If I could write a 0 star review, I would. My son joined the town hockey clinic to learn the sport. They practice at Fritz Dietl. Dirty bathrooms, no locker areas to change and no space to watch the skaters… Just scratched plexiglass windows that you have to stand by. But my major complaint is of the«staff.» I can get past the dirty bathroom and lack of changing area however, this part is unacceptable… Well, my son had a severe on-ice injury and cut an artery… The coaches quickly removed him from the ice. Fortunately, another parent, on hand, was a physician and began helping my son… There is a man who«manages» the place, I don’t know his name, but you can’t miss him: he is large and is the son of the owner– at least I’ve been told he is related. As blood was gushing, the previously described Fritz Dietl«employee» was complaining that he had to «get pine sol» to clean up. Did he dial 911? No. Did he offer any assistance? No. He just loudly complained about all the work he would have to do to clean up the blood! The doctor was calmly asking for a first aid kit — again, the heavy guy from Fritz Dietl said«ain’t got that» but he announced that he had to look for a mop… Again, we were calling out for towels… «Nah, nothing like that» Really?! As I look back at this, my blood boils. At the time, I ignored this absolute disregard of any humanity because I was more concerned for my son and holding paper towels to attempt to slow the bleeding… We rushed him to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Thank God they were able to stabilize him and he is hopefully on the long road of recovery. A few days have passed and in our rush to the hospital we lost some keys… I went back to the rink and politely asked if they found anything we may have left in our haste. An elderly lady directed me to the heavy set guy because«he was working that night» — do you think the guy asked how my son was? Nope, instead he complained how difficult it was for him to clean up «the mess» made. Excuse me?! I am furious beyond belief! Is this a way to act to a customer? A fellow human being? He was witness to this… Absolutely no compassion, curiosity or responsibility! My disgust is beyond belief! Beware parents and skaters… I would forgo this abomination of a «business.» You literally take your life in your hands by going there. Luckily(for him) his parents own this, I can’t imagine ANYONE else hiring this complete jackass!

First time here today. I brought eleven 13 year old girls for part of my daughter’s birthday celebration. This is a terrific rink for a more intimate experience. The owner is very nice as well as everyone working here. I have previously had a birthday party at The Ice House for my daughter… like 3 years ago. Tons more people. Somewhat chaotic. I really enjoyed this smaller venue.

This place is more for beginning skaters. The people running this place were unfriendly to my friend and me. If you’re in high school and okay with a small rink that is never looked after, this is the place for you. Plus, the ice skating hours are only for two hours to the public, and $ 10 for a place that looks like it’s barely taken of… it’s a rip off
