Dunkin’ Donuts

Update… Great service but tastes like milk is water down! I drink 2 cups of milk a day (I love it!) so I know unadulterated milk from watered down milk — they are cutting corners doing this. Raising the question, where else are they cutting corners???

Two stars for quick service only. Their coffees and lattes all taste weak, like burnt water. And I have tried different types and flavors. I have been to much better locations in Essex County. On Saturday I ordered a breakfast egg and bacon wrap which had one piece of undercooked bacon on it. Had to throw it out, as well as the French Vanilla coffee which was awful. This location is pretty clean and has plenty of parking in the back lot, if they only learned to make decent coffee!

It’s a Dunkin Donuts, what more can you say? Coffee is okay, you can do better but you can also do worse.

Now that I have to drop my daughter at school each morning I pass this DD every single day… and I am thankful it’s here. And since I no longer have time for a second cup of coffee in the morning this DD will now have to be my new stop for a caffeine fix.
The parking here is a bit of a nightmare as I have to cross traffic to get to the driveway and the parking lot behind the building is pretty tight. I’d also say that so far I haven’t been impressed with the speed of the employees in this DD. Every time I’ve been here the line has been just about to the door, the staff at the register are ok, but the folks making the coffee/​food seem to be less than enthusiastic… not what I need when I’m in caffeine distress or running late. C’mon folks, speed it up-it’s coffee and pre-​made eggs for crying out loud. Nothing should take you more than 45 seconds if you aren’t toasting a bagel/​muffin.
Though the parking and service aren’t quite high on my list of positives, they do make a good cup of coffee here… and YES, I’ve been to DD’s that will screw up the coffee. If you can be consistend with your coffee I’ll give you my standard 3-​stars every time… if you can bump up the service a bit and get me out the door quickly and with a smile I’ll be happy to bump you up to 4 stars.

It’s a straight up, standard Dunkin Donuts.
You’ll have to park on the street, unless you don’t mind walking a decent distance from the rear lot.
Just a convenient place to grab a cup of coffee on the way to work…

Dunkin Donuts is a fat suit in waiting, however, if one chooses to go there (for Munchkins) it is possible to evaluate it on its prospective merits compared to other locations. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t express my extreme pleasure of the DD coffee that others rave about, but I do get Munchkins for my kids (I eat half the box).
The parking here is a bit strange as you wind down a tight one-​way to get behind the shopping center if you enter off Pleasant Valley Way. You can then enter from the back and as DDs go, this is a pretty big one. It is relatively clean and the service is quick. The service is also not what one would call friendly, but as long as they reach their (hopefully clean) hands with the wax paper into the barrels of Munchkins, I am good… I mean my kids are happy and infused with sugary fried dough balls.

WOW I can not begin to tell you how happy I am that this DD opened about 6 months ago. I am definitely a huge fan of DD coffee and definitely not of Starbucks and most other coffee. Maybe its Starbucks’ Do it Yourself philosophy, or that they make fresh coffee every 60 minutes and not 18 like DD, or something else, but when I want true coffee I want DD coffee.
When I go back to NJ where I stay is not very far from this location, and there really is no DD around. I would normally wind up settling for Starbucks, but would always seem to leave disappointed. Finally I saw a sign that this place was opening and I got so excited.
I have been in several times since the opening and have yet to leave disappointed. Only reason I give this DD 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of parking. They really can’t control it, I shouldn’t hold it against them, but parking by them is really awful.
