Simple and filling. Kids were happy with their meals. The chips are store bought, not fresh. The salsa tasted like jarred Pace.

I love this place! We call it healthy Mexican at our house. The employees are always smiling and attentive. The food is amazing. They have the best daily specials. Thursday’s Burrito is the ranchero chicken. It is my favorite with rice, beans, chicken in a ranchero sauce, a little cheese and yummy pico! You have to stop by. The only thing that is disappointing to me is that being a takeout joint when I order nachos they are soggy by the time I get home and when I ask for the chips and toppings to be separate I have been told several times that they are not allowed to do that. So if you don’t like soggy chips, stick to the other choices or eat your nachos out on their patio.

I got food poisoning from a plain, cheese quesadilla. Didn’t know that this is possible, but since then, I’ve steered clear.

Just what I was looking for. An quick, inexpensive lunch spot that isn’t one of those huge national chains. They often have a «burrito of the day» deal. There are a few seats inside and a few tables outside. I don’t live near Westbrook, but this has become my lunch spot when driving by on I-95.

I ate there yesterday for a quick lunch. So o o disappointing and tasteless. Pleasant employees and service was very fast. It was a beautiful day to sit outside and thus ends the good report. I had the enchiladas Bland, tasteless. The bean enchilada was only beans, no cheese and no taste. It was like they opened a can of black beans and spooned some in the tortilla. Same with the chicken one. Just cubed chicken. The sauce had small amount of cheese and a little red sauce. I can honestly say this was the absolute worst Mexican food I have ever had!

We eat here weekly. The food is always fresh, and whole vegetables – simple yet flavorful. It’s the healthiest Mexican food you’ll find! Don’t expect Taco Bell. This is not grody or «Americanized” – you can add as much picante as you want. I’d recommend any of the burritos, the vegetarian chili is great, and the quesadillas are great. You always can customize – add mangos, fresh pork, with or without sauce… etc. Never heavy or greasy. And they have the real sugar Mexican Coca-Cola! Their guacamole is excellent, too. Don’t trust the low reviews(esp. if they can’t spell). The folks here are warm and friendly, and the food is the real deal. *Very* clean place, too.

Pretty bland mex. I seem to remember that the one in Durham was better but this was not. I had a beef and bean burrito that was on a par with something you get at any of the Americanized Mexican food chains. Lots of rice, smathering of beans and a little meat and no spice to speak of. My wife had a salad that was also bland and uninteresting. The young ladies taking our order were struggling with the cash register making the whole experience one that felt totally lacking. I’d keep driving if I’m looking for a taco next time.

The Whole Enchilada is a 100% yum! I seriously can’t get enough of this place! I stop into TWE for lunch or dinner whenever possible! They have super fast service! I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for my food. And the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. When I first started coming here, I wasn’t sure what to get and they had great suggestions! The food is woah amazing! It just tastes so… real! You can really tell that all of the ingredients are fresh! Bottom line: Amazing food at a great value! Great service. Nice location, great décor. Clean restrooms and overall restaurant.

Fresh ingredients, friendly service and plenty of items on the menu. Plan to take out your food since there is little space to eat inside or on the picnic tables.

Horrable, there was hair in my good and the tacos didn’t taste like tacos. The chesse tasted like plastic.

I really like this place because it is fresh and healthy, but it is crazily over-priced. And the food can be bland. It’s a love-hate relationship for me.

I think this place is great, but I don’t love everything on their menu. Their food is very, very fresh, and you pay for that, but their specials are easier on the wallet. They have soup and burrito combos that are very reasonably priced, albeit the burrito shrinks in size a bit. Fair enough. I am not thrilled with their salads, they are sparse, but their regular sized burritos, their spicy turkey chili(all their chilis) are excellent, their soups are delicious and i recently tried a spinach and cheese quesadilla that was just AMAZING!!! Their green and red self serve sauces will perk up any«bland» burrito choice that you make, and they are delicious sauces. I definitely recommend this place and I’ve tried their Guilford location, which is just as good.

If I’m craving Mexican, but want something healthy, I stop here. The quesadillas, burritos and nachos are very good. I like the spicy chicken and ground beef. Everything is steamed, light cheese, no oil, real beans, fresh and healthy.

We decided to try this place despite some of the bad reviews. Unfortunately, they were right. We purchased Veggie Burritos. They did not have any taste. Not even the rice, which was tasteless and undercooked. The food was completely bland. As much as I hate to say this, Taco Bell’s Burritos have more taste when compared against this place. Also, do not mistake this location as a Restaurant. The only place to sit is against the wall on a small bar like counter. This is purely for take out.

Horrendous. I ordered a spicy chicken burrito. If you like grade d chicken, yellow rice, old lettuce, and no cheese or spice… then I can see how you’d enjoy. The chips were stale and they use canned salsa. The Salsa Verde was the only decent thing I tried.

Just what I was looking for… a simple, inexpensive, quick, convenient, and fulfilling meal. I had a spinach burrito to go, that was it. I’d go back. The burrito was stuffed with spinach, rice, black beans, tomato, lettuce, jack cheese and pico de gallo. I used some of the vinegar based chili sauce which added some great flavor to the burrito. Big serving so I ate half and saved the other for later. The tortilla was fresh and the ingredients were too. Among the more standard Americanized Mexican burrito fillings, beef, chicken, and pork, it is great they offer spinach and roasted vegetables. The place is small and well thought out. You can watch the attendant make your meal behind the counter, ironically just about the same way you would in the Subway sandwich shop next door. I’d definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

this Whole Enchilada was the first I had been to — and I have been to the others since, and so far the others have been on-par with this initial TWE contact. the food is good, but not the best Mexican joint you will come across — it doesn’t really try to be fancy or high-end, its just a nice simple take out Mexican place. I would never consider a place like Taco Bell or Del Taco, this is more authentic and less fast food — and a lot less nasty. The vegetarian choices are good, but are very bean-heavy and if you don’t eat beans your choices get cut down. Roasted Veg Quesedilla was decent — a little oily, nachos were ok but nothing spectacular. easy quick mex stop.

A little place for some cool food A nice alternative to Taco Bell, the Enchilada has a wide seleciton of items for such a small place. They seem to push the healthy label for their food but they do have a lot of vegetarian things to munch on and a absolutely delicious variety of burritos. Not much of an atmosphere, you get to sit on a small area inside or go outside and watch the traffic on Rt. 1. The reasonably priced, healthy food is the attraction here.

This is a great quick spot for lunch if you are in the area. Plenty of vegetarian options for those who steer clear of meats and a flavorful spicy chicken for those who don’t. I like to order the vegetarian quesadilla as a light lunch option. It’s always bursting with veggies and comes with a side of chips and salsa. I usually order a small guacamole to accompany this. Theirs is excellent. They have bottled beverages in a cooler, Mainly T’s, Snapple, Water, etc. The prices are fair and everyone that works there is always friendly.
