As close to the Irish Pubs I’m used to in New York. Food is very good, service is exceptional and folks are friendly. Clancy’s has the best Fish and Chips in Colorado. Everything seems to be made to order, so expect to relax and enjoy an authentic pub. Easily my favorite West of the Hudson!

So far we haven’t had anything we didn’t like! This place is a bit of a hidden gem– driving down 38th Ave you might pass it by like we did but we were not disappointed when we stopped in to check it out. Very low key place, old house converted so it’s broken up into to smaller dining rooms with a large front patio. The staff are always super nice and friendly and great service. Try their asparagus and avocado fries if you get a chance; yum!!!

LOVE this place! The food & service has always been good, but tonight’s pork chop special — exceptional! I hope they put it on the menu permanently, but either way I’ll be back.

4 stars overall. The food and drinks were pretty good. We ordered 2 appetizers for the table to share, entrees and dessert and everyone enjoyed their food. I subtracted one star for the service. The servers were friendly but our table was often overlooked and we also had to get the servers attention a few times. Not terrible service by any means just a little slow.

Met a friend for lunch on a Friday because she lives down the street and I had craving for Fish-n-Chips. The special was half order, friend suggested to do because regular order is big. Glad I listened, was just right. They serve with waffle fries, was good choice. First time visitor, will be back.

Lunch on a Friday afternoon. Party had fish n chips, club sandwich and grilled salmon served with fried rice and a house salad with ranch. Everyone enjoyed their food very much. No complaints. Good service.

Great bar! We headed over for St. Patrick’s Day. It was so packed so we headed downstairs to escape the crowd. Laura was the BEST waitress. She was quick and sweet and so fun. The food was pretty good also. We shared the Shepherd’s Pie, Irish Egg Rolls, Fried Mac & Cheese Balls, & Fried Pickles. Everything was sooo good. I really wish there was a neighborhood bar like this in my neck of the woods. Cheers!

This restaurant is pretty awesome! I’m not a huge Irish food person so keep that in mind when reading this review. The building is awesome– old house converted into a restaurant. I get the club sandwich when I go and it is really tasty– they use sourdough which is a huge plus! They have amazing fries as well! I would recommend this place!

I was really looking forward to a Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner this evening to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The place was packed so it took me a good while to finally find a seat at the back bar. The band was playing and the energy was fantastic! I ordered a Bloody Mary as I am unable to drink beer due to Celiac Disease. Imagine my surprise to find that every item on the menu contained wheat; even the salad dressing!!! It was such a disappointment that this establishment is unable to meet a dietary need by offering up an alternative meal made without beer with the exception of a salad. I am «Irish Lucky» and found a neighboring business serving up a deliciously fresh Corned Beef, Cabbage, Carrot and Potato plate. Thank you, Wheat Ridge Lanes! Yum!!!

My GF and i went here on st patty’s around 4pm and had a hard time getting a table but the food and atmosphere is worth the wait! The mac ‘n’ cheese balls are awesome and the service was very prompt for how busy it was!

Fish n chips decent but not as good as gb’s and enough to maybe make a 10 year old full the irish nachos were bland wish i had tried the irish egg rolls.

This place has lots of character and great food. I like how it’s decorated, the photos and signs on the walls are all really cool to look at. And the layout is not your typical bar layout, but I really like it. It reminded me a lot of the Dark Horse in Boulder. I think it would be a great space for a party. Had dinner when I was there, I got the Bunny Burger and totally loved it. I’m not a meat eater, so I like to try the veggie burger offerings wherever I go, and this was one of the best I’ve had. It was homemade(not a Gardenburger or Boca burger), very hearty. I wish I lived closer so I could eat it everyday. The waitstaff was friendly and took good care of us.

Stopped in for lunch to celebrate a co-worker’s birthday. It needed to be quick, because we all had to move off to a meeting afterward. Also, I will need to preface I only ordered a salad(and had brought my lunch today just in case I didn’t have time.) It’s just your regular irish pub, has that funky vibe with interesting knick knacks smattering the walls. I think it’d be a great place to visit at night, maybe not so much for lunch. I usually don’t go to pubs if I’m not drinking, so perhaps that affected my experience. So anyway, I got the basic salad. It was made with a tomato vinaigrette, which sounded good but I don’t think it was anything special. I had asked for it to be on the side, but when I got(finally) got it, it was already mixed in. Also, I have a feeling that the salad was pre-mixed and sitting overnight. Some of the lettuce was soggy, as were the cucumbers. My co-workers however really liked their food– they got the veg sandwich special, manhattan chowder, and other items. The waitress we had was super nice and friendly, but extremely slow. It took a good 15 minutes or so at least before she took our order. We waited for what felt like a while it seemed like throughout the entire lunch. Given overall that the service was quite slow and the salad wasn’t very fresh, my experience here was«meh.»

Great food, horrible service!!! Waitress was incredibly rude and would roll her eyes anytime someone would order a drink. We told her at the beginning that everyone would be on different tabs, yet she still put everyone on the same tab. When she final separated it, it was all messed up! As long as you don’t get the same server you should be alright!

Stopped in(for the first time) for a mid-week lunch. Both the burger and Harp Sandwich were great. They’re a lot faster serving up your food than the old Clancy’s ever was. We’ll be returning for seconds…

I live pretty close and I was excited to find such a cool place by my house. I’ve been in a couple times and I appreciate the older crowd and the atmosphere. On the other hand, my experience tonight irritated me a little bit. My friend and i stopped in to have a couple drinks and some food. We realized that the dinner prices are outrageous so figured we could get some fries and then eat later at home. There weren’t any prices for drinks or for sides, so we asked the waitress for prices on several items, including the fries. We also had a side of ranch and BBQ sauce. The fries were very tasty. After a couple drinks we asked for our check and realized that, even though we asked for prices on multiple items on the menu, the waitress never told us that a side of ranch was almost a dollar, and a refill in ranch was .75. I ordered a soda water and was charged $ 2.50 for it. I mean, really? Soda water? All it is, is carbonated water. You’re going to charge me $ 2.50 for CARBONATED water, when a well vodka drink is $ 3.50. Pretty stupid.

I’ve been here a couple of time so far, and the food is fantastic. It is priced on the higher end of what one might expect for pub food, but that’s starting to become the norm everywhere. If you’re expecting dive food at dive prices, this isn’t your place. Both times I went I’ve ordered the Salmon Sammy. First with the bun, second time without. The bun is a little oversized for the salmon, and tends to soak up the delicious aioli and beome a soggy mess, so I recommend getting it without. Save those carbs for your beer, kids! As a side order, you might be tempted to skip the«champ» and go with something familiar… but you’d be doing yourself a grave disservice. Champ is basically rustic Irish smashed potatoes, mixed up with(I think) sour cream, cheese, bacon, and chives. So sinful, so damn good. Order it. The beer cheese soup, beef stew, burgers, and fish n’ chips also garnered rave reviews. Nobody, however, liked the Fried Mac and Cheese. It comes as oversized balls, set on a mess of chunky marinara and topped with some… some… I don’t know what. Green threads. It looks like seaweed, but it’s not. It’s a little scary… which brings me to my next point. I don’t know if the green overhead lights in the back dining room are there just for the holiday season, or if they’re a permanent fixture… but for the benefit of your food, they really need to go. Here’s a little science: green lighting on red food makes it appear a muddy brown. SO, when you bring out a plate of Fried Mac and Cheese balls sitting atop big glop of what SHOULD be red marinara, and that chunky red marinara appears to be a chunky BROWN pile of… um… do you see where I’m going with this? I tried to replate the offending mess before the kid who ordered it got a good look at what she later referred to as «dog barf,» but the damage had been done. So, in summation: Green Lights + Red Chunky Marinara = No Bueno. Please, for the love of all that is holy, get rid of those green lights. Poor lighting choices notwithstanding, Clancy’s food is actually quite good and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We’ll be back!

I have been going to Clancy’s for years. I loved the old location before it was gone. Always great food and great beer! Once the old Clancy’s closed I was sad and troubled, no more Clancy’s?! When I heard the new Clancy’s opened I was ecstatic! When I finally had the chance to go in and see how it was with the new owners… I was surprisingly extremely impressed! Didn’t know it was possible for Clancy’s to be taken to the next level and it was better than ever! Now, I love this place more than ever! The food is honestly my favorite part! Thank you new Clancy’s!

My firm did an post volunteer day at Clancy’s and so Tiphanie W. and myself met with the executive chef and owner and the manager to plan the event. We were behind the ball but everyone was very helpful at getting everything planned. They worked with our budget for food and put on a great spread for everyone. Plus the 22 oz mugs of beer were a total hit. The fried Mac and Cheese is fantastically good as are the spring rolls and the meat and cheese platter. Oh yeah the wings were very tasty as well. Everything is made in house and fresh and it tastes like it. I am so impressed with the professionalism of the staff and ownership. It isn’t always easy to plan a corporate event but this went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend Clancy’s for a happy hour or Christmas party in the future.

Awesome local pup. The food is great, the wait staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Everything you would hope a local pup to be and more. If you haven’t eaten here yet, you need to.

In reality 3 ½ stars. I ordered the shepherd’s pie. The gravy was rich and flavorful, the potatoes creamy, and the herbs on top were a nice touch. The servers were polite and helpful, but a bit inefficient. Additionally, I had to ask someone other than my server for utensils. I also felt that $ 7 for a half and half was ridiculous. I will go back again for the food. But for drinks only, I will be frequenting some of the other Irish pubs in Denver

I am a regular of the old Clancy’s and of course the new too. I really am so excited they decided to reopen! Wonderful owners and staff really make this place great to frequent! The food was good before but has made an improvement overall in quality and unique flavors. I come here to find good comfort food and drinks and for community of people that make it feel like home!

With their recent move to a bigger and better building they have upped their food game. The favorites your used are still on the menu and quite a few new ones as well. Newly improved Shepard’s pie with Lamb and in-house made corned beef rueban are great. More taps for a larger beer selection, and an enhanced top shelf selection as well. With two patios front and rear and a maze of rooms inside and downstairs you have a variety of noisey to quite. Downstairs they are hosting music of all sorts from Celtic music Tuesday’s, rock, metal and electronica.

I am so glad they reopened. The new building is beautiful. Definitely an upgrade from the last location. I was worried that they might have changed the recipes from the last location. To my excitement they did not, just made them better. Live irish music and multiple bars to hear it from around the restaurant. You guys are still killing it see you soon. P. S. Hey Unilocal get your crap together. No sign of mice or traps, just jealous surrounding restaurants that are trying to take digs.
