Junior’s Hero Shop

I love Junior and the staff here. He really takes a lot of pride in his cooking and everything always comes out great. If there is something you don’t see and you want just ask Junior. He can almost always make it for you.

Very nice layout, staff, quick service, and you can make your own coffee. This is a nice place. Egg sandwich and iced coffee was good quality.

If you don’t live/​work around here, then it’s unlikely you’ll spot it. I call it «the oasis of New Cassel» given the surrounding industrial/​construction businesses and the never absent dust cloud from the concrete trucks passing by Main street. Not your typical coffee-​and-​bagel stop, this a funky, friendly and homey deli that opened sometime last year. A night and day difference from the Market Street Deli that used to be here (what a piece of junk, yuck!!)
I work nearby and usually come here for breakfast or lunch. They have hot food all day long until around 3pm and they’re closed on weekends.
The service is the best part about this place. They have a cool décor with Americana styled signs on the walls and a TV with news on while you wait for your food. Price for breakfast will go around $ 6-​$ 9 depending on what you get of course and lunch will be somewhere around $ 7-​$ 10.
Now onto the food: The servers/​cooks truly know their stuff. If you aren’t sure about what to get they’ll make the perfect suggestions (maybe because they don’t have time to wait while you drool around) and sometimes even surprise you. You will come into this place wanting a bacon-​egg-​and cheese and walk out with a platter of fresh strawberries, breakfast wraps and sausages.
Nutella, peanut butter, cream cheese, jelly, you name it. They’ll make you anything without hesitating. They have a great selection of cold salads as well (I tried them all and yes, they’re fresh) and smaller compliments such as cookies, brownies, cupcakes and muffins at the counter.
For lunch, they have daily dishes that change EVERYDAY. You can even order your cheeseburger with waffle fries instead. This is one of the few delicatessens where I recommend people to order food other than what’s on the menu board. You will not be disappointed and yes, they take cards.
The ONLY two things I wish they had are smoked salmon and fresh squeezed OJ. Other than that, DEFINITELY try this place out.
