Huge portions and my favorite chow mein place to go to. I think this business is way better than other chow mein places.

Love the food and HUGE portions. Very reasonably priced! The ladies who run it are so friendly and always make me smile whenever I come here. Love this place and usually wind up eating here a couple times a month. If you go, get the orange chicken — it’s great! Just remember to bring cash as this is a cash only establishment.

Food tastes great! Unbelievable large portions! Extremely affordable! Great customer service! One of the lady who works there(might be the owner) always remembers me and greets me. Since my second visit. AMAZING! My Favorites: Orange Chicken Broccoli Beef Hot n Sour soup Other dishes were good too. Just don’t remember the names.

A hankering for local Chinese led me here. This is probably the first time I felt let down by Unilocal. The employees here were nice but the general seating and space just seemed dirty. I mean, it’s a little bit of a hole-in-the-wall but I’ve been to plenty that still keep a level of cleanliness. Well, I ordered a side of BBQ Pork. Never again. The pork was probably the worst, cheapest cut, it was super fatty. Not the good kind of fatty that melts in your mouth but the rubbery kind that you can’t even chew. I’d say 80% of my order was inedible. It was so bad, it bent and broke my fork. I basically sat there looking for a piece I could enjoy and just grossed myself out and lost my appetite. I wouldn’t recommend this place or return. In fact, I’d rather drive out of the way to Hong Kong Express on Lewis and Chapman in Orange.+

This place is sooooo tasty! Their customer service is great and they’re not stingy at all with their portions. The food is always fresh and the veggies are never soggy. This place is cash only, but they have an ATM inside. I’ve tried other Chinese food restaurants in the area, and I have to say that this is the ABSOLUTEBEST!

Holy heck do they give you a lot of food for a great price! My only complaint is I ordered the cream cheese wontons and they tasted artificial and freezer burnt.

The amount of food they give you is massive! The food quality is okay, and I cannot really complain about the service. I ordered the choice of 3 item combo. I was craving some chow mein and I think the amount they gave me will last me 3 – 4 days. Great place for takeout!

Let’s be honest, we all have an occasional craving for good Chinese Food. Every neighborhood has a favorite. We Love this small Hong Kong Express for our take out food. Done that many times over the years and when the servers see us coming, immediately an order to the kitchen is dispatched to make Cream Cheese Wontons. My lovely wife always has one order of these delicious appetizers. For me it is all about the rice and noodles combination plates, wether it has one, two, or three side dishes. I just love to point and pick from so many different dishes to choose from. Pick from dishes that have chicken, or beef, or eggplant, or BBQ pork, or Tofu, and so many others. I often also get the Wonton or Hot and Sour soup to go. All the food is neatly presented and kept to stringent food service standards. The friendly servers keep a good eye out to make sure it is fresh and replenished often. We have seen how hard they work to make the customer happy with their meals. Today it is a mound of stir fried Noodles, no fried rice, with sides of sweet Orange Chicken and strips of Beef with Broccoli. The standard foam to go container was filled to the brim which they always do. The picture shows we had already started eating this deliciously decadent mix of good wok fried food and there is enough for seconds. We can’t complain about the service nor the amount of food we get for the money. This place has that magical way of getting us to come back for more.

Ok. I’m a fan. I came here because my cousin recommenced the place for the portion. YESTHEYAREHUGEPORTIONS. I ate it for 3 days and it was more delicious as the days went on, like togo Chinese food tends to do. I asked for half and half fried rice and noodles. As she loaded the fried rice, I thought there was no way she could fit chow mein but she continued to pile it on. Then she piled on the Kung Pao(which was ok). She continued to top it off with Chinese BBQ pork(fatty, but pretty good). I’m going to go back for those weeks where I’m too lazy to cook. I think this place is cash only.

This is the only place my husband and I ever go for Chinese food and we live in Anaheim! The mountain of food they give you for under $ 10 is pretty amazing. The staff is friendly. They greet you when walk in and the place is pretty clean. Their variety of sides is pretty good. The flavor of the food just hits you right in the spot. It’s not too salty and it’s not bland either. We’ve been going here since 8th grade and… We’re now in our mid 20’s. This place is definitely worth the drive

The only place I go for Chinese food to go!!! Food is delicious, service is on point for a to go spot(they always remember me and my family and are always happy and quick to serve) AND of course it’s CHEAPGOODEATS: D $ 7.99 for a combo plate with your choice of chow mein/fried rice and 2 items can fill up 3 hungry people!!! The amount of food they can put it in those boxes are crazy to me. They definitely do not skimp on you :) Expect to have leftovers and be in a food coma after indulging.

I love this place! I have been eating here since they opened, when I was like 12 or something. Same owners; they still remember me and I’m now 31! Great staff and of course awesome food and large portions! I think most Chinese food places leave their food out all day long, and you can tell the difference. This place is always bringing out fresh food — you can even wait for a new batch if you are the kind of person that wants to literally see them bring out the newest dish — if you ask. They are by far the best«express» Chinese food in OC. I have even had other Hong Kong Express from other locations, and they are nowhere near as good. If you don’t live a few minutes away, it is still worth the drive. The food travels well too — doesn’t get ruined by taking it back home. They have the best Orange Chicken ever! Wonderful Eggrolls and Won Tons. BBQ Pork is perfect! They use very very fresh veggies. My wife and I crave this place and drive from Buena Park to eat it! They close around 9PM and are still bringing out fresh food up until closing. Love it! 5 stars for sure!

Hands down the best Chinese food to-go place. People work there are extremely friendly. The place looks clean. Food always taste amazing. Especially like the spicy chicken and orange chicken. The portion(combos) are gigantic! They are very generous with how much food they give you. It makes you feel like you are getting back every penny you paid. You’ll get quality and quantity!

Whenever I’m in the mood for some quick Chinese food, this place is my go to. Not to mention it’s close to home so that of course is a plus. Parking is generally easy considering how many other business are in this shopping center. I usually go for a one item combo and it lasts me about two or three days. Yes, that’s how large the portions are. A truly ridiculous amount of food for a great price. I believe it is between $ 6 and $ 7. The ladies that work here a friendly for the most part. The chow mein is pretty good because I’ve been to a few places where it is quite the opposite. I always get orange chicken because it’s my favorite. Anyway if you’re looking to fill up for a few days then look no further!

Their BBQ pork does not disappoint. One 2-item combo feeds 2 – 3 people because they pack in so much food in one box! If you’re hungry, come here! You’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

Hong Kong Express leaves you with a packed styrofoam container that can feed a small army. I’m not kidding. I ordered the 2 item combo(with fried rice and chow mein) and the container was overflowing with food. It couldn’t even close. I went for dinner but I had enough food for breakfast and lunch the next day.(Not my most healthy of food choices, but whatevs.) The food was what you would typically expect for fast food Chinese. Nothing to rave about, but it was very tasty. You can’t go wrong with how cheap it is for the amount you get. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is they ONLYACCEPTCASH. Just be forewarned.

This place is the definition of a «greasy spoon» type of Chinese food. It seems every city has a place called Hong Kong express! And if you are INTHEMOOD for this kind of food, this is the perfect place to go!!! HKE has the elements of a cheap Chinese food place– The portions are beyond massive, the food is as good as it could be, and you get your food fast!!! We got orange chicken, broccoli beef, and some egg rolls– The egg rolls were awful and slightly undercooked, but again I spent 7 bucks for a mountain of food so who cares lol. The other food rocked, so again check out HKE if you are in the mood!!! I’ll go back next year probably lol.
