Chi’s Hair Salon

Came in on a Saturday with my mom. It is close to my mom’s place & liked the Unilocal reviews I saw. About 7 other people waiting, yet the stylists moved efficiently & quickly.
Kevin was my stylist. He cut my hair first before shampoo (which was different than I usually get). Yet it was worth the wait! Kevin did a good scalp massage while cleaning my hair. Then when he dried it, he massaged my neck & scalp.
Then he blow dried & styled my hair. Kevin was fast yet thorough & checked his work to make sure my cut was even. My new style looked good!

My first time got haircut at the salon. I gave 5 Stars for Henry, he did amazing job on my haircut, I love it. the price is very affordable. Thank you sooooo much Henry. you are the best!

I read the reviews on Unilocal and saw this place has decent rating plus it’s cheap so I gave it a try. Chi was my hair stylist. When she combed my hair, it was so hurtful. She combed my hair quickly and very forceful. The comb brittles kept touching my scalp. It felt like she was trying to scrape something off my scalp. My head and hair kept falling back because she kept pulling my hair. She wasn’t gentle. She wasn’t friendly either. I should’ve speak up and say something but I just bare with the pain since the price was cheap. The layers that she did wasn’t even. It didn’t turn out good. Since the price is cheap, I guess you get what you pay for. Even tho it’s cheap, I still expect to have a decent haircut with positive experience. Just because it’s cheap, doesn’t mean she can butcher my hair and torture my head. I will never go back to this place!

This place is so inexpensive! I got a cut and color for $ 30 flat and I left a $ 10 tip. Overall, it was a good experience. There was a man greeting guests at the door and offering tea, water, and a place to sit. He was very friendly. My stylist was Hung. Very friendly and made conversation during the color, cut, and shampoo. A little bit rough with the hair and there was a bit of tugging and yanking, but nothing painful. For the value and decent service, I’ll continue to get my hair done here.

I didn’t get my hair cut here but the service was so nice I just had to leave a review for this salon. I came here because I was with a friend that needed his hair cut on Labor day weekend. The salon is small, but seems busy and has a good amount of guests. We waited about 10 minutes. The guy cutting my friend’s hair was very quick and precise. I saw him cutting a girl’s hair very nicely too.
While waiting, a man that seems like the owner made sure we were comfortable. He was offering us water/​tea/​coffee. I thought it was so sweet. He also was interacting with each guest and being extremely friendly and outgoing. Definitely worth giving a try if you’re in the area because in the amount of time I was there, I saw every guest leave happy and enjoyed their experience.

Chi has a greatly skilled hand and does men’s hair just fabulously! So glad i go to her rather then thouse overpriced salons in the valley.

This place is REAALLLY cheap. I paid $ 10 for a haircut, and I usually pay around $ 20 for one. The reason why I gave this place a 4 star is that my haircut took way too long. My haircut took 2 hours, and I get that perfection takes awhile, but two hours is way too long. The guy did a pretty decent job with my hair, not amazing but not terrible. I don’t know if they take appointments since I did a walk in. My sister came here on a Saturday and she waited for a long time and just left and found another hair place that’s in the same plaza next to the supermarket for $ 10 too with no line. I recommend going to that place if chi is too busy; I think the place is called hair to face. Also, I speak no Vietnamese and the people at chi understood what I was saying. I recommend bringing pictures of what hairstyle you want and be as specific as you can. I didn’t ask for layers and he gave me layers which I didn’t like but what can you do about it.
TL;DR: I recommend this place since it’s cheap since the haircut isn’t amazing but isn’t terrible. Also, be as specific as you can be. They know a bit of English so this place is great if you can’t speak Vietnamese.

this was one of those unassuming place one finds by accident. one saturday, we found ourselves strolling in the area and ended up resting on the chairs placed outside the shop. after a few minutes, the owner comes out in a hurry. my immediate thought was he was going to ask us to leave and say the usual lind about the area being for customers only. instead, he wanted to know is there is anything he can offer us. he began by offering us water and other things we may need to keep us comfortable. on that warm morning.

The lady working on my hair was too busy talking to other lady and did not notice some parts of my hair didn’t get washed but the owner was courteous even offering cold water or hot tea so the visit here was ok. I have been here before and got excellent service and haircut so I shall return.

My mom led me to Chi and I was surprised by the full treatment here. I loved the shampoo, cut and style. She’s really quick and did a great job in giving me volume. Thank you Chi! I’ve found a new hairdresser, finally!

My experience at chi’s gets better and better. Like I said, I followed phuoc when she moved over from another place. She is very good. She understands enough English to know what I need. She’s very good. I was in yesterday. And while waiting for phuoc I was talking to Sean, the owner. super Guy.always offers you coffee or tea. we were talking about an artichoke tea my wife and I had had in Vietnam. I didn’t know where to find it. Talked some more about other things. Easy guy to talk to. So, I’m in the chair getting my hair cut, and Sean walks in. pow! He places two boxes of what else… artichoke tea on the counter in front of me.incredible.the guy went to the supermarket and purchased this tea that I couldn’t even find, and tells me that’s its a gift from the salon. I couldn’t believe it. These people have a gift of making you feel special. And I saw it with the other customers also. Lots of happy people walking in and out of there. And the prices for a haircut top it off. I gush, because this place really is a gem. In a competitive area, this place is the best. Skilled employees, low prices happy customers, great parking. what else could you ask for?

Great customer service from this owner run store. Newly remodeled. Needs better time efficiency and more staffing. Better hair products would round off a great experience!

I came to Chi’s hair salon because of a recommendation from a friend. At first I was hesitant because i am very picky about how i like my hair cut but right when i walked in i was welcomed and the wait was not long at all. Chi was very good with following my directions and i left happy with my haircut, which usually doesn’t happen. I would most definitely come here again and i recommend this shop for a precise hair cut.
