I came into this Pearle Vision, near 88th and Sheridan, looking for a new set of prescription glasses. After browsing through the frames I found a pair of Oakley’s that I really liked and decided that I would get them. However, when I told Kim that I had EyeMed insurance benefits she told me that they could not be applied to Oakley frames because Oakley, as a manufacturer, would not allow it for any of their frames, at ANY store. Sounded like a different tune than what I had been hearing from the other places with Oakley’s that I went frame shopping at. So I did the logical next step and called Oakley, LensCrafters, and every other Pearle Vision in the Denver area to see if this was the case. Oakley told me that they DONOT restrict any providers from allowing eye insurance benefits to be used on their frames, and LensCrafters and all the other Pearle Visions said that they DO allow insurance benefits to be used on all of their Oakley prescription frames. So, the reason this place gets one star and will not receive my business is because Kim either lied knowingly or was just misinformed about being able to use vision insurance benefits on Oakley prescription frames. If she would have told me that it was just their store policy I would have been okay with that. However, to make me almost believe that no optical store would accept vision benefits for Oakley frames was wrong. I wonder how many people with vision benefits have bought Oakley frames from this location thinking that Oakley, as a manufacturer, would not accept their vision benefits at any other store. So, if you want Oakley’s, do not go to this store location.

I came into the 88th and Sheridan location a couple of days ago to see if they could fix my daughter’s broken glasses.(originally purchased at America’s best) ELIA was so helpful(and seemed just as perplexed as I was when I told her America’s Best sent me there!) She assured me they could fix them and a couple of days later she called to let me know that they had indeed been repaired and she didn’t charge me a dime. Now THAT is customer service! Thank you Elia! We will be Pearle Vision customers from now on :)
