Always thought this was just a bar. Never knew about the room out back because I try to avoid pubs(lol). Well lil did I know it’s not. Hajjars is a restaurant & function hall, with great food, in a warm friendly atmosphere. I think most importantly what I wasn’t aware of until more recently was that The Hajjar/Amendolare family does so much giving back to Weymouth & the surrounding communities that I’ll happily 5 star this Bar & Grille/function hall. I hope you’ll join me.

Stopped in for a late nite cap,(11:20), on a Thursday to find all 50+ yo guys at a small bar bragging about who lived in Charlestown longer and were seemingly lookin for a fight, not a friendly place, stay away

Had my wedding shower here! The tea room was a great it has a separate entrance and can easily be decorated however you’d like, complete with its own small bar. The staff was acceptionally friendly and willing to accommodate us however we needed. We had breakfast and sometimes buffet pancakes can be really flat and gross, but their’s were perfectly warm and fluffy. I’d defined recommend others to do events here.

Plain story short this place is a dive. Don’t expect much except cheap beer and good bar pizza. The place itself is a good time, but the bartenders oh dear lord they are terrible. I showed up late to a gathering of friends who had been there for an hour or so and they had gotten a little rowdy, but it was 9 o’clock on a Saturday night and a live band was playing. The bartender shut off my friends which I understood and said they had to wait a while to order another shot, I who had only ordered 1 beer asked for a shot and she refused to serve me, I was polite, I didn’t cut anyone in line waiting to order, and I simply asked can i have one of the shots you served my friends and she refused and accused me of trying to give my friends shots. You have to be kidding me? I ordered 1… not 5 and I couldn’t get my shot because my friends had already had too many, that’s a really great way to make business. Keep in mind I had had maybe 2 sips of my FIRST beer, and she knew that. Let’s put it this way, I’ll go back because my friends enjoy tormenting this particular bartender, but unless you want to go to a total dive don’t bother. The only good thing is the pizza, the live music, and the owners are really friendly, I think it’s family owned in which case it might be time to reevaluate your staff.

The Worst Watering Hole in Weymouth! Young couples drink too much and fight. There is a regular there — Italian guy who swears left right front and center. F-In this every 2 words. The guy needs to be barred for life. The place is actually gross! The bartenders are friendly but this sinking ship is going down!

Only come on Tuesday nights for trivia. It’s a good time. The food is decent and cheap and you can’t argue with PBR draft for $.175.

This place is gross. But I came to see a band play here. The waitresses are nice but if you go up to the bar & you are not a guy or a regular you will not get waited on. I even screamed out my order & still no response. So one guy saw my frustration & ordered my drinks for me. I definitely did not tip &. I usually feel guilty afterwards if I did not, but I didn’t even care this time.

This is a really nice restaurant with a heart. The Grandmother at 90 years old does indeed still show up and make you feel welcome. This is a family restaurant however everyone is welcome. Has free entertainment after 8 pm. Beers are very cheap with 16 ounce Sam Seasonals coming in at only $ 3.50 per glass. Food is good and affordable and the waitresses are genuine. Tusday night is $ 2.00 pizza night and the pizza is the best pizza around in our opinion better than Randolphs Lynnwood restaurant. Thursday nights are $ 1.00 hamburg nights with each topping only $.50. Most nights you seat yourself so saying there was a long wait before being seated is in our opinion inaccurate. Noise level is ok but after 8 pm music or entertainment gets rather loud so if you want to have a conversation make it before 8 pm. We recommend this restaurant

I have only been to Hajjar’s for breakfast so that is all I can give my opinion on. Arriving at Hajjar’s it was quiet and seemed family oriented whereas there were a few kids running around having fun. I ordered OJ and a King omelet. When the omelet arrived I was impressed that it was very large and happy because I was hungry. It was made with four eggs, cheese, onions, linguisa, ham and sausage. It was delicious and I was so full that I felt like I might explode. It was a good value at $ 9 and served with home fries and toast. I will be back to terminate another omelet soon.

Hajjar’s is an interesting mix of people with affordable drinks and food. My favorite time to go is late sunday morning– around 11am after the busy time has passed. They offer Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings till around noon. Great menu of omelets, eggs, french toast etc and specials. This morning I had the Zako skillet– a scrambled egg skillet with potatoes, kielbasa, onions, peppers and cheese(which I choose feta). It comes with toast or English muffin. $ 8 My bf had The Kings omelette which was huge. Four eggs with ham, sausage, linguisa, onions and cheese. Comes with home fries and toast or English muffin. $ 9 Our waitress was very nice and we were so so full.

The lady who own the place was not around this visit, she is nice and is quite a character. We wanted to play a little Keno, but the waitress refused to take the bets up, despite the fact that she did not have alot of covers, and could easily have done so. That leaves one to have to go up to the bar, where one gets ignored by the blonde bartender. Yes she was busy but I went up and tried twice to get the bets in and she didn’t even acknowledge that I was there. They have a separate booth type of deal off the side that is sometimes manned, strictly for the Lottery. It was empty this day. That does not mean that anyone who wants to play can go f*** themselves. So they did themselves no favors. The app sampler and the eggplant sandwhich were just mediocre. We would have stuck around, but between the being ignored, the mindless NASCAR on the TV, and the endless selection of country songs on the juke, we boogied out of this place, and are not likely to return.

Went there today and there is no one to seat us and the bartender ignored us. So we left and won’t be back.

I was out w/the family on Saturday looking for a place to grab lunch. Last time I was at Hajjar’s I wasn’t there for the food and know I enjoyed the drinks and band… so we decided to give it a shot. The bar had patrons sitting having drinks and the restaurant had about 10 tables occupied. So we stood there for 5 minutes waiting to be seated — the bartender ignored us and the one server was across the room chatting w/people at one of the tables w/her back to us. Now maybe it’s a seat yourself but there’s no sign either way and I as a customer should not have to determine that. So we walked out… and won’t be back. Which is too bad b/c I love supporting local family owned, no frills restaurants… and I love to eat out which could have made it a win-win for myself and Hajjar’s. Oh well…

No one in their right mind could confuse this unpretentious little place in a rather eclectic neighborhood with shiny, bass-thumping, overpriced clubs in Boston or New York. It’s a place for regular people and it’s got everything real people want in a club. Karaōke, trivia, better-than-average food… nothing too dressed up or overpriced. Now let’s get to the music. It’s not something from an art-school graduate you’ve never heard of who learned how to sync a variety of beats on a machine using some software program. No, you’ll hear dance tunes from the 60’s and later from artists who really sang and played instruments. Amazingly, most of what they play are songs that everyone knows. What a concept! Hajjar’s isn’t pretty and it certainly doesn’t pander to patrons looking for an «experience,» or who want to be pampered. It’s got really good food, reasonably-priced drinks, enough events and cool music for everyone. Not bad.

I don’t even know about any other night here(aside from $ 2 pizza night), but Thursdays at Hajjar’s are just about the greatest thing to happen to my friends and I. Karaōke with Darlene pwns. She is the most fun karaōke DJ you will ever encounter. The service is pretty awesome, too(if you get the right waitress). I ordered a plate of nachos once(with all the trimmings, of course), and was even brought a plate of extra nachos so I could finish all of the salsa/cheese/etc that was left on the plate. It’s the kind of place where the waitress will treat you like a regular after only your 3rd time there. But anyway, I could care less about how this place is outside of Thursday night karaōke with Darlene. It just kicks that much ass. And the crowd? Nary a douchebag twenty-something in sight. Win.

I’ve only been there once so far, but I was very impressed. For once my 40-year-old self and my 50-year-old husband were dancing with actual people over the age of 25, how refreshing! The band was awesome and the crowd was very energetic. We ate dinner beforehand, and the food was very inexpensive and excellent. They have a nice variety of food and plenty for the vegetarian and meat eater alike(I had the pasta primavera with alfredo, and my husband had the chicken francaise/loved them). I also appreciate that a dinner salad can be added on for a mere $ 1.99, and they were big salads! The bread was wonderful and crusty. Okay, now I’m hungry, and I just ate lunch. The wine list was suprisingly extensive as well and the wine was very good. All in all, a great and relatively cheap night out.

I’ve never eaten here, just drank at the bar and listened to music. Because there isn’t a cover and drinks are not expensive(a 16 oz IPA is $ 3.75 and a mixed drink was only $ 4) it’s a cheap night out to drink listen to music and dance. No Techno here, mostly Classic Rock and Top Forty and lots of dance music. The dance floor is large, the crowd is usually in the 30 + plus age range. Hajjars attracts a lot of locals and the crowd can sometimes resemble the bar scene in Star Wars… lol
