If you are visiting Rhode Island, you have to seek and try the Rhode Island favorites. Clam cakes, hot wieners, and coffee milk!(Stuffed quahogs, pizza strips, and awful awfuls!!) I found out about Ferrucci’s New York System while Unilocaling for Olneyville’s New York System, which was recommended by a fellow Unilocaler. On a side note, the Olneyville’s New York System is the«original» from what I was informed. I am not sure if the«New York System» restaurants are all connected, for there are several restaurants throughout the area with the name. I decided to come to this location because it was more convenient for me. Small private parking lot with additional street parking. Ferrucci’s was packed for dinner with many locals. That’s always a good sign! However, the workers were busy, that I noticed they were not using sanitary gloves between payment and food placement into the take out packaging. That was an immediate star deduction for me. Food: Extensive menu with weekend specials and daily soups. The menu is located in the front of the restaurant with some items on the right, next to the drink machine. Hot wieners(3⁄5): Order saying«all the way!» These hot dogs are served on steams buns with meat, chopped onions, mustard, and celery salt. Hungry, I ordered three of them. It is like a chili dog without the chili flavor, literally. I had to put ketchup on my hot wiener #2 and #3 for some flavor. I am not the biggest fan, but I am glad I tried a Rhode Island favorite. Coffee milk(5⁄5): Honestly, I was skeptical at first when I was informed that I had to try this. Upon ordering, the lady asked if I wanted a small or large. Good thing I went with the latter because it was delicious. There is a hint of sweet like coffee, without the coffee flavor overpowering the milk. Great balance. This drink can also be made at home, just with milk and Autocrat coffee syrup or Eclipse coffee syrup. Did you know that this is the official state drink of Rhode Island?! Clam cakes: Essentially, clam pieces surrounded by fried dough. I saw these babies being made, while I was about to order. Apparently, the clam cakes that I saw were the last batch of the day.(*sad face*) Overall, affordable food with fast service.

Clean, bright, spacious and affordable! We have been there twice for breakfast and recommended it to others who agreed that this was an excellent diner style meal/breakfast.

I have been there a few times and I love it!!! Friendly staff, very good food, and it is reasonably priced. My husband and I went there last night for dinner and we didn’t realize they were closing but they still let us order food and eat in without being rushed, plus they cooked the food to perfection. This is one of my absolute favorite places to go.

I recently returned to visit Rhode Island and had to have a couple of «gaggers.» They were pretty much as I remember them. Slightly crispy bun, weiner covered in proper amount of mustard, sauce, onion, celery salt, etc. Service was very fast and friendly. As others have said, these wieners can’t possibly be good for you in the long run, but boy do they taste good. My wieners were delivered by the cook(thinking she may have been the manager or owner) with a «here you go, enjoy sweet cheeks!». Only in Rhode Island!

I moved to the area a few years back. Being a Rhode Islander, I immediately searched for the closest New York System. Though my stomach can only handle it a couple of time a year, this is the location I go to. They close strangely early for a wiener joint, but the food is good. Notice how I said its good, not healthy, but good. Everyone is super nice and the service is fast, but make no mistake that this is a diner and that’s the level of food you’re getting.

This place has been around forever, it’s a shame the old place caught fire, but I do like their new location very much.(I guess it’s not too new anymore) The food is good, quick and fairly cheap, the staff has been around forever, they are friendly and I have yet to be disappointed. I was reluctant to move to Artic even though we found a beautiful and cheap apartment, but living across from Ferruccis makes up for it lol! I love being able to walk across the street and grab cheap food quick!

It is like diner food hit or miss, It is good when it is good and blah when it is bad. The service is fast and friendly. It is clean and the staff is nice, they make a good effort to remember people and what they like. I enjoy it and the prices are reasonable and since it is down the street is is a quick fix. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the fish and chips, wasn’t seasoned well and was extremely soggy. The fries are homemade and even taste good with the meat sauce and onions on top. The hot dogs are good all the way. The burgers are simple and a nice quick fix. The fried shrimp is just frozen fried shrimp so don’t waste your money on that if you have some at home. Breakfast the bacon can sometimes be under cooked as it is just heated in the microwave the pancakes are HUGE and delicious. Corned beef hash is hit or miss I like mine to have a bit of a crunch on them and these don’t and I always have to add salt and pepper. I actually get them and the hash brown to go take them home and put them in a cast iron skillet season them up add a bit of sherry wine to it and let them build a crust and they come out perfect! As far as breakfast the only other thing I had was sausage and I didn’t care for it. Wow I eat a lot of meat and starch hmmm oh well the tummy wants what the tummy wants!

Food is INCREDIBLYFAST, then again it’s only wieners and fries Yum. Right in the heart of West Warwick. Seems to have a bunch of regulars, and staff was all over that. Could totally afford to have free refills on soda, other than that, Great

This is a relativity new, family run eatery that boasts«Where you can get the best WIENERS in Rhode Island.» I would not go that far, but they are good. The place is nice and open with table seating. They have a very full menu with your typical breakfast and lunch items. Great thing is that they also offer a dinner menu. M-Th they are open till 7. On Fridays they are open till 8. Saturday back to 7 and Sunday they close at 1:00PM. So it is good do have a little café that is family run and open for an early dinner. The family and I decided that we should stop in for some hot wieners and see what this place was about. The service was being handled by a couple of teen age girls that were really flying. They were friendly and working there tails off. We ordered a total of 7 hot wieners, a small fry, two sodas and a water. Total bill was around $ 17.00. Now, yes, I think that is expensive, but it was no more expensive that Wien-O-Rama and NY System. So it is all in line. I will be back for some of their other menu items. Their Breakfast selection looked great. So the cautionary tail; it is family owned and operated. So, if they decide they don’t want to be open, then they won’t be open. Nothing wrong with that, but nice to tell the folks by making a sign or something. The daughter and I went there for the first time the day after Christmas. It was 2:05PM. The sign in the window said ‘OPEN.’ So we went to the door, there were folks inside eating and we tried to open the door. Noting. Tried again. Nothing. Stepped back and looked at the signs. ‘OPEN’ in neon, check, Monday,(open till 7:00PM), check. So why wont the door open. So maybe it was a push and not a pull door. Back to give it the ol college try. And yes, by now people inside are seeing the crazy guy outside. And a side note, my 4.5 year old daughter is a huge hot wiener fan and was getting a bit upset. So finally, after some time, a click at the door. A young lady looked at me and said, «We are closed!» I looked at the signs, and pointed to them with a slight grin. She said, with a straight face, «We decided to close early, it is the day after Christmas.» then shut and locked the door. So, they need to work on that or I need to get used to the whole, the day after Christmas is a crap shoot when it comes to eating thing in Rhode Island
