Service wasn’t that great, the workers sort of pushed my group off to the side once we finished ordering. Other than that the interior is super cute and feels homey, like a living room! I got the swedish ice tea and it was pretty good! The size was a bit small however, but that would be my only complaint. The atmosphere was great and I enjoyed stopping by!

Nice décor, beautiful place but omg, how can you have 10 people behind the counter and still deliver the most inefficient service, ever? The pastries and food look delicious but the coffee was at best, average. This place keeps true to that Palm beach feel of overpriced products and mediocre service.

While waiting for my car that was being worked on at Goodyear they recommended we walk a few blocks to the Swedish coffee house. A few words immediately pop into mind «clean», «crisp», «order», «monk». Now in my world these words are great. We ordered the semla roll/​bun because it looked so good– we were not disappointed. We thought it would be super sweet but it was a nice blend. Their bagels are a bit doughy but not bad or terrible. Every table was seated on this Saturday morning. Many little dogs were inside with their owners, I wonder what they would think if I brought my 90 lb chow chow? Ample outdoor seating as well. The iced tea has a great taste.

This place is so great I came back twice during my 4 day stay in West Palm.
On both occasions, this café was extremely busy which clearly says something.
Visit 1
I came in around 11:30am and the place was packed. I was lucky enough to order and have a table available. The menu is pretty extensive. Breakfast options are available as well as many sandwich options. They also have a wide variety of European pastries too. I ordered a café latte and the Salami+Brie Chibatta which came with a side salad. The café latte was perfect and it even came with latte art, who doesn’t love that? Cured meat with melted cheese on chibatta is my weakness so this sandwich was delicious in my opinion.

This time around I came in for pick up as I was stricted on time. I ordered the breakfast Crossiant Sandwhich. Although, it did take a bit longer than I had expected, again, the place was packed. The crossiant was fresh and the eggs were fluffy so it was worth the wait.
Overall, Johan Joe’s is happening and attracts a wide variety of people. It’s a pleasent experience, the staff is extremely friendly and of course, Swedish!

What a lovely place to escape for a delicious whimsical luncheon. The food is delicious and the ambiance more so. Highly recommend for the divine crepes and salads. Parking in the back. Met the owners and they are charming.

I have tried to visit this place a few times but parking was always difficult. Today I was determined and after 10 min of trolling the streets, I found parking.
The décor is amazing. And lots of comfy chairs to sit with your coffee and pastry. There’s also tables and chairs for a meal.
There were so many delicious options! I will be back for sure.

This place has pure sophistication and flair! The food and drink is authentic, the personalized service makes the experience even more enjoyable!

My roommates and I LOVE Johan’s! I, personally, am a huge fan of the plain coffee — which, by the way, comes with complimentary refills if it’s ordered in house. The warm butter croissant sandwich is another favorite of mine for breakfast.
The other week though, I didn’t want coffee (a rare thing), so I decided to try the sweet Swedish iced tea — oh my gosh. So good. I come from a southern family, so I like my tea bold and sugared up — but this tea was light and lightly sweetened and amazing. It was the perfect companion as I mixed my latest song.
Keep it up Johan’s!

Great coffee and service ! Never had a bad meal either. The pastries are awesome as are the sandwiches

The décor is beautiful, it’s open, bright and very contemporary with over the top chandeliers and Alice and wonderland style purple velvet chairs. Vavavoom! It’s super clean as well. Everything was very reasonably priced. Pancakes $ 7 or $ 8, bagel breakfast sandwiches $ 4, our lattes were just under $ 4. The food and lattes were very tasty. My only qualm was that it was a little snooty, but nothing overly snobby. I would definitely go back.

I finally got around to checking this place out. My wife and I got a cinnamon roll, sweet chili chicken sandwich, mozzarella and sundried tomato sandwich, an Americano and a macchiato.
First off let me explain my rating. I rated them separating for 2 different things. Food and coffee since those were the items we ordered.
Food was really great! Both sandwiches were awesome, the side salad was tasty, and the cinnamon roll was good as well! We enjoyed it and would definitely come again for food! So I’d give the food 4 stars.
The coffee on the other hand, lacking. From what we tried, I was very unimpressed. The macchiato was huge, resembling more of a cappuccino, and tasted like hotel coffee with some steamed milk poured on top. Very unimpressed, the Americano was maybe a bit better than the macchiato but still underwhelming. I give the coffee 2 stars and would not order again unless I came for food and really really wanted coffee for some reason. Otherwise I would never go out of my way for it.
Overall a good aesthetic, nice décor and kind of a posh European feel. Good food, meh coffee.

Décor: excellent
Coffee: espresso: excellent, latte: beautifully done, regular: fresh.
Sandwiches: had the Chicken w/​Pineapple and fresh mozzarella. Not something you’d expect in a Swedish coffeehouse, but it was excellent, and the side salad it came with was good too.
Desserts: I’ve had the Cinnamon roll and a few others — my favorite is the apple cake (truly decadent!)
People: It seems that some of the staff are still learning, but they’re very friendly and work as a team, which I appreciate.
Clientele: all sorts, including a healthy dose of Swedes.
When the sandwich and soup menu diversifies and the hot chocolate is strong enough, we’ll move the score to a 5!
As a comment to another review — the location is about 2 – 4 blocks north of CityPlace and 3 blocks south from Clematis — easy walking distance from both.

… Excellent food, atmosphere and people. I am ½ Swedish, and was exstatic to find this Gem of a place. A great place to break up your day, and enjoy friends and conversation and food, In Sweden this is called «Fika». Tack Tack, SKAL. Thanks, Thanks, Cheers!

This place is great. Don’t let the fancy white furniture fool you. It is very relaxed with friendly staff. They have an excellent selection of pastries, hot breakfast dishes, and sweedish food, though I have not been bold enough to try the herring. I am very Johan’s expanded my experience with Sweedish food beyond the Ikea’s cafeteria.

Have enjoyed breakfast here a few times. Excellent atmosphere, food, customer service and coffee! A rare gem in West Palm!

Had an Americano coffee which was really good. Better than my usual Starbucks .
But they really need to improve hot chocolate. It was basically milk and light chocolate flavor so weak that the person I bought it for didn’t want it.

Beautiful atmosphere, lots of seating, free wifi, delicious pastries, sandwiches, Swedish coffee — what more can you ask for!

Just had a fantastic lunch of Swedish meatballs. The food was great and the service was even better. For dessert I had a Swedish cinnamon bun and a cup of Lofbergs coffee. Awesome!

Well really I’d give it a 4.5, but round up!
The food and coffee there was excellent, I really hope this place makes it, it kind of has a bad location and is a bit pricy… that said the food was realllllly good and the restaurant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere.

Amazing coffee and a really cool spin on a modern coffee house. Very inviting atmosphere with a friendly staff. Parking is easy too.
