Mid-Century heaven; I could spend all day in this store; Awesome finds and fair prices. New things coming in all the time. Open on Sat and Sun. If you are looking for something in particular call Michael the shop owner. Don’t forget to look at the upstairs.

Excellent vintage shop! Almost everything here is in good vintage condition. Michael has a good eye for things from the 40s-70s, especially items that would easily fit into modern décor. Reasonable pricing and some unusual items.

Nice store but very kitch… Owner was there and very nice and friendly. It just wasn’t our style– mostly 40’s and 50’s items. Everything was in good condition though. One downside was we were told by a sign outside and the owner lots of half price items except the ones marked 2014… most things in the store were marked 2014. Probably won’t be returning.

This is a little gem of a shop tucked away from the busy part of downtown Wheaton. it’s a cool collection of shabby chic furniture, lamps, retro glassware(think Mad Men), mirrors, clocks and lots of great decorative accessories. Every time you turn around your eyes spot another treasure that needs to be examined. The proprietor is very friendly but low key… not breathing down your back but close at hand to answer any question you might have. He knows his stuff!

Proprietor, Michael, has quite a cool thing going here at The Vintage Loft. I drove past this morning and saw the flags out of the corner of my eye. On my way back past, I decided to stop. I’m so glad that I did. Open since June 2012, he has a post WWII collection of practically everything! From furniture to jewelry to vintage clothing to pipe stands to lamps to punch bowls to metal Christmas trees and beyond. I walked in and I was immediately drawn in. Yes, there’s a lot going on. But, it’s displayed in such a way that you can easily see the prices and easily see what it is. Flip the tag over and you’ll find the amount that will be due for tax. I loved it! Michael stays out of your hair and lets you look around which was nice. There is so much to look at and the condition was very nice. Prices were reasonable for most items and there really is a little something for everyone here. Think Mad Men. It’s an interesting shop. I wandered upstairs and realized that the fun had just begun. Again… so much to look at. Retro this and that everywhere I turned. I bought a gift(for a fellow Unilocaler) and I like it so much that I may just keep it for myself. We’ll see. ;-) So after a little conversation, I learned that it’s possible that the building owner is going to work with the business owner to open up the loft area a bit, so they can offer a consignment option. That would be a nice option. I think consignment is a win-win and I’m drawn to shops that do it. Parking is a little weird because they are sharing a lot with Uhaul, but the building is easy to find. So take a drive to Wheaton(Saturdays and Sundays only at the moment) and check out The Vintage Loft. If you can’t find something for yourself, you can always pick up a gift for me! *Cash, check or credit cards accepted.
