Wells Fargo as a national bank has been HORRIBLE. They took over a lot of smaller banks and their systems don’t mesh, are not consistent, and they definitely do not share info nationally. This was seen in comparison to Bank of America and two smaller multi-state banks. Due to a parent’s death, I took over finances and had to deal with seven different banks — WF takes the cake in the ineptitude department. This particular branch had me wait 1 hr and 1.75 hrs simply to cash out CDs. Teller help is severely limited in scope(but this seems common at many banks). Inability to pull up Power-of-Attorney documents submitted four times to WF was a treat — fortunately I brought the originals with me AGAIN. In closing accounts they couldn’t print a Cashier’s Check or wire the money to the bank down the road so I ended up leaving with $ 36,000 in stacks of small bills in a paper bag to make the transfer.
