On a recent visit, I had good food at good prices with good service. I had camerones a la diabla, shrimp with onions and jalapenos in salsa. On the side was rice and refried beans. The onions and jalapenos tasted fresh while the shrimp had a pleasant, grilled flavor. This dish was spicy hot, which I enjoyed, but be warned the diabla dishes are the hottest on the menu. I also had a taste of the ceviche. It was a wonderful acidic, cool counterpoint to my fiery shrimp. The avocado was creamy without being overripe and the seafood was delightfully chewy. I thought the ceviche was a bit on the small side, however, the camerones a al diabla was sufficiently large without being a gut buster. My only disappointment with Dora’s was the lack of beer and wine. The owner expressed hope in getting approved for a beer license, however.
