Loved this place but suddenly it appears to have closed, though something else appears to be opening in the same location?

Peanut sauce makes everything awesome. Salad rolls were fresh. Hit the spot, but at least need mint and/or cilantro to really boost flavor. Healthy & Delicious with peanut sauce was simple and fresh and yummy and good for sharing. But, here is the thing… a good detailed cleaning is needed(on a regular basis)! Staff is cut off from the dining room for some reason so you order at the counter and then get called over to pick up your food in stages. Can’t image it works very well if it is busy. Tables were all slightly dirty, I think mostly because staff isn’t on the floor at all. Layout is just odd. And as I have seen at other small businesses, the owner’s person & personality is front and center(«holding court») and not to the betterment of the business.

This is a great little gem in West Linn. Their pad thai is good, and there are so many options for veggie and meat stir fry. From healthy to decadent, this place is not too expensive, tasty and great for takeout. And the owner and staff are very sweet people. Highly recommend.

Update: We still LOVE this place. It’s the Tom Kha that I order and my husband orders the BBQ Chicken w/extra peanut sauce. The owner remembers our name… she is super sweet and makes her own peanut sauce every day(delicious!) We get take-out here several times a month and her dishes are very consistent — which I love.

The food is amazing, and the amount you get for the price is WOW! My girl friend and I are now weekly customers here! Would definitely recommend this place to get some healthy and delicious noodles!

After ordering the Tom Yum soup, I saw the«chef» open up the refereater and select a bucket of pre-made soups and curries to use. I must of seen their whole menu in there, all pre made from who knows how long. When the place first opened I was impressed, but laziness has set in. What is most of all astonishing is that Dang’s Thai is a 5min drive with better food and similar prices. Maybe chef ramsey should come here!

I want to give them a better review. The food is yummy and the service good. I just can’t get past the ants all over the front counter. I thought it was maybe an unexpected invasion but two weeks later they were still all over. You know what they say… if you see one there’s many you don’t see :(bummer cause it was yummy and convenient.

Ordered pad thai with shrimp. It was the red ketchup based sauce — not my favorite. It was kind of soup too much sauce. I’d try another dish and see if it was better.

First of all, let me say that the name of this place made me envision an entirely different kind of restaurant(something like Noodles and Company). This is essentially a teriyaki/thai restaurant. After perusing the menu and thinking everything sounded really good, another patron suggested I get the pad thai. If the universe is trying to get me to eat pad thai, I’m not one to fight it, so I ordered a chicken pad thai to go. I really enjoyed the pad thai. I definitely have no complaints about it. I wouldn’t say that it rocked my world, but it was definitely good. The portion seemed pretty average — not amazingly large or small. What I’m not understanding is why people describe this as a big step up from Thai Orchid. I really enjoy Thai Orchid, and I don’t think their lunch prices are all that different. My Oodles of Noodles pad thai cost me $ 8, which is a pretty standard price for a West Linn takeout lunch in my experience. I don’t think it is any kind of amazing value. I will definitely be back… someday. The soups sounded really good, and there definitely seemed to be a fresh aspect to their food that really lacks in your typical teriyaki joint. UPDATE: I went back and tried the Tom Kha soup. It was excellent. I liked that I had the choice of having it with rice or noodles.

Good portions! Chewy udon noodles(what I was looking for) & easy on the wallet. Nothing fancy but perfect for a quick and healthy dinner. Had the coconut soup w/noodles. Little sweet… but still hit the spot for me

We were excited to try this place but the food was just ok. We wouldn’t go back. Also the wait was very long, I know this is a small restaurant but the wait seemed unusually long.

The two cooks were laughing hysterically that makes a bad atmosphere. Not professional. My table was not clean and there was bad service(I had to get the food and put it away myself). The food was okay and at the right temperature. There was a lot of greens in the Oodle BBQ Special.

Excellent! What a treat. The salad rolls are outstanding and the Pad Thai better then any in the city.

They know my name! After the first visit the owner has remembered our name each time. I like that! Plus the food is fresh and delicious.

I really wanted to like this place especially after a not-so-good experience at Sauce Boss. I came here after reading the great reviews only to be disappointed. Now that I look at it, some of these great reviews look suspiciously like self reviews with only one review for this restaurant. All I can say is that they use MSG because I had a pounding headache that usually comes after consuming MSG. I need to find a Thai restaurant that doesn’t leave me with a headache. But if you’re not sensitive to MSG like me, this place is okay. Maybe I’ll give this place a second chance if they have MSG-free items on the menu.

Ordered the tofu yakisoba. It didn’t knock my socks off, but overall, for a quick lunchtime take out, it was fine. Fresh vegetables, noodles and tofu. Flavors met the adequate non-offensive meter. I would go back and try other items. However, they need to improve their customer service which is lacking — no smiles, no «thank you», barely an acknowledgement when I ordered take out from the counter.

Just tried this new spot and really liked it. My daughter had the soup with rice noodles and veggies. The stocks are all made from scratch and it was delicious. I had yellow curry which was very good also. Better than either of the currys from the other local Thai places. The Mango with stick rice was fantastic. The owner is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I’m a customer!

Okay, so, I see there is only one other review of this place so far, and while I don’t think that review is entirely fair, I don’t think it’s entirely unfair either. However, I will say that I like this place… with some caveats. One thing you need to understand is, even though they include typical«Teriyaki Bowl» style dishes in their menu, I would NOT classify this restaurant as «Japanese». Japanese restaurants have sushi, ramen, udon, etc. This place doesn’t have that stuff. They just have some dishes with teriyaki sauce. That just doesn’t qualify them to be called a «Japanese» restaurant, IMHO. The next thing you need to know is this: it’s run by Thai people. That means, their cooking is heavily influenced by Thai cooking. That’s a crucial bit of information, imho. If you want good Japanese food, go to a restaurant run by Japanese. If you want good Thai food… Third, it’s inexpensive food. Most of the dishes run from $ 7-$ 9, and the servings are ample. One entrée will fill you up. EDIT: Appetizers(including the Salad rolls mentioned below) are only $ 3. That’s very reasonable, imo. I have been here twice. The first time, I tried the Teriyaki chicken rice bowl. It was… decent. But definitely not spectacular. The chicken was a little overcooked(but not as bad as the other reviewer describes). However, it was also $ 6. I have had much better chicken teriyaki bowls, but they also cost a lot more. The second time, I tried the Pad Thai. It was… AWESOME! I ordered Pad Thai with Tofu instead of meat, and I was really shocked at how good it was. Much better than many other sit-down restaurants(Thai Orchid — I’m looking at you) and for $ 7, it was a steal. Oh, I also had some Salad Rolls, and those were good. I’d give them about a 7 on a 0 – 10 scale. So, here’s my advice. If you want authentic Japanese food, and are willing to pay for it, then go somewhere else because you aren’t going to get authentic Japanese food here. However, if you want great THAI food, that is INEXPENSIVE, definitely check this place out. At least, check out the Tofu Pad Thai! Note: they’re still running a limited menu because they’ve only been open a few months. They added some new items to the menu on my second visit, but I haven’t had the chance to try them. They had an interesting«Apple salad» listed which I may try the next time I go. Also, the owner mentioned adding Bubble Tea to their offerings, and if they do(and it’s the good stuff, not from a mix) then I will be very happy…
