American Dental Centers

Up until the last month or so, this office would have scored a consistent 3 stars the entire time I have been going there over the last 8 years — yes, they are a mass dentist office but with the right dentist in the office they were efficient, reasonably priced and the front office staff was friendly and helpful.
They have in the last month pushed me to my limits (possibly as a part of selling their practice to another conglomerate?) was scheduled for an emergency appt last week and when I arrived at the office they did not have me down (even after I received email confirmation) I was told they had me down for a regular cleaning later that week. They were able to squeeze me in and take care of the issue and scheduled me for a follow up and cleaning in a week. Over the weekend I get a voicemail that they had me down at the wrong location and could I go to Elyria or would I like to reschedule — and when I called to confirm that I could go to Elyria I was told they needed to cancel my appt. entirely and rescheduled or another day. We’ll see how it goes at rescheduled appt and will update this review, but I am officially looking for a new dentist regardless.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
If they want to keep customers, they are going to have to get their act together. There are far too many options out there…

Knew someone who worked several years there and they were very unhappy how patients were treated.

Don’t go here. A total ripoff. Only went here because I had a Groupon. They will try and force unnecessary procedures on you. Don’t let them do it or better yet, don’t go. Very aggressive in there sales pitch. They try and make you feel bad. It was not just me. I heard them in the next chair doing the same thing to another customer. I don’t know if the customer they fell for it. Not friendly at all Do yourself a favor and find a dentist that is not part of a chain or conglomerate.

Horrible service, go to another dentist. I have never felt more like a mass production body in my life. They were in such a hurry to get me out the door. When I’m paying somebody $ 1000 an hour for dental work, I should be treated like royalty not like some random zeros added to the end of their bank account.
