I Love Studio Hair Design and all the stylists who work there especially the owner Amy R. I have been getting my hair cut & colored by her for 25+ years including perms & keratin treatments. It’s not a huge salon it is comfy, clean and affordable. They insist on keeping up their training on all the latest trends in styles & coloring. They will honestly let you know if a style or color is right for your hair type & skin tone and explain to you in detail how to get the look at home yourself. The prices are fair & the employees are the nicest girls around, they even offered to walk me to my car with an umbrella one rainy day! Give them a try you will NOT be disappointed no matter which stylist you have the pleasure of seeing!!!

I moved and had to leave Amy D. at Studio Hair Design. I was sad, but figured I’d find a new place near me that was just as good. After trying a bunch of mediocre salons that were overpriced, I just decided to make the long haul all the way back to Weymouth to see Little Amy. The drive is an hour in traffic for me, but it’s worth it!
The salon is cutting edge without being pretentious. All the hairdressers there are well schooled in the latest trends, as they are always attending hair shows and conventions. You can book with anyone– Amy R («Big Amy»), Amy D (Little Amy), Rachel, or Jenny– and know you are getting a great cut and color for a reasonable price. They have all the top products available, but no one forces them on you. I have left salons that try to sell me too much stuff!
Last but not least, you get the full salon experience (treated like royalty, good chit chat, a great-​feeling hair wash, everyone says you look great) without the snooty vibe that other salons have.
