Awesome facility. Great treats for rewards. Great instructors. Amazing staff. What else is there to say about this place. So much fun while the little ones learn to swim!

What a wonderful place, the staff is so caring. They help your children feel comfortable and confident in the water. This keep your children safe at the pool, at the beach, or on a boat. The water system they have doesn’t not use all the harsh chemicals that are in typical pools, so little stomachs stay healthy, it doesn’t dry out their skin or damage their hair. It is a wonderful place for children to learn how to swim. Highly recommended this to all families with children.

Started with a good teacher who quit suddenly(we suspect because the owner seemed difficult to work with) and then had a few instructors including the owner. Never started lessons on time and frequently this was because of staff meetings. The owner was sure to tell us often what a great instructor she was but she seemed to preoccupied with looking over the entire operation to show us. Pricey for the service and quality received.

I started taking my daughter here a year ago. The first 6 months went great. Then they started changing her teacher. We had 5 teachers in 4 months constant scheduling issues over booking classes not getting us in until 45 min after our scheduled class. The owner introduced herself to us 7 times even though we came there twice a week. I definitely won’t be going back my daughter hated it by the end and her swimming skills were regressing at that point. Very expensive for what you are getting and you end up losing classes because they are so difficult to schedule with. Very disappointing there is constent new staff as well.

Scheduling as well as communication between the Company and it’s customers needs improvement. Rates increased without notice. The instructors were good with my son and helping him gain confidence in water. However, with close to two years of lessons under the my son’s belt there is a plateau he has hit and there seems to be no plan to improve his capabilities. Have a plan in place to improve the lessons over time. Would use this Company for a few months with set expectations in the future.

We’ve been attending Swim Otters for about 3 months now, our 16 month old little girl has been going for lessons. I was skeptical at first; how 10 minutes twice a week could really make a difference in someone so young… but I’m a believer now. I’m lucky enough to have landed the owner Kathy as my daughter’s instructor and the private, one-on-one lessons have produced incredible results. She is learning to float, roll over and basic survival mechanisms when in water — an invaluable resource if the unthinkable should ever happen… and all this when my daughter can’t even speak. I recommend every parent consider a quality swim lesson environment like this. As to the facility, everything is brand new and sparking clean in their new location. The pool is state of the art(seriously, ask Kathy about it) with UV filter, motion machine and padded floor and walls. There is ample room for parents to enjoy watching, a snack /concession area, TV for cartoons etc. No expense has been spared and it is reflected in the comfort and convenience found there. As to the latency in lessons and occasional missed lessons that others have commented on. It’s not easy opening a new location and adjusting to that location. It happens in restaurants, stores and every other business — I’ve experienced it myself in my own business. You have to learn new features and schedules and even new employees culled from the local area. It’s tough, and certainly the first few months are the toughest. But Kathy and her employees have always attempted to adjust well given the new conditions and they certainly have made every attempt to make up any missed lessons on their part — which has only been once in 3 months. And the lesson is a time slot — ten minutes in a private one-on-one instructor environment. Sometimes the lesson starts late, other times it runs over — not always the fault of the instructor as some children are slow to get out of the pool or the parents are slow to move. Some times the instructor takes a little longer to explain milestones to the parents or what to practice or not practice at home. The point is that they are taking the time with your child and dedicating as much energy as they would to the next child, a fact I can appreciate very much. Understand that the lesson is about 10 minutes. If your schedule is so tight that you can’t adjust ± 15 minutes around the time slot, then I don’t know what to say about your schedule… but the quality of the lesson should outweigh the occasional inconvenience.

Let me start off my saying I am still incredibly impressed by the quality of the lessons we have gotten. The lessons and facility are both five star and we will continue here due to the exceptional quality. However, we have had continual difficulties with lessons starting late or being canceled. I initially attributed these issues to complications with the newly opened location. However, the problems have continued. In our three months of lessons have had no less than three canceled lessons and many more have started late. Sometimes they have been able to allow our lesson to run a bit long to make up for the late start, however, the instructor often has another lesson scheduled immediately after(and other times we have other commitments following the lesson). In the parent handbook it is very clear that families are allowed only one make-up lesson per month. I think businesses should hold themselves to a higher standard than they expect from their customers but this has not bee the case for us. It is frustrating that my time and schedule are not respected like I think they should be, however, I can’t argue with the results and for those we will continue.
