Sometimes I will crave a dish prepared with oxtail. Never tried their version of it so I wanted to give them a chance.
Tip… Hot prepared food is ordered to the left upon entering. I did not see a designated area to order but they were helpful in directing me. The place is a small Caribbean grocer.
My mission was the oxtail meal and this review is specifically for the dish. Ordered my usual way, oxtail with cabbage only. It was14.99, a bit more than what I am used to.
The portion was more than generous, enough for 2 hungry people. The meat was perfectly seasoned, and not fatty. Tender. The sauce itself was delicious. I wanted to sop it up with some bread if I had any. Plenty of crisp cabbage.
I was happier than a pig in mud as I devoured one of my favorite comfort go-to’s.
