We have seen this place for such a long time but we never stopped until now. We went in and we noticed that it was very busy, this place is small, but it has seating outside and inside. Anyways we sat down and right away somebody came to ask what we wanted to drink, we got coffee. We glanced the menu and noticed that there was a good selection of breakfast items and lunch items, they also have mexican dishes. I ordered the ribeye steak and eggs, which comes with hashbrowns and toast. The steak was medium and a good size, it was well season and tender, my hashbrowns were well cooked. My husband got sirloin steak and eggs, he really liked it as well, tender steak and well seasoned. They kept coming back to refill our coffee and service was great, we waited a bit for our food to come out because it was very busy, the owner came and apologized. Overall we will come back again to try something else. This place is open for breakfast and luch only.

Overall they are good, but the fact they are a breakfast place and only have soy creamer(no half n half) bothers me too much. They do offer milk instead of half in half but that doesn’t cut it. The biscuits and gravy are fantastic.

Cute little café! The food was good porportions. We had the omlette with feta cheese inside or ontop. not sure of the name of it. Really good size omlette as well. They pile the cheese on there! so if youre not a cheese fan, i reccommend asking for light cheese. Also had the pancakes… MUSTTRY! The BEST pancakes i had EVER! I thought IHOP had really good pancakes. no. Uncle petes café is where to find really good pancakes.

It’s really nothing spectacular. My husband and I both got scramblers… him the steak and I the chicken… I asked for no mushrooms in my scrambler and for over-medium eggs instead… Unfortunately my order came out wrong, but they gave us 2 free over-medium eggs because of their mistake. The gravy on the biscuits in gravy has very little flavor… their coffee isn’t very good. The service was kind… but the food forgettable.

We love Uncle Petes! We come for breakfast all the time, and recently have been coming for lunch which is great. I look forward to trying out the dinner! It’s a pretty popular family owned spot. If you come on Sunday morning you might have to wait 5 – 10 mins to sit, but it’s definitely worth it! Customer service is great, all the servers are super nice and helpful. Food is delicious! If you like waffles, uncle Petes make the best I’ve ever had. Everything I’ve ordered comes out great! I recommend this place to anyone who likes good food!

Went with the fam for the first time for me but hubby and mother in law have been years ago. Cute little place with great food. Definitely would go back again. The omelettes are really good and cheesy.

Ok, to be clear…4−5 stars for the service…2 stars for the food. This is an interesting place. It’s on a busy, main street(Beach blvd) tucked in a small strip center with another restaurant and other businesses. You walk inside and you’re not sure if it wants to be a sports bar(basketball and tennis were on 4TV’s) or a liquor store(they sell Lotto tickets and have 2 monitors showing the draws). Each table has Lotto forms to fill out even! Add groceries and liquor, and you’ll have a little bodega in Westminster! Anyways, back to the restaurant itself. It appears to be frequented by locals. We were promptly seated and our server took our drink orders. In fact, he was very attentive and checked on us at a good interval. As one reviewer said, they had Smucker’s Apple Cinnamon jam in those little pods. That is a very unique and rare flavor! I’m not sure why I didn’t take some«for the road»! Argh! I had come here since I was craving for a reasonably priced, authentic Monte Cristo sandwich. The menu described it as being deep fried so I was confident in my order. Well, I’m not really sure if it was deep fried or just quickly flash fried. It tasted like it was simply dipped in egg and grilled on all sides. But, the ends had a crust to them as well. So, I can only guess that they just don’t dip the sandwich is a deep frying type batter. Hence, my slight disappointment. In addition, the preserves was nothing to write home about. Taste wise, it was okay. There was a little sweetness because of the jam(not preserve). The bread was a bit mushy as well. So, my search for the perfect or even good MC sandwich continues. Mind you, the one at Café Orleans in Disneyland is pretty darn good. However, it’s not worth the price of admission!

I don’t lie to write bad reviews on someone’s business but I must say that chances of me coming here for breakfast again is likely never to happen. I feel like I just ate a tub of butter. My food had so much grease on it. And I really dislike the fact that the check is serve with my food. Made me felt unwelcome. Service felt like I walked into a funeral home. I’m sorry. This day and age, this is really not very good business. That’s my take on it.

Uncle Pete’s is a neighborhood diner that serves massive portions for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Drop on by if you’re in the mood for a hearty all American breakfast served by their friendly and attentive staff. They also sell lotto and scratchers if you’re feeling lucky.

Service = 5 stars. We were warmly greeted, promptly seated, and despite our long stay to work and draw, the great attitude never wavered. True, we stayed during non-peak hours and it was never full while we were there, but still … friendly service great attitude. Food = 4 stars. I had the hash and eggs and they were 5 star great, especially since I could actually taste the food itself because stuff wasn’t oversalted. They don’t have fresh fruit for waffles/pancakes/ice cream, only compotes, and no hot fudge either, only chocolate syrup, so minus 1 star for stuff I wanted but couldn’t have. Environment = 4 stars. Clean, well-lit, and pleasant. However, while I understand it’s relatively neutral and non offensive, so nice for such establishments, some of us don’t like football or lottery, especially with semi-oldies for the soundtrack. Also, never did get the wifi connected. However, they do have an outlet or two accessible inside, so that helps. Also, outdoor seating was simple, but pleasant and copious, so I could see myself outside there if it had been a tad warmer. Overall it was very enjoyable. Overall, I would absolutely go back, especially if I didn’t need wifi. With wifi working, I could see this becoming a regular hangout. Definitely worth a try, especially for breakfast.

It’s Sunday morning and I was in desperate need of some good hangover breakfast. Search for the nearest diner and voila! Saw the great reviews and pics of the tasty foods so I had to support my local eatery. Now… I’ve had 15 successful years of corporate restaurant experience as a bartender, trainer and management. This place did not disappoint. It was busy and there was a wait but nobody seemed to mine. The owner Tom graciously greeted me, Luis attentively took my owner and I was on my way home in less than 20mins! As I waited I was people watching and made small talk with the local community, young and old. Hard working blue collar folks like me and everyone was super nice. Anyhow… that was half the fun and now I had to get home quickly to savor these delicious 3 shortstack pancakes, 4 huge french toasts, 2 over-easy eggs, &6 beautifully heavenly pieces of crispy bacons. Too good abs hit the spot. I’m still hungover but with a satisfying full tummy lol How good was it? See anything in my togo containers? Exactly…

This place has great food and classic diner friendly waitresses. Ordered corned beef hash & eggs and it was delicious. Thanks to the waitress that attended me. I didn’t me mean to keep her running around but every time she brought something out I realized I had forgotten to ask her for a new item. I It’s tough to see from the street but you should make the attempt to look for it cuz it’s sooooo good.

How do I give six stars? I just had to drive the 20 miles to get here to see what all the hype is about. Every five star rating is true. I purposely ordered more than I knew I could eat because I wanted to give an accurate Unilocal review. Started with the fried zucchini sticks. Enough for four or more people. Came out piping hot(all dishes were piping hot!) and delicious. Just the right amount of breading. I didn’t see any clans in the clam chowder but the flavor was there. Delicious and s large bowl; not some chinsy little cup like most places serve when included in the meal. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mash and veg. I was a little leary ordering the mash because when I asked he said they fresh made once every day. Big red flag but ordered them anyway. They tasted like they just made for my order. White gravy was flavorful and not pasty although it looked like it might have been. As for the veg, they were jut prefrozen mixed veggies. Nothing special. The dinner also came with dessert but I never saw it cause the server offered to box it up for me along with half my dinner. Tom, the owner came by and commented on how much food I ordered. I told him it was intentional for a Unilocal review. Before I told him that it it was an experimental review, he comped the zucchini. He didn’t know it was for Unilocal. Would I come back? HELLYES I WOULD! I’m dying to try their breakfasts. Oh and when the other reviewers commented that the place is filled with«old white people», they were right! So I felt right at home being an «old white person» myself! SENIORSRULE!!!

BF gets his hair cut in the same plaza and I keep looking at this place every time we drive by so finally he agreed to try it out! Small diner were the workers are super friendly and even call the repeat customers by name so that’s nice to see. What we got: Corned Beef Hash & Eggs w/Biscuits and Gravy($ 8.45): was deciding between this and the chicken fried steak, but decided to get the corned beef hash! Comes with 2 eggs cooked how you like it, hash browns or country potatoes, toast or english muffin or biscuits and gravy. I got my eggs sunny side up, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy. It cames with a slice of cantaloupe too. Every was good besides the biscuits and gravy… gravy left a funny aftertaste and feeling on the roof of my mouth. Biscuits were too thick tasting? Rib Eye Steak & Eggs w/White Toast($ 11): also comes with 2 eggs cooked how you like it, hash browns or country potatoes, toast or english muffin or biscuits and gravy. BF also got his eggs sunny side up, hash browns, but with white toast. He said the steak had too much fat, but I loved it! So all the fat pieces for me! Could have used more seasoning on the steak though, but I like it dip it in ketchup and my BF likes it dipped in A1 anyway. Service: Very attentive service. Coffee cup was always refilled. Food didn’t take too long to come out. Got up to pay at the counter though. Not sure if we would come back, but who knows! Portions are huge though! Ate about half and took the rest home for the next day.

Have been enjoying Uncle Pete’s food for several years now. My usual go to is their greek salad. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, olives and feta. Topped with their secret recipe greek dressing. Honestly they should bottle this stuff up and sell it. I usually ask for my salad with chicken or steak and it is so delicious. On cheat days I go for their banana waffle topped with caramel. The owner, Tom, is usually there making sure the food tastes as good as it looks. Super friendy and attentive staff make this place one of my favorites!

I’ve been living in the area for about 20 years and have always drove by but never actually stopped in. Today finally decided to give Uncle Pete’s a try. It was pretty busy but we were seating right away. Nice little cozy place with a warm feel. Definitely an older crowd, saw many senior citizens but it didn’t really make me feel uncomfortable being there or anything. The food was good quality and fresh. We ordered the Denver Croissant and the Eggs Benedict, both tasted good and under $ 10 dollars. The service was good and attentive as well. I will be coming back for sure

Uncle Pete’s is my home away from home! The food is wonderfully fresh, delicious, perfectly priced and served up quickly, and always with a warm smile! I almost never go any place else because there’s REALLY no reason to!
