NOOOO… IT CLOSED… Does anyone know why they closed? Are they Relocating?.. BEST PLACE for ALL MEXICAN food. Theyir Tortillas, Chips, SALSAS… TACOS, CHEESES, Vegetables… CARNE ASADA, Beein going there for at least 10 years… Going to miss that place… :(Need Taco…

So bummed to see this place closed. Just was there to pick up some specialty Mexican items and place is closed.

Store is now CLOSED.
Too bad. The location was convenient and they carries a nice variety of products.

This location seems to have closed. Bummer! If this place is closed we lost a great MEXICAN neighborhood market!

Well… this is the end to an era. This has been my go to for great Mexican fare for years. Today that tradition ended. Closed. No mas. Most unfortunate was the sudden notice they gave employees, in short order, at a very unfortunate time of the year. Will will miss the salsas and those who made it such an experience.

I get great customer service from the male employees (meat department and from the employees at the back restaurant.)
but the female employees (cashiers) are just plain rude. They are just not polite, they don’t smile. It looks like they hate their job. Just very uncomfortable. They kinda just want to get you out of the store quickly. People just be polite it’s not our fault that you hate working at a small market.

Nice lil grocery store in the same small shopping center as Mel’s Dance Hall. Was grateful to discover it when I was in Mel’a Dance Hall for the former Cypress Twirlers used Square Dance clothing sale.
I was off to a square dancing event afterwards and needed to bring some snicky snacky foods as ny contribution to the refreshments. This small scale super market fit the bill. I was able to buy Oreos substitutes and a big bag of chip for under $ 10. Purrfect
Wouldn’t want to do my major food shopping here, but it’s great for buying non-​brand snack items.

I like this place because this is where I buy my queso cotija for Mexican style corn. The ladies that work the counter are very friendly!

Los peores tacos que eh comido en mi vida no tenian salsa picosa muy mal, pedí tacos de chales y estaban frios el agua desabrida:/

this supermarket has become my «go-​to» for mexican food night at the casa. key items on my grocery list usually include their:
— marinated skirt steak (on the saltier side in my opinion, but still very tasty)
— ceviche by the pound (shrimp, fish, octopus, and mixed)
— salsa by the pound (i recommend salsa ranchera & avocado salsa)
— cojita & crema by the pound
— homemade tortillas, chips, and tostadas
— pan dulce (great selection)
the store is clean and stocked with food items found in many latino cuisines. the prices are reasonable (especially on produce) and the store is easy to navigate. it’s also located near the 405 fwy entrance/​exit ;)

Pretty decent place for a Hispanic grocery store. Tried buying some traditional Mexican food items around Thanksgiving and they had a great selection. Had lunch there as well, menudo and tacos, which were delicious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It is a smaller store so selection is limited. But overall, prices, service, and selection were pretty good.

I come here for the Carnitas, great selection of Queso Fresco to go along with those carnitas! The Chile Lime tortilla chips are sooooo good here, they are a must.

OK, things have changed. I got to taste the tacos inside the food counter, and the corn tortillas here really changed my mind about corn tortillas. Their’s are really good, and afterwards I had no tummy issue. So my body like fresh corn tortillas; no digestive issues.
The jamaica drink has no sugar in it; I didn’t realize how tart and astringent it would be. Went home and added a bit of sugar syrup and it’s all ok.
The chicharones with meat is the best; they fry it everyday. Definitely got a lb of those; i won’t buy anywhere else.
They didn’t have the KLIM powdered whole milk I was looking for.

Okay so its a hole in the wall market but here are the things I like about it:
There is always either no line, or hardly anybody in line. so checkout is super fast
They have ocean spray all natural white grapefruit juice which is great when it comes to making drinks
They have a good selection of canned chilis and fresh chilis
I like alot of their produce.
Have a good taco bar in the back of the place where you can get a good carnitas burrito… or Barbacoa

Clean facilities, plenty of good affordable groceries, inside restaruant and juice bar. Fresh seafood and plenty of tortillas to choose from!

This is definitely my go-​to Mexican market!
Why?
(1) The fresh salsa bar: They have the best homemade salsa here! My boyfriend loves the red salsa but I am in LOVE with the green guacamole salsa. I brought it to a party once and everybody was raging about it! Just a pre-​warning though, it is pretty spicy — but worth every bite!
(2) Fresh Chips/​Tortillas: They make homemade tortilla and tortilla chips too. They’re both very delicious and you can taste the freshness in both! Their chips are my #1 favorite tortilla chips ever (See the picture I posted).
(3) Food Court: They even have a food court section inside the market! If you’re craving authentic Mexican food, you should check out the food court. I ordered the chicken tamales ($ 1.49 each) and I thought they were pretty good for a food court tamale. The masa in the tamale was a LOT better compared to the ones I’ve had in restaurants.
(4) Meat Section: They offer a big selection of different type of meat and seafood. The prices are pretty fair too, compared to other markets. I always just purchase the pre-​marinaded meat and cook it at home and it’s pretty delicious!
(5) Produce: I think the produce section isn’t as big compared to other markets, but they offer all the produce you would need if you’re having Mexican night. The prices are pretty good too, compared to other places.
Tip: I usually buy my eggs here because they’re usually always on sale and it’s the cheapest I can ever find eggs! Hopefully when you go, it’ll be on sale! :)

Tacos, did someone say tacos, woohoo I’m there! My brother decided to invite me over for some homemade tacos and beers, nuff said I’m there…
He purchased marinated chopped chicken and carne asada from this market. WOW, the meat was incredibly fresh and tender, definitely quality meat in comparison to other local OC markets. He also purchased their fresh homemade daily mini corn tortillas, their spicy green looking avocado salsa – AMAZEBALLS if you can handle HEAT, and cojita cheese.
$ 5/​LB of meat!
Everything was delicious! Next time I entertain taco Tuesday at my house, I am definitely purchasing my meats from this market!

I ate here at Ranchito Super Market recently with my buddy. He just moved into the area and I’ve been wanting to go here. It’s a Mexican super market with a taqueria inside. We came to the taqueria ready to eat. We got two asada tacos, one chicaron taco, cactus cooler, and chicken wings. All for less than 7 bucks. It’s not the best tacos but it was really good. We also got a half pound of wings for 2.50. So cheap! The prices are on point. Next time I’ll get the tamales

Everything us fresh and made at the store. The restaurant in the back if the market is amazing. They make their own tortillas.
If your a foodie its a must and now getting a fresh juice. So much to write but its time to eat.

Geez… I don’t get it. Did I come on a bad day? This is only the second bad review for this market! So many great reviews! My wife and I hated this market and will never return. I can honestly say I threw away 90% of what I purchased here. NOTHING had any flavor.
Fresh salsa the lady recommended for their homemade chips tasted like ketchup. Actually, I take that back. Ketchup has more flavor. Dumped it down the sink.
Guacamole which was turning brown and black had zero flavor… ZERO. Went down the sink.
Ceviche was HORRIBLE. Firm chewy fish. ZERO and I mean ZERO citrus flavor. How the eff can ceviche have zero citrus flavor??? Trashed.
Chips were flavorless and not even salted. Trash they went.
Carnitas were so greasy you could squeeze them and grease would pour out like squeezing a wet sponge. Ate them… * blush*.
Cheese tamales were so old the cheese was a dark orange brownish color and had the texture of rubber. Took a few bites… TRASHED.
Picadillo had a ½″ layer of fat floating on top. Ate a few bites… DUMPED.
Fresh mozzarella was caught up in the vortex of flavorlessness. Still in the fridge but I’m sure it will be going bye bye.
Albondigas which they serve on Tuesdays only per the giant sign was non existent since they decided not to make it on the Tuesday I went.
Chicken was the most fatty nasty crap I’ve ever had. My garbage disposal loved it.
Carne Asada was eye of round they fed thru a needler to tenderize it. This had the most flavor of anything I purchased which isn’t saying much. Ate it.
No point wasting any more energy on this review… you get the point. All the staff here was super friendly. Cashier was so excited we bought a couple of bottled Mexican cokes he whipped out a bottle opener and made us try them right there on the spot. Awkward and funny. I have to say those did kick ass and at least I know my garbage disposal works good.
