Tried this place and was supremely disappointed. The friend items(General gaus and chicken fingers) were inedible. They both tasted like old, stale, disgusting oil that hasn’t been changed in who knows how long.

We’ve been going to Jade Chef for years and years. It’s close by and convenient. We also like Quan’s and go back and forth. We like some dishes better there, some dishes better at Jade Chef. Last night we had family over for a birthday. We went back and forth about going to Jade Chef or Quan’s as both had mildly disappointed at times in the past. We considered Cathay Center, too. We went with Jade Chef because it was closest. We ordered $ 100 of food and everything was excellent. As good as we’ve ever had there. Egg Foo Yong, chow mein, lo mein rice, lobster sauce, numerous apps, egg rolls, etc. People raved about the egg rolls and chicken teriyaki in particular. And they gave us PLENTY of duck sauce. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting. Even this morning, some left over house fried rice with a little lobster sauce mixed in was not dry, as fried rice sometimes is. Glad we picked Jade Chef. Oh, and we were able to use a credit card no problem(in response to a previous review).

We had a pretty awkward experience here. We ordered a ton of food for a family gathering over the phone. My husband asked if we could pay with an Amex. They said they don’t take Amex. How about Visa? They said yes. Ok, so off we go to pick up the food. Upon arrival, the woman behind the counter gave us a free bottle of Coke because we had ordered so much. Cool! But then when my father in law handed her his credit card, she balked. She asked if he could go to the nearby 7 – 11 and get some cash in order to save her and the business money(from credit card fees). My father in law has a quick temper, and he instantly got angry and, of course, refused to budge. The woman wouldn’t drop it and kept insisting he do it in comical broken English, saying how quick and easy it would be. NO. You take the credit card as you said you would, or you can take back the $ 100 worth of food. The woman finally gave up. I’ve never experienced such a thing before. As for the food, it was standard Chinese take out. Nothing special.

For what I require from my take-out joint, fast, hot and tasty, this place has it in spades. Mind you, I’m an app person, so I can’t speak much about their dishes but their apps and fried rice are good.
