I’ve been going to here for all my tailoring needs since I was in High School. Over 20 years. I’ve always been happy with their service & the speed in which they can get something done. I have never had any problem with any work they have done.

I’ve taken a dozen items to Tommie’s Tailoring. While the work has been properly completed, I won’t be going back after the quote I received today. To hem and take in the hips of a pair of(unlined) pants, she told me it would be $ 40. A year ago, the same thing was less than half of that, so I will be going elsewhere.

DONOTGOHEREFORYOURTAILORINGNEEDSEVER! The lady who works there(I believe Kim) ruined my pants! I brought in the pair of pants I normally wear to job interviews and asked her to bring in the sides and the waist. I had just lost 15 lbs so those pants had become loose around my waist and too wide along my legs. Anyways, I go to put on the pants and she begins to pin the pant leg(yes, i mean leg, not legs). She only did one side! I thought that was weird. Maybe this is normal for tailors to do, I’m not sure. Anyways, she told me that it would be done the next day(Fri) and that she’ll call me to pick it up. Friday came and I did not receive a phone call, which did not bother me since I had a lot going on that day anyway – it was the July 4th weekend. When I did not get a call back from her by the following Tuesday, I became somewhat annoyed. Don’t tell someone, especially your client, that you’ll do something and then not do it! That’s just rude. Anyways, I called her and asked if my pants were ready and she said yes, it was. I immediately went to pick it up because I had a job interview the next day. To my horror, my pants were a complete mess! The seams were puckering on the sides of my legs where she tailored them in, the bottom was hemmed up too short(note: I didn’t even ask for it to be hemmed up! I liked the length), and the pant legs were not tailored straight and neat(it was curving inward at the bottom of my left leg). I pointed out the problems to her and all she kept saying was that it’s fine. She must have been blind to not to have seen what a terrible job she had done. I also mentioned that i did not want the bottom hemmed up and her response to that was that she had to do it in order to take in the sides. What the heck? You do not need to shorten the length in order to take in the sides! I know that much! I was furious! She did not even apologize or even offer to fix it for me. In the middle of all of this, she left the front desk to the back and continued sewing while I stood in front of the mirror in disbelief. There was no way I was going to pay for this. I told her that I was unsatisfied and that she could keep the pants. Why would I want it back? I will still have to find another tailor and see if they can undo her mess. I figured its cheaper to just go buy another pair than to do that. I wrote a note explaining my reason for refusing to pick up my pants, signed it, and left that place for good.

This is now my GO-TO place for any tailoring needs that I have(A LOTOFNEEDSACTUALLY). This place is somewhat by my house so the drive isn’t that bad. The downside to this is that it’s in Westminster Mall… Booooooooo. Parking is easy to find since this mall is so dead nowadays !(except the weekends). Anyways, I usually take my designer denims here to get them hemmed(never taken in to make them SKINNY… only because I have another tailoring place I go to specifically for that). The lady here is so nice and sweet. She’s capable and willing to do any tasks handed to her. And she’s pretty good at it too ! The results show. To show you how good she is… I came here my first time TRUSTING her with my WILLIAMRAST. ANDBAMMM ! They came out nicely hemmed even with the regular stitching… I don’t care much for«ORIGINALHEM» because no one looks at the bottom of my jeans anyways. It’s all about the BACK pockets ! OHBYTHEWAY ! I always request«same day service»…which is like 2 – 3 hrs. And you only have to pay like an additional 3 – 5 bucks for it. Which isn’t bad ATALL. I’m usually not a patient person so I have no problem w/the same day service ATALL. She does an impeccable job at hemming and taking shirts in as well. After my WILLIAMRAST, I gave her my BLANKDENIM, TRUERELIGIONS, TAVERNITI, ROCKANDREPUBLIC etc etc(you get the idea) so that she would hem them for me. AND she has never failed me. ANDFOR15 – 20BUCKSFOREACHJEANS ??? ANDFORSAMEDAYSERVICE ??? SHOOT that ain’t bad now is it. Plus I KNOW she’ll do a great job… instead of me going around to different tailors everytime and having a heart attack for 2 – 3 days… not sure whether or not my jeans will be ok… That’s the worst feeling ever ! Tommie Tailoring is my relief and savior.
