Cynthia was our waitress here today for lunch, she was amazing! We appreciate her hard working ethics and great personality! The food was great too!

I give this establishment a one star because it is the lowest I’m allowed. This is another one of these Americanized semi Mexican chain restaurants. I ordered what was termed enchilada suita with no onion, apparently this small request was impossible because not only was my meal coated in onion on top but stuffed to the max on the inside. Mistake, no way there was at least 2 pounds of onion on my dish. Clearly this was done on purpose. Clearly On the Border Westland wants nothing to do with The Real Tim G’s patronage. On the plus side the chips and salsa were plentiful and my wife’s mango chicken salad was described as awesome. Also the nacho large enough for two but probably just about right for a hungry man with a solid appetite. In summary keep driving unfit for human digestion.

Great service and food. The server kept my drinks filled and tortilla’s coming to the table. Great tasting food. I’ll return!

This is the third resto to occupy this building, I wonder how long this place will last? The food is a typical westernized Mexican streetfood. Nothing really special I ordered a glass of house margarita for $ 3 regular size, the server offered me a shot more of tequila for a $ 1 more. That tequila must be watered down version. It has no effect on me. Then when I received the bill, they charge me the regular price of $ 5.99 for the house margarita. That was tricky. We are being rushed, we are still in the middle of our meal and the server already delivered the bill to our table. Just wondering how long this place will last?

Everything was okay not great but just okay. Guacamole was kinda bland so they brought me 3 alarm peppers. It helped but was still not great. I ordered enchiladas and they were good. It came with a side of cilantro lime rice which had no lime taste. I added some lime juice and it was okay not great. There was nothing I did not like but also nothing I would come back for. The service, however, was very good which still made for a pleasant experience.

Wasn’t impressed, went during happy hour and there was only one flavor margarita available, if you want strawberry, be prepared to pay extra. Barely tasted the tequila, you could tell it was off brand. The food was luke warm, rice under done and the black beans were soupy. We had a large party(10) and food came at different times. Doubt a return visit will happen.

Not impressed. Food was good… Not great. Service was not good. Had to ask for dressing for the salad which turned out to be really, really watered down– asked for a side of sour cream, never got it. Never got refills on pop and waited for at least 15 mins for the check to come. Not to mention it was a Wednesday night and it wasn’t jam packed by any means. I don’t ask for a lot when dining out but a refill on my soda would be nice:) Tables around us seemed to be left dirty for extremely long time.

I was so happy to see that they were opening up another location other than the main one in Allen Park. They were pretty busy for a Tuesday following Super Bowl Sunday. There was a lot of energy inside of the restaurant. I’d like to say thank you to our server whose name is Brandon. He did an excellent job! It was good to see a new restaurant in place of the old Westland Charhouse. The energy was a lot different and more vibrant. All of the food was good. And the service was excellent to go with it. We will be back again.

Pretty good I must admit. I used to go to the Novi one all the time. But the food stopped tasting good and the meat seemed like cheap pieces. To my surprise the Westland one was very good. We had a waitress who was super nice. She look like the girl from vampire diaries. The table side guacamole was very good and chips to! Check it out!

Visited 1−26−16 for 2nd time. It was taco Tuesday. I enjoyed the soft tacos better than the hard and the beef much better than the chicken. I’m sure that those who like spicy foods would love the chicken but the four of us on this night left with flaming mouths. We did mention to management and all she could offer was that it was purchased that way, there wasn’t anything they could do as it isn’t made in their kitchen. Unfortunately we did get wet. The server, Julie, presented herself as nervous and when she delivered drinks to my wife and daughter two of the three glasses landed safely. The third landed down the side of my daughter, my grandson and the table making the three of us scrambling to protect our phones. She was good about refilling glasses and chips but when I was time to go it took over 15 minutes to cash out. This I find unacceptable.

They opened months ago and I wanted to give them a try. Got seated right away to a dirty table, had to wait for the hostess to go grab a towel to clean it. Ok not a problem, where’s our server? He shows up 10 minutes later, ok no biggie, we ordered everything we wanted. Overall food was ok, not hot but warm, well I’m not waiting to send this back. Ordered the ultimate fajitas that consist of all four meats, shrimp, chicken, beef and pork, ok so if it’s the ultimate, why did I get only three flour tortillas. Asked him for more and I got three more, nice and hot after about 15 minutes waiting for them, my already warm food will only get colder. Server seemed fragile, I was afraid that if I asked him for a ice tea refill or more chips and salsa that he might cry. He must of been very new or he has never served in his life. The place is loaded with high schoolers, can’t say I saw anyone over 18 working there! Hope they filled out a minor break log! We get the bill and those 15 minutes tortillas charge was on the bill, in a way it wasn’t a biggie but kind of was. First off, tell the guests there is a charge for more and secondly to wait 15 minutes to my already getting cold fajitas, that’s what got me. Will I be back, who knows but bring your own flour tortillas if you’re ordering the«Ultimate Fajitas».

We were happily greeted as soon as we walked into the door. We had hot chips and salsa set onto our table the moment we sat down. Our waitress, Arjanah, arrived at our table moments later to take our drink orders. She was very intuitive. Our sodas were never empty. I ordered the chicken Bourdurrito, which was delicious! My wife had the Tres Enchiladas with spinach and mushrooms. I tried those too. Awesome! Our food was brought to our table, nice and hot. Our chips & salsa were refilled whenever we were low. All the staff we encountered were very, very pleasant. We even took time out to speak with a manager,(a young lady, I didn’t catch her name) to let her know how happy we were with our visit. Great job! Great atmosphere too!

Service is horrible. The manager tried to make things better but I think they need some more experienced servers. Maybe cause they just opened? Hopefully it will be better next time.

I stopped in with my boyfriend for a late lunch/early dinner. The décor is cute, and they seemed pretty busy at the time. When we were first seated it took a while for a server to get our drink orders, but when he did show up he was very pleasant. I get the impression that since the restaurant just opened, they’re still working out kinks. I ordered the chicken street-style tacos, companion ordered the steak fajitas. Fajitas were awesome, good flavor and the flour tortillas were super soft and pillowy. My tacos on the other hand, came to the table cold and not very tasty. Server immediately swapped my order for a new one and even took it off of the bill. The fresh order of tacos was alright, the chicken was decent but the corn tortillas were not very good. Dry and crumbly. The best part of the meal was the cilantro lime rice. So good. Overall, the great service definitely made the meal worth it and I will definitely be back. I just won’t be ordering anything with a corn tortilla.
