This rating is based off of a tour of the facility and their staff. My child did not attend this daycare. I stopped by Kiddie Academy for a tour unannounced. I didn’t have an appointment and was told I couldn’t see the room or get any information until I made an appointment. This was a red flag to me. Every other place I went to visit didn’t have a problem with me stopping by. I made an appointment to visit the following week and gave them my child’s name, age and my information. I arrived a few minutes early and waited in the lobby for the assistant director. I talked to the director, Mona for a few minutes. She seemed great and interacted with my child. Elizabeth the assistant director gave us our tour. She didn’t remember our names or how old my child was. She told me she left the paper in the office and it was currently occupied. She didn’t once acknowledge my child. She showed us the current room my child would be in and then the next room. While the rooms were very nice, the staff didn’t acknowledge us once. Elizabeth didn’t have much to say about the rooms and at one point had to leave us in the hall because another staff member had a question. She showed us outside and that concluded the tour. We were in the facility for less than 10 minutes. After we visited the rooms I asked about transitioning between rooms and if it is by age or development. The answer I got was when the staff feel the child is ready. I then asked if there was availability in the room for my child. I was told that she didn’t know and that she would give me a call. I asked if she could look right then and she told me the office was being occupied and she didn’t have the paperwork on her. This was after I visited the previous week and was told I needed to make an appointment. After making an appointment I expected her to be more prepared. It is now over three weeks later and I never got a call back. Needless to say we did not pick this facility and I would not recommend anyone wasting their time.
