hard working people you will meet. When my daughter comes to visit this is always her first choice for dinner As previously mentioned the chicken chow fun is great.

Great for inexpensive, fast, cooked to order Chinese takeout. Food was not greasy, portions were generous(not skimpy on the beef, etc.) Beats chains such as Panda Inn or other mall food court Chinese food hands down, in price and flavor. Yes, this is not Yu’s in Schaumburg. It is also ¼ of the price, so I don’t get some of the bad reviews. If you have a Stevenson High School Patriot Discount Card — use it here! Update: it saddens me to change from 5 to 3 stars. This is what some reviewers pointed out — this place is not consistent. If we had taken home the greasy, flavorless food we got the second time on our first try, we would not have come back the second time.

Very basic tastes and flavors. Nothing that I have eaten from this location has brought a smile to my face.

Visiting a friend who lived in the area and they suggested this place for the best Asian box lunches in the area, and they were right. I glossed thru the menu and grabbed my traditional chicken with broccoli over rice lunch combo(entrée, egg roll, cookie and drink) for around $ 7. I found that the dishes were not made consistent, ordering the same lunch combo on mixed days, I have encountered that a few occasions the entrée was too salty or just bland. Overall, for the money and in a three mile location of other Asian cuisines, this place hits the spot.

Reasonably priced. Delivery was prompt. On the spectrum of culinary delight, I give this a solid ‘Meh’. I may order again if I need a chicken soup and need a quick delivery. Most likely, I would try other places in the vicinity.

Please read this review: I ordered two lunch specials and as I was walking out of the door, the knot on the plastic bag came loose and I dropped the food… almost all the food touched the ground. I ran back in and asked to order more, but the lady at the cashier insisted on giving me a free replacement. I was so incredibly impressed and grateful! I will certainly come again. Not only is their lunch special such a great deal, their great customer service earned them a loyal customer!

You know, I pratically ditched the idea of Chinese takeouts for almost a year. In college and grad school, I did Chinese takeouts to escape the dreaded repetitious cafeteria food. Now that I am a young working professional, I try to have a higher standard on the food I put into my body. After trying numerous Chinese places in the northwest suburbs, and sadly they all lived up to the bad rep of «Chinese takeout joints», I practically gave up. After work I was driving on my way to Buffalo Grove, in the middle of traffic I saw Wah Feng. I looked this place up on Unilocal to find the menu actually is quite extensive and the options on there were CHEAP. This past Friday I drove out of my way to give this place a try. The food was prepared by a whole family, an old lady who looked like she was at least in her mid 70’s prepared part of my order. The wife took my order and bagged my food, the husband prepared the other part of my meal. On a Friday night there were 5 workers in this takeout joint, that is pretty well staffed! I ordered the small vegetable lo mein, asked if they could add tofu and they did, at no charge! The lo mein was also thinner and curlier than traditional American thick lo mein, not bad. Though at the time I was craving the thick version of lo mein, but for a small veggie low mein at $ 5, the portion was definitely NOTSMALL! The shrimp chow fun I got was AWESOME. let me break it to you like this, for chow fun it is ALL about the noodle. I have tried soo soo many places and every place the thick rice noodle either stuck together like a clunk or tasted chalky or were all broken up. Not this place, they balanced just the right amount of oil and used fresh rice noodle. Not drenched with sauce, just the right amount of moisture. Not to mention shrimp is the same price as chicken or beef. It took about 10 min for my order to be ready. 4 tables inside this place for you to eat at, but I wouldn’t recommend it, not a very nice ambiance, strictly a take out place. The only downer is in the middle of my wait the family started speaking really loudly, it seemed like they were arguing, but obviously they were not because they were all laughing, it’s a cultural thing I am sure, won’t count them against it but maybe it’s better to keep it down in the restaurant. Also the wife kept pressuring me to order more food lol, not so much pressure but everytime I asked her a question she said«you want that too??», or «you want the large?». A solid place, I will be back. Not very greasy either which is honestly HARDTOCOMEBY!

Love Wah Feng. My son had a difficult day, having hurt his left arm wrestling, and we were looking for a good lunch. Gave him idea to have Chinese meal for lunch: so, he wanted to go here. This is a family owned restaurant with very hard working family. If you want a great meal and really great people, come here so you feel at home. They treat you with kindness and a great meal to go with it. And yes, our kids go to the same high school. This place is a 10!

This is our favorite Chinese place. Their food is always fresh and good. The fried foods are never greasy and never have any off flavor from old grease like a lot of other places. The staff is kind and go out of their way to make sure they have your order correct. We love their Orange Chicken and they have the best fried rice!

My favorite Chinese place to eat at! The portions are big and the prices are low. Also, the lunch specials go until 3, and they’re a huge steal. $ 6.60 for any entrée, a drink, and spring roll. I sometimes like to substitute that for crab rangoon, but the spring rolls are super tasty. Two things I definitely suggest: orange chicken and any kind of fried rice. The old granny makes all the fried rice, and it’s to die for. I personally go for the combination fried rice, but my friends like the beef fried rice. I know orange chicken is Chinese-American, but it’s just so good here.(Seriously — once I was on a bus thinking of ordering Chinese and some guy just starts gushing to me about his love for the orange chicken here.) The sauce is nice and not too sticky, and it tastes a little bit sweet, tangy, and has a kick of pepper. Other things I’ve had here and recommend are the mongolian beef, empress shrimp, and shrimp and broccoli. If you want a noodle dish, the lo mein is also good along with the beef chow fun. For appetizers, I can’t get enough of their sweet and savory bbq pork. Communication-wise, the staff are relatively capable with English and they understand you. They’re also more social and will converse with you unlike other Chinese places around here. This means they answered my many questions like is there any MSG(no) and how is the orange chicken(popular! very good!). I like watching the open kitchen because I can see them cutting up fresh ingredients and cooking as soon as I order. Another thing I like is you can really customize your orders(more/less gravy, sauce on the side, extra meat, substitutions, etc). The owners are very kind and will do their best to accomodate you. I like this because I can’t handle spicy foods so they make sure it’s mild, but they also throw in some chili paste on the side so my friends can make it hotter. Other stuff to note is they deliver, they cater, they have Grubhub, and they take credit cards! I’ve never had delivery, but my friend says they’re pretty fast. I’ve had their catering at a birthday party and let me tell you, there is nothing more awesome than a large tray of the orange chicken.

My coworker and I picked up lunch from here a couple months ago. What you’ll need to know: 1. Lunch specials are HUGE(and really inexpensive). They probably give you around a pound or two of rice. You’ll easily have leftovers. 2. Not only are the lunch specials huge, they’re also really good(I had the sesame chicken). 3. Awesome crab rangoon. 4. The rice is definitely on the spicy side. If you ask them to make it even a little spicy, have a water bottle nearby. Overall: If you’re looking for some good food for a good price, it’s worth a try!

I’ve always said there are no good Chinese restaurants in my area; I was just proven wrong. I’m not going to lie, I’m very particular when it comes to my food, and this place knocked it out of the park. The sesame chicken was delicious! One of the best I’ve had! It had the perfect combination of flavor, with a bit of a spice. Mongolian beef was good, and the hot and sour soup was mediocre. They are open Monday-Saturday and delivery very quickly. I have officially found my go-to Chinese restaurant.
