Charmaine is amazing! I’ve been going to her for almost three years and she’s never given me anything short of a fabulous haircut! I have thick complicated hair and she always knows what to do and follows instructions beautifully. She’s also the best blowdryer around if you just need a blowout for a special occasion! You won’t be disappointed you chose this place! It’s also a beautiful space, overlooking the water… plan a late morning haircut followed by lunch at Acqua – DONE!

I wish I had more good things to say about the salon as the lady(owner) was very nice. I really think the salon is pricey for the service. My haircut was very normal, nothing exciting! The very first thing I said as soon as I sat down was I need layers but once the haircut was done, it was pretty flat absolutely no layers! I had to really convince her to get what I want which she later agreed with. Apart from the haircut, one thing which bothered me a lot was the cleanliness! The brush she used on me had so much hair on it which grossed me out. I loved the location but not so much the salon itself.

This place advertise them self on groupon but when you use one there, they treat you like s**t. employee Amy was very rude to me and color my hair awful color on purpose and then accuse me that I use groupon before, refuse to blow dry my hair, only blow dry after manager told her to do it. Stay away from this place rude and angry unprofessional people

What bizarre comments people have about the prices here. Have they been going to Supercuts prior, or something? The prices are completely in line with nice salons across the country. Bottom line. It’s a gorgeous space. Very stylish, chic and modern overlooking the river. Plan your day of pampering along with lunch or dinner and shopping on Main Street. It’s the perfect excursion! Blaine is super fabulous for cuts. And you may just get some spiritual healing /counseling from him too if that’s the sort of stuff you are into.

Have never written a Unilocal review, but I have to say I enjoyed everything about my first experience at Fringe 125 in Westport. I normally get my hair colored by some of the finest salons in NYC, but was in need of a quick touch up this weekend on the way up to CT. Jaime did an incredible job listening to what I wanted and I left feeling like my color has never looked better — natural and yet vibrant. I have dark hair, and for the past year haven’t found a salon in NYC where I didn’t come out feeling like a bronzed pumpkin. Highlights here were perfect. I also found the loft-like salon with water views relaxing and welcoming — whoever wrote that this place could be more friendly hasn’t visited a salon in NYC. Look forward to visiting again whenever I’m in CT.

Blaine has been my stylist for years! I absolutely trust him and can say, «Do something different; I need a change!» I’ve never been disappointed. When women approach you and ask, «Who does your hair?» That says it all. The new salon, Fringe 125 is unpretentious, and the staff always make me feel comfortable and valued. I appreciate that the products used are healthy and as natural as possible. Clients leave looking both chic and current. Great location… great salon!

I go to Fringe for haircuts with Jose and hair color by his lovely wife Danielle. I cannot rave enough about this dynamic duo. Their prices are excellent and their cuts and color are like none other I have ever received. The haircut is a 60 – 90 minute cut to perfection. Before coloring my hair, Danielle sits me down and analyzes what is needed. She will offer suggestions if I have an idea and will be honest if she does not think it is the best option. I will never go to another hair stylist or colorist… Jose and Danielle at Fringe are it!!!

Jayson may have given me the worst haircut of my entire life. When I returned to tell him I was unhappy with my haircut, he refused to take any responsibility and tried to blame my prior haircut which was fine. The prices are ridiculous(even for Fairfield County).

I got a Groupon for this salon so I decided to give it a try. I am a working professional from Milford, CT and I thought that 150 for a Keratin smoothing treatment was a little pricey, even for a Groupon. Alas, the salon was in Westport, so I expected to have to pay a little more than usual. The salon itself is in a very nice location with pretty views. The junior stylist who did my keratin, John, was very nice and professional. While I haven’t washed my hair out yet, I’m hoping for good results. Here are the problems I had with my experience. First of all, I asked John how much formaldehyde was in the product he used. His answer was, «Less than three percent.» Now couldn’t that technically be anything 0, 1,2 percent? I felt a little uncomfortable with the vague answer. Second or all, John had to stop tending to my treatment at one point; one of their regulars came in unannounced and the salon decided to bend their arrangements for her. I’m sorry, but if I am paying 150 plus tip, don’t leave me with your floor sweeper to dry my hair. That’s rude. The overall vibe of the salon is intimidating– even if you are upper middle class like myself. It is clearly priced for very wealthy clientele. The elderly receptionist with platinum hair was very cold and couldn’t force a smile out of herself. They don’t take tips through debit cards(is this normal?) and their ATM was out of money, so I actually had to mail John a tip. He was really good about the whole thing! The receptionist, however, made me feel like a total jerk. Overall, the salon probably has some good talents but its way too«high brow» and the prices are really beyond ridiculous. Regularly, a keratin treatment is 350. Cuts start at 95 and go up to 200. If you really have 200 dollars to burn, get a 75 dollar haircut at a reputable salon and give the rest to a charity or something! :)

Great salon– great location. Very nice ambiance, and everything is new and very well kept up. I’ve been hopping from salon to salon in the Fairfield area for quite awhile now. I used to work in NYC, and I had a lot of very good hairstylists I’d see on a regular basis– but it got hard to find someone when I changed jobs back to CT. Ben did an awesome job cutting my hair a few weeks ago. He was also super easy to work with– since I knew I needed a cut but was not sure what to do. He was very prompt and confident with some suggestions that worked out really well. I’m definitely an amateur when it comes to styling my own hair, but he gave me some workable tips. They also offer free bang trims which is a plus if you’re worrying about maintenance! The price of a senior stylist is not cheap, but if you’re used to NYC prices then the prices here aren’t really shocking. Overall I’m happy and relieved to find someone I can now go to on a regular basis!

Lovely salon with a fantastic location! This place is amazing, I have extremely thick hair that hadn’t been cut in a while but after I went in and got my hair cut with Ben I felt like a brand new person! I swear that man works magic on hair, I went from drab hair to fantastic hair! People even stopped me to ask where I got may hair done! Definitely a fantastic salon and it’s conveniently located right on main street! Love it!
