I was unsure of what to expect as reviews on Unilocal cover a broad range, but after a Sunday morning donut run… I’m a huge fan. There is a great selection of donuts here, but to get the full array you definitely need to go on the earlier side. At 8:30AM on a Sunday morning, I was able to choose from at least 15 varieties… not to mention the huge assortment of pastries they also offer(muffins, croissants, danishes, etc.) The price is RIGHT. For about $ 6.50, I got a half-dozen donuts(lemon crème x2, Boston crème, chocolate honey glaze, honey glaze and jelly filled). They were amazing… hands down probably one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. Light and fluffy(with the exception of the chocolate — that bad boy was dense), great filling ratio… so good. The store sells lottery tickets, cigarettes and candy as well(a slightly confusing business model, but they know their clientele and if that’s what they want, more power to them!). If you don’t like it, take your donut and leave.

Best donuts I have ever had. Freshly made daily. Get there early for the best selection. Yes, the store may be a little rough around the edges but the staff is incredibly friendly. I get donuts here for my work every once and a while and they are all hooked now too!

May not be the fanciest place in town, and speaking about people’s looks, social economic status and weight, have no bearing on a food review! Christopher’s review is an attack against customers not the establishment. Christopher, perhaps you should stay in «upscale» Bridgwater… NOT!

Talk about a depressing environment. It looked and felt like any evening at any singles bar, especially those where the clientele are desperate and lonely The selection of donuts was a joke and what they did have on hand was stale and tasteless. DONOT go here!

The donuts are way better than dunkin donuts. Plus they sell dunkaroos. Or used to when i lived in weymouth. Coffees cheap but good. If I ever move back home I’m gonna be an old lady enjoying coffee and breakfast here every Sunday morning in my moo-moo.

Amazing donuts. The coffee is so bad that it isn’t drinkable, however I still have to give the place 5 stars for the donuts.

I’ve had friends visit me in Massachusetts, from all over the place. The one thing they all have in common, they remark how many Dunkin Donuts we have here. Two on every corner. We may be the Dunkin Donuts capital of the world. Donut King is a refreshing change from Dunkin, and frankly offers some of the best donuts in the state. Donut King has ridiculously awesome glazed donuts(I think they call them honey dipped), but either way they are big, flaky, and gooey. They blow away Dunkin Donuts! The best part is that ‘inivisble crust’ that forms around the Donut King donut. As soon as you bite into it, that clear crust cracks and tiny pieces of white icing cling to your lips. It’s donut bliss. I suggest you go here and get donuts. I am happy donut king isn’t close to my house, I’d eat there all the time. Fortunately I don’t like Dunkin Donuts, and that helps my waistline. :)

Family friendly! Disney toons painted on the side window. Family friendly? Cigarette prices advertised on the front door. Family friendly! They sell large, yeasty, honey-dipped donuts at least than a buck a pop. Family friendly? Most eat-in patrons resemble folks you wouldn’t want your kids around. This is based purely on initial impression — I’m sure they’ve phenomenal personalities. Family friendly! There’s candy in the donut case. M&Ms, Nerds Rope and Orbit gum galore! Family friendly? There’s candy in the donut case? Is it a convenience store, a bakery or a diner? I spent ten minutes in there and still haven’t a clue. But my $ 3 breakfast sandwich — two overcooked eggs and a slice of American cheeze on a fluffy, hot English — remarkably hit the spot, and the donuts rocked the casbah. 3.5 with a Charlie Brown bump for the rotating window art.

NEVER will I give my business to this place. I heard of Donut King before moving to the South Shore area, and how freshly-made their donuts are. It was only 2 weeks ago(before this review) that my wife’s cousin had a box of donuts from the business, and let me have one to try. Yes, the donut was excellent, without a doubt. This gave me reason to try and get some of their product on my own during the subsequent weekend. I went the following weekend(of my trying the donut, courtesy of my wife’s cousin), and arrived to no people, no lights, no nothing going on. I got out and read a sign taped to the door, stating they were(to paraphrase), «…closed to attend graduation». Listen, I understand small/independent businesses have more«freedom» with their operating hours, but to not open at all for an entire day solely to attend personal matters is not thinking on behalf of the customers who support your business. I would expect at least one person could’ve been there to sell whatever donuts they could’ve made the night before. I suppose the customer takes a back seat to their personal life. Fast forward to the weekend after that(which is today). I finally drove 5 minutes from where I live to have attempt # 2 at buying some of Donut King’s donuts. Once I enter the establishment, here’s what I see being offered: cookies, some type of cake/cupcakes, and for donuts… honey dipped. Yes, I was hoping to get one of their supposed many varieties of donuts(possibly old fashioned or chocolate glazed). Nope… the«Donut King» had ONETYPEOFDONUT available to buy. Keep in mind, this is around 10:15am. If they’ve been in business as long as they apparently have been, I don’t understand how you can only make enough donuts to last until 10:15am. At that point, is their feeling, «I guess he’s s**t out of luck?» As a potential customer, you’re supposed to cater to me & my schedule/product needs. It’s obvious that at Donut King, you’re supposed to cater to their personal life and accept their lack of foresight as to not offering a variety of the one product they name their business after… DONUTS. Don’t waste your time.

Good donuts. It’s kind of like a diner. A nice alternative from Dunkin Donuts.
