I have been getting my hair and nails done by Cindy Knight-Boies for 25 years … She is the manager at Salon Odyssey. It’s a wonderful place to go for all your needs.. . Cut, Color, Wax, Nails… Give Cindy a call she is a great stylist!!! P. S. The people that Kate K and Blondy V are talking about NOLONGER work at Salon Odyssey.

Like Odysseus or Ulysses, the trip to Saloon Odyssey was a long and harrowing journey(misspelling intended — they should serve hard liquor at this place to keep the hair-gone-bad customers from killing themselves). Seems the place is peppered with incompetents. The woman using the cell phone the entire time while doing my hair(I wouldn’t go so far as to call her a stylist) over-processed my perm. She’s the one at the far end of the saloon, uh salon. Ladies and Gents — BEWARE. There are lots of choices for hair — don’t go here!

TANYAOWENS advertises herself to be a stylist who is proficient at razor cuts. She’s not! She is talented at styling a dreadful cut to cover-up the huge holes she cut into my hair. I have a 2″ x 2″ spot on my crown were she took her thinning shears and cut a huge chunk right next to the scalp. She also removed so much of my volume with those stinking thinning shears that I left looking like a cancer patient going through radiation therapy. She took none of my remarks about how baby fine my hair already is too seriously… until she was near the end and saw how bald she had made me and then she exclaimed…“Wow, your hair really IS fine!” One side is almost an inch longer that the other. I have one pointy sideburn and the other is whacked-off. I was well on my way to growing it out… it was in a short bob and I only wanted some layers re-defined. It will take at least three months to recover a nice head of hair. When I complained Tanya chose to make untruthful remarks and personality attacks about a customer than apologize for the horrendous errors she made. I called her BUSINESS number on a Sunday evening — only once! I had planned on leaving a message at her place of BUSINESS. I was surprised that she answered with a standard«hello» and, I learned that her cell phone is her only phone. I apologized to her for calling her home number, but explained that it was the only number associated with her BUSINESS in her online ads. She said that was okay, and that she would hang-up and I should call back and leave a message… that she would call me back the following day to schedule an appointment… which we did and I was in her chair on Wednesday. I told her that it was difficult finding a stylist who is proficient at razor cuts. She said that most stylists don’t bother to advance to that level. Then she did two razor cuts in the back before she put down the razor and picked-up those thinning shears. She left a long thick chunk at the neckline and chopped-up, poorly defined little chunks on the round of my head(I did ask her to try to blend the two different sections and she refused)…to include the 2″ x 2″ bald spot on the right side of my crown. In fact, when she was finishing the style, she had to do a comb-over to hide the bald spot from me. And, for this I paid $ 40. And, because I paid $ 40 I have a right to complain. The stylist who attempted to correct it said, «It is a MULLET … like a student in the Adams City High School cosmetology class would have done back in 1983.» Yep! It WAS a MULLET, and not even a good MULLET. And, the only way he could fix it was to cut it to about 2″ all over. So I went from a bob that I was successfully growing-out to a short-short cut because there was no other way to fix the mess she made. Whoever passed her when she took her State Boards should be sanctioned.
