Excellent food and company was better. Happy Father’s day dad! Best bottomless bloody Mary’s ever!

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant while staying at the hotel. We thought we’d try this no expecting all that great of food. It was much be young our expectations. Food is fresh from local farmers and taste delicious. I just wished my belly could handle more food. We ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was so good. We looked forward to going back each time we are in the area.

Best Breakfast Burrito I have ever had! It was AWESOME! Nice green chili sauce. Not too hot with great eggs, and veggies. I would have rated them as a 5 star but the coffee was kind of rough.

This is not Mexican food. More like pseudo-gourmet American food with tortillas. I mean, they tried to make it all fancy looking, but the food was bland, and I’d go so far as to even say bad. Good atmosphere, but they really took a concept of Mexican and tried to get too gourmet with it. What’s with the inflated prices? I’m not sure why this place has such good reviews, because I’d rather drive somewhere else and get some REAL Mexican from a hole in the wall. So why all the good reviews? I imagine these are from a bunch of rich white folks who wouldn’t know real Mexican food from a taco bell.

So we went back here because the food was so good last time and it definitely didn’t disappoint this time either. This wasn’t an easy trip to get there as we drove all the way from Lone Tree. Upon our arrival, we were seated promptly and I checked in on Unilocal.I was offered the free chips and salsa sampler for checking in. I showed that to my waiter and he said no problem and marked it used on my phone. At the end of the night it took us about 20 minutes to get our bill. By the time our bill arrived, I had my card ready and just paid it. My mistake, I should have looked it over because I was charged $ 9 for the chips and salsa sampler, the same one I was supposed to get free. We decided to just pay it because it took so long to get our bill that we were tired and just wanted to leave. It was just a disappointment to be offered something and end up paying for it anyways and the time it took to get our bill. Will I go back, most likely but I won’t drive out of my way this time.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of this restaurant is LOUD!!! There was a convention at the hotel(lots of booze and lots of people) and the party spilled over into the restaurant and bar. The second thing that comes to mind is the small hidden door in the hotel that leads to this huge restaurant on the other side. The first thing I did was check in on Unilocal and I was treated to a free chips and salsa sampler(a $ 9 value) immediately after showing the waiter the instant coupon on my phone. Speaking of the waiter, he was very nice, but not the most attentive. His accent was very strong and the place was very loud, so I could not understand anything he said. I ended up yelling my order at him and hoped that he understood what I was saying. I had the mixed grill($ 25). Shrimp, steak & quail. The quail is amazing. The steak is very tender, which is a good thing since there were no knives available. The shrimp is also delicious. All of it was better than I expected. The experience lasted about 2 hours. By the time we were leaving the place had calmed down considerably. That’s why I don’t understand the waiter’s inattentiveness. It seemed like it took a long time to get drinks and the check. Oh well, for the most part it was a great experience. The loudness wasn’t something I imagine goes on all the time and the atmosphere is great. Everybody liked their food. See the pics!

I am very impressed with Kachina which is why I keep coming back! The Navajo tacos, Sonoran dog and the salsa trio. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable on the menu.

Tacos were amazing here. They use traditional Indian bread as the base which is super flavorful and fluffy. I had the vegetarian one and shrimp one, both exceptional.

I really love this place. I get the taco salad every time and it’s delicious and very filling. It’s a «broken salad» so it comes all separated and you can blend it together. The service is not always that fast so give yourself time for lunch or dinner. It’s great for big parties or just 2 people.

Great food eh service. It takes quite a long time to get food there. I went there 3 separate times and it always took a little longer then what you might expect so plan ahead. I went each time around 4pm or later so keep that in mind as well. Not sure what it would be like in lunch hour. I ordered the taco salad each time without bison/beans I ordered a grilled chicken breast instead in place of the bison. Well they charge you $ 4.00 for that substitute. Didn’t realize that the first night but oh well. Then I tried to use the free Unilocal checkin offer and they charged us for it. My friends ordered the guac and my husband and I got charged for that and then our friends got charged for the«free chips and salsa» beware of that! Again the four star rating is for the clean yummy food. Cheers to the chef!

Kachina was really good. We checked in and even received a complimentary chips and salsa. The food was good but I felt it was a little pricey for what we received. And the waiter forgot to remove the chips and salsa from our bill since we checked in, and we had to address that — but he was super nice and apologetic about it. We’d probably come back if we wanted to celebrate something, but it’s definitely not a place you just pop in for dinner for fun with friends.

Our favorite place! We live down the street and come here once a week. The food is fun, super delicious and fresh. The décor is beautiful and different. Brunch over the weekend is also highly recommended with bottomless mimosas and a Bloody Mary bar. We typically sit at the bar unless entertaining family. A must when in Westminster!

My family is visiting from NY and staying at the Westin where this place is located. This morning we had breakfast here — the huevos rancheros and eggs Benedict were both very delicious and authentic to southwestern cuisine. We came back for lunch. Their tacos are very unique and to die for! 2 of them will have you full but completely satisfied. My favorite is the Texan. Their margaritas are also great and the service was exceptional from beginning to end and from breakfast to drinks. Dennis at the bar knows how to treat patrons well and make them comfortable. The manager on duty Ann was also very attentive, on top of everything, but still friendly and welcoming as well as remembering who her patrons were when they came back later in the day. Definitely coming back and referring friends!

Every ingredient for a great restaurant except 1, consistent execution. I’m not one for writing negative reviews — it has to be something special. We stopped in a month ago and were pleasantly surprised — by the novelty of the food, the atmosphere, things others have mentioned. This time: — The rice had something green mixed in that smelled like a crucifer that was boiled too long — sulfur. — Cowboy beans? At a loss for an adjective. Clay’ish? — Pico de Gallo made with pale, pasty tomatoes that tasted only of onions. — The hot sauce had that vaguely sickly-sweet taste hinting that it was going bad. — The smokey orange sauce was not bad. — The too-puffy flatbread held a mess of overly salty something. Neither Sher nor I could finish our meal. I love most of the concepts, like listing the supporting farms, really great ideas in the menu, the upscale yet southwestern architecture… But the cooks just destroyed the meal($ 120 for 2). I can’t see a future where I come back.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this spot! HappyHour was action packed, and had a great vibe. Used our check in offer for free salsa sampler and chips — salsas were all good, fresh and really pretty. Tried the lamb albondigas and they were spicy and good. Again — pretty plate! Those Navaho tacos!!! Get out of town! I had beef because it felt like the most classic — at $ 4 and its size — it was really lovely! Great flavor and presentation! The prickly pear marg was delicious and $ 6 at happy hour. I will be back!

A hotel restaurant? With this many good ratings? I had to see it for myself, but after we ate here, I can definitely see what everyone’s talking about. We came for Saturday brunch, fairly hungry from the previous night’s exploits. Located right next to the Westin hotel lobby in Westminster, Kachina offers a Southwestern-inspired menu, complete with offerings like pork green chili and such. They were offering bottomless bloody marys, so we decided to go with it. However, the bloody mary garnish bar(with offerings like shrimp, bacon, celery, etc.) was only available on Sundays, which was not noted on the menu or by our waiter until after we ordered the bloody marys, despite being the same price with or without the garnishes. Not cool. Nonetheless, it wasn’t enough to ruin our experience, but it did irk us a little. Anyways, I got the not-so-aptly-named Indian burrito, which came with smoked bison, eggs, beans, cheese, and chipotle sauce. Dang, that was good. It really filled me up, and the smoked bison was definitely a more unique flavor than regular beef. I also tried the duck hash, which was pretty bomb. The duck flavor really came through, and the richness of the accompanying eggs was great. Our waiter was very friendly, although not the most attentive. He only came with the initial drinks, then kind of disappeared for the rest of the meal. We ended up getting our entrees before our starters, which was incredibly odd, but our appetizers came right after we motioned to the waitstaff. Prices are actually pretty reasonable, with my huge burrito at $ 12, and most the other brunch dishes at or around that price. Despite the hiccups, I really enjoyed the food at Kachina, and it was definitely worth the trip. This is more of a 3.5 star review, but since the food was spot on, I’ll round up. I would definitely come back for brunch, but I’d have to make sure to come on a Sunday, so as to take advantage of that bloody mary bar. You might get some spotty service, but I’d say the food is actually worth it.

We had a delicious Christmas Eve dinner here with my now soon-to-be in-laws and our two little ones. The décor and ambiance was perfect for a cozy little family holiday dinner. They seated us off in a corner, which made for a quiet meal, but not off where no one checked on us! Our waiter was attentive and great with the kids. Our food was fantastic and everyone(a vegan, a vegetarian, an eight year old, a three year old, and two omnivores) found something on the menu to try. And everyone loved their meals! The gauc sampler was so yummy and the free(with check-in on Unilocal) salsa sampler was fun to share. We had such a great meal and memorable time that we will definitely be back!

This place doesn’t really need my review, but it was so great I’m going to leave one anyway! I came in for happy hour with my toddler, her dad, and his dad. I walked to the host stand and she told me that seating was only in the bar area, which was no problem. I got a booster seat for my kid, but a highchair would definitely not work at the tall bar tables, so be aware of that. Actually, the hostess was the only aspect this experience that wasn’t so great. So was lethargic, didn’t give us enough menus(I had to go back and ask for more), and didn’t offer crayons which I also had to go back and ask for. I also noticed her sulking around through the dining room in jeans and a sweatshirt, she just didnt fit in here. But, whatever. The host took away from the awesome vibe and atmosphere of this beautiful restaurant. Drinks were fantastic! I got a marg and the guys got beers off of their solid draft line up. Food was wonderful!!! Free chips and salsa with the check were a delicious trio. My partner claimed the tomatio was the best salsa he’s ever had. I ordered a couple tacos that come on these amazing little clouds of heavenly deliciousness! The boy got a torta. Not traditionally pressed, but delicious none the less. I think my boyfriend has a crush on the chef. He kept saying how hipster places usually suck, that the food is too pretentious. But, he loved how the chef did this and that, blah blah, lol. Our waitress was a doll! So sweet! I didn’t get her name, but she’s pregnant. So hopefully the manager gives her props. The bar was filling up, but she always checked back and was attentive without being too much :-) We will definitely be back

Whoa, I was not expecting to be impressed by a restaurant in the Westin but Kachina knocked my socks off! We came here for four course Christmas brunch and it was fantastic. They served everything family style and whatever we couldn’t finish, they boxed up for us. Brownie points right there! They started with a variety of dips, shredded chicken and carnitas then the next round was white chicken chili and ensalada de bueno noche with pomegranate, grapefruit tossed in a citrus vinaigrette. The main course was grilled chicken, prime rib and trout with mashed potatoes, green beans, rice, corn and zucchini and by that point, all of us were so full and so sad not to be able to enjoy the main course. Dessert was a variety of tres leches cake, mini apple pie crisps and housemade mousse. I recommend Kachina for Christmas brunch or some cocktails, the white sangria is awesome! The Westin is absolutely gorgeous and had a nice Colorado mountain feel to it!
