We love taking our Dog here. Carrie (the owner) is always so kind and helpful. They now have a self service wash, which is great! The prices are very inexpensive. My dog looks like a brand new penny every time they groom him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My first time to a professional groomer and I hit the jackpot! The staff was so nice and my dog got a lion cut that was so darn cute. Will definitely be going back for more!

We decided to try out the Barker Shop after our regular groomer at a nearby competitor left and the new groomer did a horrible job on our shih-​tzu. I could not be more pleased with the staff, the haircut, and the facility. The staff was really sweet and cut my shih-tzu’s hair to the exact specifications I provided. They quoted 3 – 4 hours, but I got a call that they were done after 2.5 hours. The shampoo they use smells really good too! Looks like we’ve found our new groomer for our furbaby.

What can I say about Carrie and Cheri, except they are both AWESOME! Barker shop is not only professional but sports some sweet, caring groomers who do topnotch work. I found them on Unilocal and decided to give them a try based on the great ratings. No question why they have the great ratings, they do some great work with the dogs. I am seriously picky about my standard poodle puppy and fussy about her grooming, because I like it perfect, she is a poodle after all. Cheri, after groomer her 2x now, is truly a master at her craft, and meets and exceeds my expectations. I just decided to take my senior bichon (13 years old and with seizures) and tends to get stressed easily, and she did well under the long day with them, and that impressed me even more. The assistant Lupe is awesome as well, making my girls squeaky clean and nice as can be when talking to her on the phone. They are busy, so make sure and book early, but worth the trip. The cost is reasonable and you more than get your money’s worth. Best of all, they just put in a SELF SERVE with all the fixings so check it out, Carrie and Cheri will both make your dogs gorgeous.

I made a last minute appointment for my Pomeranian and am very happy with the price and service. My dog was very nervous and somewhat uncooperative when she first got there; they were very understanding and polite about it. I have been to other groomers in the area who were extremely rude, but the Barker Shop was definitely understanding. They knew how to work with my dogs hair after it was ruined due to a previous cut years ago. Thank you to the staff at this shop, Jazzy and I will be repeat customers.

overall we love this place and so does our dog jack. he’s a fluffy border collie mix, and a hurricane katrina rescue and has all kinds of terror of wind (dryers) and water, and after going every three months he’s now an old pro. they are so patient and kind with him he walks right in with no fear. our last visit they did shave his tail without calling me (he had a beautiful flumed tail he was very proud of) and they left cottonballs in both of his ears, took us a while to figure out why he was shaking his head so much and look). kind of think we got someone new, so we’ll give it another try.

We took our little shih-​tzu mix here based on these reviews and could not be more pleased. Carrie and her team did an amazing and affordable job. She doted on my dog as he were her own and he was so happy when I picked him up. Will definitely be back!

I bring my dog once a week here. Carrie the owner is awesome and I’ve seen her and her assistants put their hearts into caring for my dog. I’ve never had a groomer go above and beyond.

I took my little shih tzu Moochi to the Barker Shop and Carrie, the owner, is such a pleasant lady! She did and awesome job with Moochi. The price is reasonable with tip which actually is way less then what you would pay at any corporate owned groomer. This place is also flexible with your time which I love because my schedule is a little hectic!
I highly recommend this place when you need to get your dog groomed.

I have been going to the Barker Shop for many years. We started going there when Christine was the owner. I really liked Christine & was very sad when she sold the business but I am thrilled with Carrie! She is the sweetest person! She truly loves her job & all of the dogs that she grooms. And, my dog loves her too! That says a lot!
