My Crib Consignment

Ok– I feel like I must retract my previous review! I have been shopping at my crib for just under 2 years and have always had a wonderful experience! However I went in a week ago and my experience was beyond horrible! The friendly face I usually see was not working– the lady who was working (i realized was the owner) was extremely rude! I asked for help finding my daughters size she pointed to a wall of clothes and said over there. While I was in the store she was talking to another customer– she was using foul language and from what I overheard she was talking about an employee who was no longer there. I honestly couldn’t believe someone would talk like that in a children’s store. I didn’t stick around and shop– I didn’t want my daughter around that. On top of it all while I was in there a little boy or toddler who kept walking up to my daughter, he pulled her hair and he slapped her. I was wondering where his parents were, but after looking around the store– I realized it was the owners kid! Unbelievable! I thought about just deleting my other review– but decided I needed to post this review instead. Now I understand all the other reviews referencing the owner. I was under the impression the owner was the other lady I always see.

I simply love this consignment store its the best in Denver!

Their merchandise is way to over priced and i might have considered buying something but it was all really dirty. I go to consignment stores and sales all the time not just for baby and kiddos. We went in to find a bike trailer and or a piggy back for hiking we found some but they were so dirty they need to clean their merchandise before trying to sell it for a high price. Not only that but they should try to sell for a 4^th or MAYBE a 3^rd of what the retail price is because amazon is way better. There is no way i would even dare put my baby in any of those trailers or strollers for 80 – 500 dollars and its not even worth it to spend the money then go home and not just wipe it down but scrub the crap out of it. Gross.

I have been shopping/​consigning at My Crib for 4 years. the owner and her co-​captain are great! I have also been going to thrift stores all my life, and yes I don’t expect to be handed on like I’m at Nordstroms. So the reviews of an unfriendly staff lead me to think that the people not happy with customer service expect to be handheld. If you are looking for something in particular that they don’t have they will gladly take your number and call you if an item you need comes in. Can’t get much better than that! I highly recommend this store, it’s the only store I go to!

Great selection of gently used maternity, infant and children’s items. You can find everything from nursery furniture and décor to cloth diapers and maternity jeans. The consignment process is also easy and makes shopping for your children even more affordable. My Crib is my first stop when I need something for my kiddos prior to buying new. Reduce, reuse…

Good selection, but honestly I was in there for 10 minutes (the only customer in the store) and no one said a single word to me. There were two employees working and, while I don’t expect to be waited on at a consignment shop, this seems to defy basic customer service. Probably will not be back.

I think My Crib is great. They have really good quality items, great selection and the prices are good. The store is tidy and organized. I’ve been going here for a little over a year and I’ve always found the owner/​staff to be pleasant and helpful. We’ve bought toys, shoes, clothes, books and cloth diapers here and everything has been in great shape. The selection of cloth diapers is ample and we’ve found many diapers that are barely used at great prices.

Great Consignment Store. They accept clothing, toys, shoes, baby gear of all kinds, even maternity. With three small children, I love being able to get two uses out of my clothing – them wearing it, and then reselling and using that money to buy new stuff! Great fun. It’s always kept nice and neat and I absolutely love that they have a chair for you to sit and breastfeed. Very accommodating!

I’ve been shopping here for years. The selection is surprisingly robust for the space. I do almost always find something for 3 yrs and under, with the selection becoming sparse in sizes larger than that. I’ve also tried consigning here, with mixed luck; she only takes a few of my things, tho’ they are always in pristine condition. The owner’s demeanor can vary from cool to positively rude, though, so enjoy the shopping but don’t expect a cozy vibe.

Customers need to understand the rules of this store.
The owner readily admits she has no time for courtesies or customer service when «there is a line at my counter».
We will continue to shop here, the prices are good, great selection but we now have been told directly «you will have to find it yourself» in a cold manner when we visit and more than a few customers are in the store.
This makes a person question: why in the world would some one open a customer service based business and truly not enjoy serving customers?

Great find for used kids clothing and gear! Ladies working there were very nice. They said it was a busy day; there were a lot of customers and they were very conversational with all the people visiting. Probably twice as many girl clothes as boys, but still a good selection of each and organized by size. Loved the selection of seasonal items they had — coats, hats, mittens, Halloween costumes, etc. Also had a separate room for maternity clothes. I appreciated that they had a public restroom with a changing station. Only down-​side was it’s very crowded. The space is small and there’s a lot in there, so you have to dig around a bit. Look forward to returning as the seasons change!

This was, by far, my favorite for clothes. Today I got two pairs of shoes, five tops, four pants, and two jackets all for $ 65. I felt like I had won the lottery. Not only that, but the owner and another employee (co-​owner maybe?) kept up a conversation with me nearly the whole time I shopped, without making me feel like I was crazy. They were also very friendly and interactive with my young daughter, which I really appreciated. This store doesn’t have much furniture, and only a few strollers and other big-​ticket items. I LOVE that they offer cloth diapers. A couple bins of shoes for each size seemed like enough. They have shelves of small toys, and big play tables and bouncer chairs tucked under every clothing rack and in every nook and cranny. This place is packed without feeling cluttered. I used the changing table which was great, plus diapers of all sizes stacked underneath in case you forgot one! I love when stores think of the little things. I will be back when my daughter has another growth-​spurt, I loved the quality and brands they offer here.

I’ve been to this store a handful of times to consign my son’s clothes and I will look around and usually buy something while the owner is looking through my consignments. The owner could be friendlier but I’ve gotten used to it over the couple of years that I’ve been coming here and I think that either she’s just really shy or it’s just her personality. Here are the things that I like about the store:
1) They take women’s clothes and maternity clothes
2) The owner is always fairly quick about going through my items and will generally take most of what I bring in.
3) Parking has not been a problem any of the times that I’ve been there.
4) Store is always clean and prices (especially on gear) are excellent.
Things that could be better:
1) The store is verrry small (probably not much that can be done about this)
2) There aren’t that many items for boys. TONS of stuff for girls but the boy’s section seems to get smaller and smaller every time I go there.
3) The hours are not very convenient for working moms. I think the store closes at 4:00 during the week and 5:00 on Saturday. The store is closed on Sunday and Monday.
If you live nearby, this store is OK but probably not worth the trip if you live don’t live very close by.

I’ve visited a lot (nearly all) of the local childrens consignment shops. This one is in my top five. As with all the others, it is a bit overpriced for USED children’s clothing. But, they do have occasional sales on certain coloured tags. they have a fairly good selection and a few hidden gems. I was able to find a couple higher end labels. Not a lot of furniture or gear. A corner of smaller toys. But mostly clothes and a lot of shoes.

WOW as a mom to be I wish I would have found this place a long time ago (before I blew all that money at a large department store). This place is awesome. I got a Bumbo and tray for $ 20 bucks and a JJ cole bundle me for $ 13! Amazing what I spent on everything, I would have spent on just the bundle me new!
The store is clean and doesn’t give me that creepy thrift store vibe. The owner seemed super cool and put me on the «wish list» they have for stuff that you want that they don’t have yet, very cool. I don’t mean to be a label whore but all the clothes I picked up today were all very well known brands and current stuff, clean and new looking! I will be back for sure! Screw mega mart go support your locals!
