Dr. Aleo and his staff are beyond amazing! I’m a professional nanny and my littlest broke the arm off my glasses on Tuesday. I called 15 eye doctors after my own couldn’t take me for 2 weeks and none could take me any sooner. His office squeezed me in for today (Friday). They were on time, kind, knowledgable and efficient. Dr Aleo went out of his way to make sure I went home with a pair of glasses and a backup pair since mine were beyond repair. I have found a new eye doctor despite being with mine for a decade. Thank you for exceptional customer service!

Dr. Aleo and the workers are really friendly. I needed a new specs so I went to this place. Appointment takes time, for me it took 7 days. I was impressed by doctor who not only diagnosis my eyesight but also provide important suggestions. Price for frames are moderate and lot of options are available. I got my specs after 7 days. I used to make my way down to Korb & Associates in the Back Bay, but fighting tooth and nail for parking got old so I decided it was time for a new optometrist (having to wait weeks for my last pair probably didn’t help either). I came across Dr. Aleo at FVC. He’s the only optometrist at the practice, but he’s got a friendly, knowledgeable supporting cast running the office. Needing a quick vision exam, they managed to squeeze me in the following week. Dr. Aleo, working off my glasses, had a great demeanor and was efficient in getting me in and out. My last pair was slightly stronger than I needed, but he was honest and didn’t try to sell me a pair of glasses that would’ve provided little to no improvement.
I opted to spend my allowance on some plano contact lenses for fun. FVC doesn’t have a contact fitting fee that many other practices charge to tell you that the standard lenses fit (never understood why there was a fee when the dimensions are the same across the board). I can’t speak on price as much of what I did was covered by insurance, but the convenience, great staff, and efficiency has me recommending FVC to family and friends!

This was the first time I’ve visited FVW but through the entire process they’ve been incredibly helpful and informative which, unfortunately is atypical these days. Besides being flexible with appointments during a snow storm, the best part is that they do not charge separately for contact lens check ups. They were the only office in the area that would not charge me a separate $ 75 – 100 to fit me for contacts, which insurance didn’t cover. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Dr. Aleo is the best doctor of any type that I have ever had, or met. His professionalism and friendly demeanor or «bedside manner» — as it’s referred to — is the best I have ever experienced.
Recently I telephoned his offices when I woke up with a potentially serious eye condition, and he immediately commenced to contact local hospitals to set up an appointment for me that very same day. Not only did he get me an appointment, he also called me back later that day to find out if all was okay. This is the sort of personalized and caring efficiency that you might read about somewhere but never actually experience. I actually experienced it.

I’d been having all day extreme redness from my contact lenses after switching from Synergeyes lenses to rigid gas permeable lenses (hard contacts). After my first optometrist could not figure out the problem, I made an appointment with Dr. Aleo based on his great Unilocal reviews.
Family Vision didn’t disappoint. Both Dr. Aleo and his wife had all of my information ready when I came in and worked with me to get a larger diameter lens that no longer chaffed my cornea. Family Vision has decades of experience with hard contact lenses for people who like having superior vision over crappy soft contact lenses.
These folks are very friendly, open to new ideas, and the prices are reasonable. They treat you like gold.
