West Palm Beach Tri-Rail Station

The train is a great way to travel in South Florida. I ride it with my bike. Ticket is $ 5 for all day riding. Train is on time, very clean, drinking water and cups on board, and clean restrooms. I feel very safe on board.

I can’t believe I’m the first one to write a review for this little Train station.
It’s cute, it’s pinkish in color and it offers me the AMTRAK train to NYC with ease. Not many people use trains to head north these days, but I use one whenever I can. Call it an ECO thing, or just my love of having my own private room, with outlets, a shower, bed and bathroom, well… let’s just say I’m a huge fan of train travel without the hassle of airlines.
I have been to this train station over a dozen times. Each time I notice it’s clean, pretty much, with benches inside and benches outside. It’s a covered station, yet you are outside, protected from the scorching sun.
The staff is somewhat nice and hassle free.
I have never bought anything to eat here, as I have a no no rule about buying food from a newsstand type of place. That’s just me.
The bathrooms are not clean, fair warning. They are located outside of the building and… well… I’m very picky when it comes to clean spaces, so if you’re like me, user beware.
Overall the area is on Tamarind which in-​itself is a big question mark as safety is concerned, but the station is closer to Okeechoobee Blvd and therefore much safer to be there. There are a ton of cops around too, so no worries about traveling alone.
