Roosters Men’s Grooming Center

I have been to Roosters about 5 times and it is my favorite place to get a haircut. The place is just everything that I look for; professional, classy, gentlemanly, comfortable, relaxing, refreshing. Just a spectacular establishment. I rarely give reviews, but this time around was the best hair cut experience I have ever had and felt like it was a about time I reviewed this place! John was nothing short of brilliant. He made me feel like a million bucks and was just truly great at what he does. He joked about me losing my razor and polished my facial hair with an excellent straight-​razor shave. He took my vague explanation of what style I wanted and delivered it perfectly. His attention to detail is exactly what you look for in a barber. I highly recommend Roosters for any gentleman looking for the best haircut experience!

This place is a butcher shop. I had been going here since it opened. On Saturday took my son in for a cut because he had school photos the upcoming week and we wanted him to look sharp. The had appointments at the same time. I told his barber Jamal (who turns out that it was his second day cutting hair) to trim and taper the sides and back. When they spun my chair around I saw that Jamal had given him a crew cut. The manager said she was sorry and Jamal had had a mistake. Unreal! I asked to speak to the owner. The manager called the owner but she REFUSED to speak with me. Terrible customer service and she owns the Roosters in Dublin too. FYI, while this was going on, another customer returned stating his stylist had gotten distracted while cutting his hair and forgot to cut one side. His wife noticed and sent him back. Wow! Get your hair cut there at your own risk!

I live within walking distance to two barbers and both of them provide haircuts for half the cost, but I drive 20 minutes to get the quality cut and service that Roosters’ and John, in particular, provide. It’s worth the distance and the money!

This is the best of the best Joseph is a great barber he is very detail oriented and his work is the best ever. If you need a hair cut or shave Joseph is your go to guy. They do a good job with customer service.

Best place to get your hair cut! I used to go to Sports Clips, but I think they’re on a timer per person method… And my hair cuts always felt rushed… and quite frankly, that pissed me off. I can cut my own hair perfectly fine, so if it doesn’t look better than what I can do, I won’t go back… Well, I’ve come back to Roosters every two/​three weeks for about a year now. Have had my hair cut from Brittany, Shannon and today, Joseph… And all provided me with AWESOME haircuts! Today, not only did Joseph shine my shoes, which was totally awesome, but they wrapped up two Twizzlers for my daughter; she usually goes with me and likes Twizzlers. Oh, and I love that they serve you a cold beverage when you arrive… It’s those nice little extra touches that are great! They really take their time — I’m a big fan of quality over speed, which will ultimately keeps me coming back. They’re focused on making you look great before you leave and I always feel like every haircut is well worth the money spent. Additionally, my wife typically comments on how nice my hair looks afterward and she’s very difficult to impress. Who doesn’t want to look nice for their wife? Joseph did my hair today and it looks totally flippin’ awesome!!!

I have experienced two visits now at Roosters Barber Shop at Polaris. So far John has made me feel welcome during both visits. I like the fact that John listens to my requirements and portrays a nice since of professionalism. John and I both understand my hair is a work in progress and he has been very patient with me. I also like the fact that I can schedule online as well, that is a nice convenience for a busy professional.

This is more of a compliment then a review but I just wanted to let the owners at Roosters know that they have one hell of a barber in John. I have been getting my hair cut around Columbus for over forty five years and John is one of the best barbers that I have ever had! He is a professional that is very talented in his trade and I always enjoy my appointments with him. You can be assured as long as John is operating a chair in the grooming center I will always be back!

The review does not reflect the quality of the work, the quality if the staff (Rhonda rocks) or the cleanliness of the location. This is a critique of the owner and his approach to his shop.
I had made an appointment for a 3pm haircut on a Saturday. I arrived a few minutes early and told Rhonda that I was the 3pm. Rhonda had a client in the chair and apologized that she was running behind. I immediately noticed that Rhonda was uncomfortable when I walked in for my appointment.
Ultimately, my 3:00m appointment turned I to a 3:30 appointment. But Rhonda is great and I needed me hair cut so I stayed.
Now, I should add that, as I was waiting, I noticed a set of parents making a fuss over their teenage son who was getting his hair cut by another stylist. Which seems weird … The kid is clearly at or around driving age so a haircut should not be something we bring the family out for.
Let’s fast forward — so I’m talking with Rhonda about bands as she’s cutting my hair when I noticed that family was till there and more kids had arrived. In asking Rhonda about why there was a group treating the place as a living room it all made sense why my appointment was way late.
Apparently the owner had friends in town from Wisconsin and granted free service to the teenage son of his out of town friend. Now I have no issue with that, I’d do the same.
But to do it when paying customers are coming by with appointments, forcing us to just deal with is and hope our schedule allow for it … Unacceptable. Basically, all of us who had appointments that afternoon had to wait while the owner played host.
In 2014, a good barber shop is a commodity. What keeps us coming back is excellent customer service. Rhonda provides it in spades, but unfortunately the owner is too busy showing off his toy to realize who actually pays his bills. This was my last time visiting Roosters.

This is a professional modern place, and the hair stylists/​barbers seem to be very detailed oriented and precise with their work. My son, who is 7 years old, got his hair cut here. I’ve been to many places in Columbus, & have had a lot of crappy cuts that I say «Oh well, it’ll grow out.» but this place did a great job. Even though i prefer his hair a bit shorter, I will definitely go back in a couple of weeks and just be more persistent on which guard to use.
The only reason why I did not rate 5 stars is because I came in 15 minutes early, had to wait an additional 15 minutes after my appt. time (overall 30 min wait, yikes!) & a walk-​in came in after and left before me. Next time, I’ll just call ahead ask for the next available person instead of scheduling online so I can get in more efficiently.

I visited Ohio last week for the Ohio Star Ball. As a competitive ballroom dancer, a proper haircut is critical. I stopped in for the Roosters Club Cut. Jessica was excellent. She has the eye of an artist and the precision of a surgeon. In addition to providing sparkling conversation with a smile.
I was so pleased that I decided to add the shave. And let’s just say I now understand what the big fuss is about spa days. It was, in a word, heavenly. Roosters Westerville has my unhesitating recommendation, and I will definitely be returning to them when I compete next year.

Update 11÷14÷13 — After speaking with Tom and Lisa, the owners of this location, I was informed of their guarantee on all of their services, and invited back to get my haircut fixed. I have to say, it was a completely different experience. Jessica was GREAT. She listened not only to how I liked to have my hair cut but the problems with my hair, and then came up with a few suggestions to make things even better. The owners told me they want their guests to not only get the haircut they come in wanting, but to get something better. That happened today. I’m very glad to say I will back to see Jessica again. Way to go Roosters!

I can honestly say that I’ve tried every salon in Northern Columbus for a good men’s cut. Everywhere let me down, but Roosters is amazing. The environment is very «guy friendly», but it’s so much more than that. I have loved my hair cuts and the service is just simply something I never get anywhere else. Oh, and the Shaves are AMAZING. Trust me!

Outstanding! The staff is friendly and the environment is just right. The décor is much nicer than a barber shop but without the pretentious feel of a salon. Many different services and their signature hair cut at $ 28 includes shampoo and cut. Ask for Rhonda. She is a real pro!
