This place is in a great location, but it was very noisy and the food marginal. This is probably a better place to have a beer and some fried chicken strips. I had the meatloaf special, served with fries. It was just so so. It would have been better with mashed potatoes and gravy or as a sandwich. The kids pizza was horrible and the mini corn dogs expensive. The pulled pork was also marginal. This is a convenient, but expensive place that had loud music and marginal food. The server was nice and at least took the kids pizza off our bill and added the corn dogs.

The Slippery Otter was fantastic! We had a very large party — and the party size was in flux for awhile so I really was an annoying customer as I would tell hostess«we are 15», then, 10 minutes later«we are 12», then«we are 16». The Hostess was LOVELY and patient and was a good communicator«I am holding that table plus the one next to it when that group is done…», and when we did get seated, the food was very very good. Two people ordered fish and chips and said they were great; I had a salad which contained very fresh ingredients; a couple of the guys had burgers. Fries are hand cut! Really good. Portions were generous and the waiter, like the hostess, was LOVELY.

Great beer, burgers, pizza and salads. They have an awesome beer guide and great burger selections including an elk burger. We came here twice with a table of 6 — some with dietary restrictions and their service was awesome. Said(shout out to the best server ever) was great. He has solid local knowledge and was amazing at handling all our individual quirks with our orders and questions about the area. Definitely worth popping in(and ask for Said!).

Quality food and pizza in West Yellowstone’s sea of mediocre restaurants. Started with the special beef stew, which had large chunks of meat. Shared a pizza which was cooked perfectly. Service was fast and friendly!

Good place to stop. Only pizza, salads, and burgers though. I thought the fries looked greasy from the photo but they were really good! The Greek pizza was good but pretty salty and flavorful– which you get with Kalamata olives and feta but it was over the top where we couldn’t eat more than two pieces. The kids loved the mini corn dogs. It was also really loud and not great for our group of ten. Our waitress Jen was fabulous and attentive. It took forever to seat our large group but ordering and getting the food was quick.

We went to this place late on a Wednesday night after a play at the Playmill, so first plus is that they’re open until 11, even on weeknights. The place was Family-friendly. My son ordered fish & chips, which he really liked. The fries were particularly good. Great selection of beers– we ordered the sampler first & then picked our favorites. The pizza sauce was s little on the spicy side & crust was a tad thick /doughy. Not bad, just so you know what you’re getting. Service was fast & very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

We tried the Slippery Otter Pub after a day in Yellowstone NP. The reviews were a bit mixed but we took a chance and weren’t disappointed. There was a wait of 10 – 15 minutes for our group of 6 at 6:30PM, which seemed reasonable, and the staff was efficient at getting tables ready for those of us waiting. Our server, Lonny, was very friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was good, not amazing, but we were all happy and well-fed. Even though it’s a pub, it was very family-friendly. Yellowstone trivia on the menu kept us entertained while we waited.

The waiter was amazing! He was attentive, helpful and joked around with us. The food was as you would have expected it to be, it was good and you got what you paid for thats for sure. They had the hockey game turned on and it was just a fun place to be that night.

Typical bar with a decent clean atmosphere. Food was good, We had wings, salad and Bison Burger. Wings were decent and salad was fresh. The burger was really good, it’s cooked just right, the meat was juicy and tender. The price was relatively high but it’s reasonable for a very touristic place like YSNP. Our server was very funny but very attentive and he is good waiter.

Received 4 stars review And 1 star review! I went with 4 stars and OMG My money better spend at Mc Donald down the street. I had BLT Chicken salad and was serve in a square soup bowl instead dinner plate. Romaine were very old dark green and rotten the wait person offer to replace, no way the other 2 salad bowls were the same. So my review is 1 star because the waitperson tried to make it right and for the food is NO star.

We had the slipper otter back to back nights around midnight after coming out of the park late. The food was good, service was pretty good, and it was priced right. No real complaints. Worth the stop!

I think that this place will be good or not depending on what you like and the quality of food you are used to. My mother and father in law from Colorado really liked the place and especially liked the fries. I, on the other hand, thought the burger was good/decent, but couldn’t stand the fries(and I am from Seattle). Place was clean and server was nice.

I was expecting service to be bad based on some of the reviews but honestly it was really good, generous service. The kids(age 2 and 4) loved their chicken strips and asked for more. The burgers had a little more pink than I would have normally wanted but the food was good, just not exceptional. A bit pricey but all around good! Parking was pretty rough — street parking was the only option.

Bam! This is the place to eat at in Yellowstone! The service is exceptional and so is the food! Our waitress, Emily, was wonderful! I wish we were staying in town longer. We would definitely come back here!

Ambiance — 2 stars Service — 5 stars Food quality — 4 stars Value — 3 stars Overall — 3.5 stars Angus pepper burger was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had. Sadly my friends fish and chips were not fresh battered but the frozen type and deep fried. The fries were very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Décor on the inside is cheap, definitely looks better on the outside than the inside, but we were not looking for ambiance just some solid food and that is exactly what we received. All in all A-OK, nothing to write home about though.

Unilocal needs to post the unposted reviews because this place doesn’t deserve a high score. We ate here for dinner and the hostess who was short with dark skin(so others know who we I am talking about) was rude from the start. She put us in a booth that was very small. Our friend is 6ft 8in and over 300lbs. I am also a big guy so it was obvious a booth wouldn’t work. We asked to be moved to any number of empty tables and she procrastinated. We finally ended up at a table. The waiter(guy with redish brown hair and a beard) came to the table with an I Pad. He wouldn’t answer questions and when asked would rudely tell us to read the menu. I started to order a steak salad and when I learned they didn’t have honey mustard dressing I asked him to take my wife’s order. He refused and said he had already started my order on the computer. Very rude. We asked him to split the bill and he said he would but didn’t. The food was good but the service is so bad that I had to give it a bad rating.

We drove into West Yellowstone from the north and drove by this place and both said«That looks fun!» We then checked into our hotel, looked at Unilocal reviews, and decided to try it. The place looks great on the outside but the inside is depressing and reminded me of a pool hall. The hostess did not smile and seated us to the closest table to the door. The waiter them came, and he is obviously the same sarcastic(in a bad way) guy that we read about in other reviews. I ordered ice tea with extra lemon and he explained that they don’t normally serve lemons with their tea but would do it for me. We have been staying in the Ruby Valley of Montana for the past month with family, and there is NOSNOW there. We remarked to the waiter how surprised we were to see so much snow(in our Vermont eyes) in West Yellowstone — snow banks are as high as our car. In the rudest possible way he said that this is NOT a lot of snow and huffed away. Mom and I just laughed it off… but wow, was more rudeness to come. He then came back to get our orders and I ordered a bison burger. He asked if I wanted cheese and I said yes and asked if they had pepper jack. He then said«Our cheeses are all listed on the menu.» So I looked at the list and it included pepper jack. Not sure why he felt the need to point that out to me. He then took my mom’s order and I picked up my phone to finish a FB post and he then started to lecture me on how rude people are with phones. I looked at him in shock as he continued on about phones. I said to mom«Do you want to leave?»(I have NEVER walked out of a restaurant.) She said sure, and the waiter said that he had already put our orders through his iPad-like device. I didn’t care and we stood up and left, as we were seated by the door, and he FOLLOWEDUSOUTSIDE, lecturing about phones and that our order was already in. DONOTEATHERE!!!
